We really enjoyed our recent stay at Pine Mountain 1. Lots of snow on the ground outside and a great wood stove with lots of wood to keep things toasty inside. Plenty of heat available from the furnace without the wood stove, but it's so nice to have that living room fire going. Comfy furniture to snuggle up with a good book, and a well-equipped kitchen for making good food after fun days of sledding and skiing. Worked really well for our two small dogs because of the enclosed patio too. Our tween boys liked the spiral staircase to the sleeping loft (with its own full bathroom.) We took one of the other two large bedrooms on the main floor each with it's own bathroom as well. We needed an iron and maintenance brought one over quickly after we called. Turns out there was an iron and small board on a high shelf in a closet that we hadn't seen. Might help to have a note in with the welcome papers if there are items like that available on site. All in all a very nice stay. And it actually has a ramp entry for wheelchair access if someone needs that although it's a little steep.

This was our second vacation spent at 1 Pine Mountain. We came back because it was such a good place to decompress. The property was clean, well equipped, and a haven for rest. We had a week of perfect weather to be outdoors exploring the area. Bennington was responsive when we called them because the coffee maker was not working - brought a replacement out within the hour so we didn't miss our morning brew!

We have rented this house several times and we love it. We're able to bring our dogs with us. This property has a completely enclosed deck where the dogs can roam freely. The location is close to the park as well as the new Sharc center. There are plenty of bikes and board games to keep the whole family entertained. We highly recommend this property!

I had never stayed at Sunriver before and what a wonder house to have my first experience in with my family. It was spacious for the amount of people we had visiting. We loved how the bedrooms opened up to the outside deck. On the very hot days we wished it had air conditioning. We also liked the area, it felt that we were close to what we wanted to be close to Sharc and the river. All the people at Bennington were so friendly and really made us want to return and rent from them again. I liked searching the Bennington web site as well, it was very user friendly.

We've been vacationing in Sunriver for over 25 years and our recent stay at 1 Pine Mountain will be remembered as one of the best. The location was perfect for accessing Fort Rock Park and the river. Our two Golden Retrievers loved them both. The private, closed in deck was a perfect spot to relax with the pooches and not worry about the many deer that frequent the immediate area. As for the house, the layout is great with two master bedrooms downstairs that both open to the deck. Everything was spotless upon our arrival and the kitchen is very well supplied. I can't think of any cookware or appliances we needed and we cooked in most evenings. Also, there were seven bikes in the storage room. One of the nice touches provided by Bennington is a bowl full of dog goodies if you're traveling with a pet - very nice. This was an outstanding week and we will be sure to reserve 1 Pine Mountain for our next visit to Sunriver. Oh, one more thing. The staff at Bennington more than met our expectations - Great job!

We stayed here for three nights with a group of 6. It was a perfect amount of space and we really liked the way the two ground floor rooms opened onto the large fenced deck. It was near Fort Rock park, which was great for our friends little boy and the dogs. We also experienced great customer service from the Bennington staff. When we arrived we realized the TVs weren't working so we called Bennington to let them know. Katie arranged for the TVs to be replaced the same day. This is our second time renting from Bennington and it has been a great experience each time.

This was one of the better small houses we have rented. It had two comfortable master bedrooms and a loft upstairs for kids. In the summer, it might be really hot, but for winter it was great. The kitchen was lacking a bit in cooking pot options, but this was not a big deal. One thing, however, they need to have more blankets. We found only one worn blanket in the closet and we froze at night. The bedding was very thin. A few extra blankets would be superb so we can wrap up while watching TV in the living room. The price was pretty high for the size of house.

This was a great place to stay with 2 teenagers because it had 3 sleeping areas (one was a loft) and 3 bathrooms--no fighting or waiting! It felt spacious but cozy. It would be comfortable for 6 people, but I think 8 people would fell crowded unless the kids were little. I liked that there was lots of places to put your stuff...hooks, drawers, towels racks, shelves. Although, there wasn't really any place to put food, so we just moved a few things around in the cupboards temporarily. There was plenty of kitchen gadgets, coffee pot, toaster, even a blender. I would have been very comfortable staying longer than 4 days. Our only issue was the heat control--some rooms got too warm during the night at first but then too cold.

