Portland, OregonGreat week with the extended family
Left on 04/13/2013 for a stay in March 2013
We spent spring break in this wonderful house -- 11 of us, including six adults and five kids ages 10 to 17. The house is beautiful, well-maintained and has a great view of the meadow and Mt. Bachelor. Everyone loved the place. There's lots of open space, plenty of private spaces and places for the kids to be on their own. We planned to do a lot of cooking for Passover, and the kitchen was perfect for our needs -- lots of utensils, plates and cooking ware, and lots of space for everyone to help out (even two ovens). We appreicated having bikes on hand -- everyone got chances to ride around Sunriver. All in all -- a fantastic place.

We enjoyed Sister 6 very much. We have stayed at at least a half dozen properties over the years and Sisters was definitely the best. The view from the deck was incredible and it was so quiet. We did do a couple of things while we were there, but everyone was very content to hang out and visit and enjoy this beautiful home. We also appreciated how Bennington Properties made everything from reserving this property to departing the property flowed so easily. I will definitely reserve a vacation rental with you again. I'm hoping everytime we come up we could stay at Sisters 6, but we may not always have as many people. In fact this time we ended up only with 8 people. I know you could probably recommend a smaller nice place also, but Sisters 6 spoiled us. Thank you again for making everything so easy.

Don & Sheri,
Thanks so much. I love that home. I absolutely agree - the view out the back is incredible. You feel like you're a million miles away and in the middle of nowhere.
So glad you enjoyed.

Everyone had a great time. The house was perfect for our needs. We were disappointed that the Tv's were older and didn't have hook ups for the game systems. We managed to find other things to occupy our time.

Thanks Peggy,

Great House for Multiple Families

Left on 08/17/2011 for a stay in August 2011
Everything was great except we think there should pool towels available to use since the club pool doesn't have them. We had to call and get a lot more bath towels to bring to the pool. It would be easier for those renting to have the towels at the house rather then show up at the pool w/ nothing. Also the downstairs room (not the kids room) smelt like pee. I think you need to get the carpets cleaned in that house. Other than that, we loved the house and had a great time!

Manager
Thanks Craig, The carpets have been cleaned. 2 of our inspectors checked the entire downstairs and could not find any offending oders. But thanks for the heads up. Yes, it would be nice if each home had pool towels but we haven't found that to be practical. So in the confirmation we e-mail, we do suggest guests bring beach towels for the pools. Glad you loved the home. Thanks! Rick

Left on 07/21/2011 for a stay in July 2011
The house was very large and very clean. We had 12 people in our party and it worked great. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to cook in. The warming tray was great! The view from the house was beautiful and very peaceful. I contacted Bennington Properties a few times and they always came out very quickly and were very friendly. The only minor issue was the hot water in one of the downstairs baths. The shower wasn't very warm and didn't drain very well but this didn't affect our stay. We had a wonderful time and would stay here again.

Thanks Lisa,

Gresham, ORFantastic view/so-so house
Left on 07/21/2011 for a stay in June 2011
We have rented many Sunriver homes, but this one rated a a+ for the view and privacy. The best part of the house itself is that it is large...4+ bedrooms. The downside is that it was very noisy...wood floors, vaulted wood ceilings and lots of glass. We had 6 kids with us (ages 1 through 9) and every sound bounced through the house. Also, there were problems with the layout. The hot tub was located directly outside the bunk room where the kids slept so it was unusable for adults in the evenings. The kitchen had a very strange layout...obviously as the result of an ill-concieved remodel. Also, the kitchen was packed with too much stuff from several previous houses...several sets of pots, dishes and silverware (all unorganized and hard to find) but lacked some common essentials. It needs serious editing and organizing. It was difficult to prepare meals for twelve. Even with the fantastic view we would not rent this house again. There are better choices in Sunriver.

The home is beautiful with an open floor plan, lots of windows and an extraordinary view. The bedrooms/bathrooms are spaced at opposite corners on both levels so guests all have privacy. I loved this home and would stay here on my next visit if the unit is available.

The home was nice. Overall we had a nice time but we did have a couple of disappointments. We reported to your office that we weren't getting any hot water in the kitchen. And the bathrooms hot water was very inconsistent. We called and you had a man come out to the house to look at it. He informed us that this is a common complaint at this house and he didn't know what to do other than turn up the temp on the hot water tank. He did that but it had no change to the kitchen which remained cold water. In addition, we only had eight bath towels for the eight of us to use which required that we did laundry every day.
Response from Bennington Properties - 01/14/2011

Due to the sub-freezing temperatures we had for several weeks before this guest arrived, the hot water in the kitchen froze. A contractor thawed it out. We will do a complete inspection of the system.

Left on 01/04/2011 for a stay in September 2010
What a wonderful house and environment. We've stayed in Sunriver many times, but I believe this house is our favorite. We had a family reunion of sorts, the 12 that could come, and we had a great time. Everyone commented on the house, how big and comfortable it was. We enjoyed the views, took family pictures together, walks, bike rides, horseback riding, rafting on the Deschutes with our rafts and kayaks. The kitchen was large enough to cook meals for everyone. It was great having a large dining table for everyone. Cleanup was great, too. Everyone got involved, with two sinks going at once. All in all, great memories at a great house. Thank you Bennington.