! Pine Mountain is very cute and modern with a rustic touch. The kitchen is well-stocked, and all of the furnishings are clean and comfortable. The woodstove was a nice treat, and it kept the living areas warm without having to run the furnace. Given that the home is not adjacent to any major roads, it's quiet, but still close enough for an easy walk to the village or lodge area. There are a few stains on the living room carpet, but I supposes that's to be expected in a pet-friendly property. A nice place all-around!

This home is beautiful inside and out. We were able to walk in and immediately begin a very relaxing stay. It was clean and comfortable with everything we needed to "set up housekeeping." Though there were only the two of us, we could easily envision bringing the whole family, or a second couple to share the space.
We appreciated the layout of the home which gave us so much natural light. We also enjoyed the quiet, wooded setting - deer grazing right outside the windows! The fenced in deck made our outdoor time seem very private too.
Though it was further from the river than we had wanted, we found the bike ride or walk on the paths wasn't all that long.
This was our second stay at a property managed by Bennington ~ they are the best~ we could not ask for better customer service. Their thoughtfulness helped us to plan for an easy stay and each staff member was pleasant and considerate in our interactions. -

This is a very nice small cabin in the heart of Sunriver. Two master suites, each with a full bath, recently remodeled kitchen and a very nice enclosed deck (perfect for dogs and small children).
We had four adults and a dog and that would be the most I would have in the cabin. There is a loft upstairs that could sleep 3-4 more but the living/kitchen/dinning room space downstairs is pretty small. It would be particularly crowded in the Winter when you don't have access to the deck.
Bennington is a great property management firm--from scheduling through departure. They have nice little touches to make you feel welcome and are very dog friendly.Response from Bennington Properties - 09/12/2011

This was our first trip to Sunriver and after 5 minutes at Pine Mountain 1 we were ready to move in forever! The location and layout of the house were ideal for our group which included 4 adults,and 5 children, ages 3-12. The furnishings were clean, tasteful and very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the deck after a long day of biking and swimming. The kitchen was well-stocked and ready for us, with the exception of coffee filters. We brought most of our food with us from home but had to go to the store for coffee filters. We left some of ours for the next guests. Also, the second master suite could really use a fan, since it gets quite hot and stuffy at night and there is no air conditioning. Overall, we had an outstanding vacation and look forward to returning next summer when the new recreation facility will be complete.

An well traveled persons perspective on Sunriver

Recently renovated in most of the house which is nice. Kids really loved the hot tub and enclosed deck. Was very nice we were able to bring our dog too (who is extremely well behaved and far less damaging to a property than some human guests) and Bennington Properties had a great attention to detail for dog lovers and in general. Spiral stair case was fun for a day ... but then was kind of a hassle (definitely not a good house for people with really little kids because of the spiral staircase). Carpet upstairs is old and dingy. Nice to have all of the bikes though they are in need of a little oil and tuning. The bathroom on the first floor next to the kitchen is very dark and still needs some renovating. Paint in there is really weird and ugly. Pools at SR are not fun at all. Much too crowded. Can see why they are building the new complex with additional pools. It will be interesting to see how it changes the head count at the pools with the additional ones opening next May. As it stands now until the other pools are completed, the lack of an enjoyable place to swim definitely makes us re-think coming back to SR especially considering the cost to rent at SR. There are many other places to vacation and get much more for the money, and places with a more flexible policy should you need to cancel or make a reservation change. We did love access to the river (very fun for canoeing, etc) and all of the trails for biking, and that this property had so many bikes (only adult size). Was very fun to bike as a family. Restaurant by the marina was really good. Would use Bennington Properties again too.

We did a hard hat tour of the new Aquatic Center yesterday. It is HUGE - 22 acres. You definitely will not feel crowded there. It will have a waterpark type atmosphere. There will be nothing in the state of Oregon like it.

I thought the property management company was great to deal with. I was very happy that our dogs were treated like part of the family and aloud to walk with us unleashed. The house was fantastic. I did feel that it was a bit on the expensive side. It would have been nice if we could have stayed longer. We are going to invite friends and family to come with us on our next visit. From the moment we selected bennington properties they have been gracious, helpful and really attentive to questions and providing the best vacation experience possible. That did not stop once we paid our full amount and arrive! They offered pre-arrival help, check-in was awesome we could just show up and start vacation. Amenities were good and with a little better weather we would have enjoyed them immensely. Even when the power went out, they had someone out and the power was up within maybe a 1/2 hour if that. The doggie treats were a nice touch and we felt as a family (furry friends and all) that we were all welcome. Even upon leaving it was simple and easy. Once returning home, Bennington sent a thank you and offered additional amenities for next time even when not asked. I think this company (and their homes) know what it is to provide customer services which for me is key in selecting any service especially a vacation getaway with my family. We are definitely looking at returning and already are sharing the news and looking at a family reunion there!
One recommendation...maybe a little more material about the area, attractions, how to get there, etc. My husband grew up in the area and we have family there so it wasn't an issue for us but me being someone who didn't grow up here I could see if I didn't have my Husband there, it would have been really hard to know what I was missing and I'd miss out on a lot of amazing things to do in your area!

Just finished a 3 day weekend at 1 Pine Mountain in Sun River and had a great time. Bennington Properties did a fantastic job preparing for our weekend. We took advantage of their winter special for lodging, plus the kids played at Mt Bachelor for free! The DVD selection at their office was impressive and we checked out 4 movies at no charge. The house was ready for us when we arrived at 2:00 pm.
The beautiful property was clean and nicely updated. I really love the high ceilings and cabin decor. The furnishings are comfortable plus lots of windows for natural light. There are plenty of books and games around the house and a large flat screen television in the living room plus a TV in each of the bedroom areas. We also appreciated the free wi-fi access.
The layout works great for our party: two couples downstairs and the children slept in the loft. The spiral staircase saves space and is charming, however I wouldn't encourage little children or anyone with mobility issues to climb up or down.
Both master bedrooms have a slider to the enclosed patio. One of the bedrooms was behind the kitchen area and hosted the washer and dryer, while the other was near the foyer and had a big walk in closet. That bedroom also has a private bath and gas fireplace that we could not seem to properly operate, so it was a little chilly at night. The remainder of the house operated on central forced air, or in the evenings, we heated with the wood burning fireplace. We found extra blankets and pillows in the master closet.
The kitchen has updated appliances and plenty of provisions including cookware and spices. This is a small kitchen, and we bumped into each other while preparing meals. I would not rent this house for an extended holiday stay where I might expect to cook for more than 6 people however it was adequate for the time we were there. There are three bathrooms in the house, each with nice fixtures and plenty of towels. Hand/bath soap, dish washing and laundry detergent were provided.
The enclosed deck was spacious and private. Although a bit cozy for four adults, the hot tub was a lovely refuge in the winter. For the warmer months, the patio included table with umbrella and chairs, a hammock, bbq and access to the yard. There are at least 6 bicycles in the storage area in nice condition.
Overall the property was a fantastic winter weekend getaway! -

The house was very clean and had modern updates in the bathroom. The decorations were very logde like. It was spacious enough for the 3 of us and in a great area close to a nice bike path. The enclosed back deck was nice to have for our dog. We will definitely stay here again.

Our family of 4 had an awesome time staying here. The house was very clean, comfortable, well furnished and pet friendly. The 3 bedrooms and 3 baths were perfect for us. Our teenage son got the loft and daughter the 2nd bedroom. They loved having their own bathrooms. We really loved the enclosed deck and spent a lot of time out there. It was very large and private and we liked how the kitchen and both bedrooms opened to it. We ate dinner on the deck every night and enjoyed the hot tub, lounge chairs and grill. The location of the house was perfect - fairly central and close to the park. The staff at the rental office were great. We borrowed movies and used the dog wash facilities to give our dog a nice bath while we were there. We hope to visit Sunriver again soon and will definitely stay at 1 Pine Mtn.

This is the first time we have stayed in Sunriver since we have had kids and all I can say is it was awesome and relaxing. Our plans were changed due to the tragic death of my husbands brother and we had to be in Klamath Falls for two of the days that we had planned on being in Sunriver. Bennington Properties made it so much less stress full and easy to change plans at the last minute and we greatly appreciate that. The house was amazing with plenty of comfortable beds and we really loved the private deck with the hot tub. There was plenty of cool bikes and a perfect distance to Fort Rock Park. Also we are thankful for welcoming our dog to the property like you did, he was so happy to be with the family rather than kenneled back at home. Thanks again and we will be back for sure, the kids are already planning the next trip.