Left on 09/02/2010 for a stay in August 2010
We enjoyed every bit of this home - from the wonderful communal space with luxury furnishings to the "away" space for a downstairs gane of "Killer Monopoly" for the pre-teen kids! Having sepearte sleeping and bath areas for kids and adults was fabulous. And just how many dishes does this home have? We counted service for at least 24. Great when kids keep putting their cups in the dishwasher after one use.
Two evenings we fished the Deschutes by packing our gear for a short bike ride to the river. A great location and very quiet. The only thing not perfect was the weather...Bennington is good, but not that good!
This is our seocnd stay with Bennington Properties and we will be back again. Thank you. -

This was a wonderful house, just as advertised. We even had an impromptu wedding ceremony there and it was great.
The house is extremely spacious with a huge hot tub and kitchen. The supply of kitchen utensils, spices were all more than expected, and there were also more bicycles and towels than we had expected. If I could suggest anything, it would be to have a/C (although it wasn't a big deal most of the time) and upgrade to flat screen TVs. But an amazing house that we would definitely come back to. -

Left on 07/14/2010 for a stay in July 2010
What a wonderful place to have a fantastic time with old friends. Four couples, each with their own bath and nice big bed had a vacation to cherish. The deck has a gorgeous view. Not one but two grills outdoors made for easy dinner prep. We ate every single meal in because we didn't want to waste time leaving our home away from home.
The spacious upstairs great room was perfect for cooking, dining, dancing and enjoying each other. The huge dining table with views out the floor to ceiling windows was fantastic. The comfy leather couches and easy chairs made gathering to play games and talk and talk and talk so inviting.
Best parts were the new memories made in this gem of a home. Sisters is on the outskirts of the SunRiver area, so you feel nicely secluded, and yet the bike paths and roadways take you anywhere in a jiff.
Bennington Property staff was helpful and very accommodating. We would rent from them again in a heartbeat.
...Of course the cooks would have a sink right next to the stove instead of on the backside of the island, but hey, what's a little thing like that compared to the great time we had.Response from Bennington Properties - 07/21/2010

It sounds like such a wonderful time, Tom. Thank you so much for telling us about your stay. We will work on moving that sink :).

Accommodations fit our family gathering perfectly. We kept the bike paths busy. Some road horses. Older kids (and some adults) kept cool in the pools and hot in the hot tub. Sunday was a great golf day at the Woodlands. Ping pong table got a good workout. (Wood pile is home to several balls). Service request (for nightlights for the smaller ones) met with an immediate response. Spacious enough for adult - kid spread with movie in one place and card game in another, etc. etc. etc. Meadow location provided peace, deer, sunsets, privacy...a glorious time for all. Thank You!

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the stay at this property. The views from the family room are excellent. Kids enjoyed the games available at the property. Bennington property managers were very friendly, courteous and easy to work with. Only thing we felt missing is a large screen TV in the family room (instead of the 27"). The full kitchen was wonderful (did not have to eat out at all). Our families enjoyed the home, sunriver and Mt.Bachelor skiing a lot.

Left on 01/06/2010 for a stay in December 2009
The house was fabulous, very roomy, everyone was relaxed because they could have their own time or be with the crowd. The adults had their space and the kids had theirs.
The kitchen had everything the cooks needed with tons of space to move around in(A crock pot would be nice) Everyone loved the space in the fridge and the separate freezer. It was wonderful to have a dining table that could fit everyone and the view was great.
We loved that we were able to bring our beloved dogs so they could spend the holidays with us.
The master bedroom bed was to die for, we never wanted to get out of bed.
There is nothing we did not like about this home, our family has voted to make this a regular event

California, Oregon and WashingtonWe had a wonderful family reunion!
Left on 12/02/2009 for a stay in November 2009
Our stay at #6 Sisters was a perfect fit for our long-delayed family reunion. The setting was beautiful, the house roomy enough for 8 adults to spread out when necessary, the hot tub a treat for those who like them. The fact that we could access the internet easily was a plus for those who had work or school work to do. Because the weather allowed sun, we were able to walk and easily drive to the village when necessary. The house was obviously geared for large groups of eaters! The view of the frozen river with the mountains beyond was perfect for the artists in the family. It was an ideal spot for any time of the year.
The only problem that you may want to check was the front right knob on the stove top that did not work. Two people mentioned a very wide spray setting on a downstairs shower head that couldn't be adjusted. We would have had a fire in the fireplace if the wood was dry or in smaller pieces.
But all things considered, a great stay!
The Evans family
P.S. Our thanks to Chatta for her excellent help in planning our stay.
P.P.S We are also interested in the condominiums available for rental. Perhaps 2-4 attached for our ever-widening family. Christmas holidays, and summer stays were asked about. How far ahead do we need to plan a booking for the Christmas season? Can you send us some materials and information that we can give to three other family groups when we see them during the holidays?
Thank you,
Sincerely, Susan Evans -

oregonBIg on privacy and space
Left on 09/10/2009 for a stay in September 2009
This property was in a league by itself regarding kitchen space and privacy.
There were 4 couples, 4 kids and 2 dogs in our party. Everyone had a little
space to call their own. 1 bedroom lacked a closet inside the room, but
storage overall was never an issue. The only negative comments we could
come up with were lack of stair runner (stairs are beautiful oak hardwood) but
slick to our 10 year old dog to go up and down on. And the kitchen is huge
which is great, but please give us a "real" garbage can in there. Gee, if that's
all we could come up with as negative I'd say it was great. Once again, great
customer service from Bennington.