As always the service from Bennington was great. However, this house was not. We usually stay in another house, we chose this one because of the enclosed deck. The deck was nice, the beds were nice, but thats about it. The hot tub was a big disappointment. It was more like a large bath tub. There is no counter space nor cabinet space for food. It is not a well stocked house. Make sure you bring coffee filters (previous houses have used the mesh reusable filters). The utensils were terrible, the can opener is worse than the one we use for camping. I was really excited about the beautiful slate shower. It too was a disappointment. The water pressure was WAY too much and it could not be adjusted. I don't think I would stay in the house again. In the summer it might be better.

The house overall was very nice. It did however, have a lot of dog hair from the previous tenant. Since we are fans of the park, the location is great for us. There's not much room for food storage in this home but it has great appliances. We love the comfort of the beds and the spacious layout of the house.

The house was beautiful, nicely stocked with kitchen equipment and all of our interactions with Bennington staff was pleasant.
A few things would have improved our stay though:
1) The bikes at the house were in very poor condition - all needed air in the tires but no pump was provided, there was only 1 helmet, 2 of the bikes had loose enough handles that they were not in riding condition.
2) Including house and Sunriver information all in one location in a guest book of sorts would be helpful. This could include a page about the wireless connection and what the password is. It was annoying to have to call the office when that could have been provided at the house. Wireless internet code is listed on the confirmation as well as a sign in the home. We provide a guest book in each of our homes listing most of the amenities in Sunriver and throughout Central Oregon. We check the bikes for air and safety prior to a guests arrival. These bikes had small holes in their tires that released the air out over a 24 hour period. We do NOT provide helments, please remember to bring your own.

While I've stayed at different Bennington Properties in Sunriver, this was my first time at Pine Mountain. It was my Mom and Sister's first time ever at Sunriver and I was hoping the house and surroundings would make them believers!!! It worked and we're going to make his an annual event!
We all fell in love with this wonderful cabin-feel home! Great amenities - loved that each bdr has its own bath. Fully equipped kitchen - open, airy feel to the main living space - fun decorative style and so comfortable. The sliding doors from each room out to the patio space was great. Loved the enclosed patio area - - so did our 4-legged traveling companion. We bbq'd, used the hot tub, soaked in some sun on the deck.
Nice, quiet neighborhood with lots of forest-feel around. Had a family of 8 deer that hung around the house some every day. Squirrels and birds playing in the trees. Just the perfect get-away.

I've been a regular at Sunriver for many years now, and Bennington Properties is the only Rental Company that I feel comfortable with when I book a home. Every time I visit I try to stay in a different home to experience different type of settings. In April, we had a GIRLS get away, we wanted to get away from the city and relax in a nice peaceful setting with a cozy cabin feel. I planned the trip and booked the home, when we drove up to the street the girls in the car noticed the house right away, I told them... "Thats our house". None of them believed me because it was too nice and perfect for the price we payed. It was a first Sunriver Trip for two the guests with us and they loved the home! Its perfect for families, and romantic getaways with a special someone :) I'm planning on coming back to this house with my "Someone" for sure!

Great place with a wonderful private deck. The hot tub is small for more than 2 people and there is not a lot of comfortable seating in the living room, but other than that the house was nice and clean and in a quiet setting

We had the best time in Sunriver!!! We didn't get to the
pool until the last day, because we thought it was too
busy, but once we got in we found there was plenty of
room. The home was great, it had everything we needed.
The deck is a bit noisy to say the least, but its a nice size
and completely enclosed for the kids. The location of this
home is also great for the little ones because it is so
close to the Fort Rock Park. We had a great time and plan
to return next summer!!!

Our family had a wonderful time in Sunriver. The house was absolutely beautiful and had more than enough supplies and amenities to satisfy our needs. Bennington Properties even supplied us with a pack n play and a high chair.
We would like to recommend that when the property boasts bikes for adults that the bikes are in better condition. The traditional "Sunriver" bike that comes with most homes is not a comfortable ride for even the most fit adult. The bikes at our house were not fit even to ride into the village which was a real disappointment. Had we known this, we would have brought our own. -

This is by far the BEST house to stay in during your Sunriver vacation. The interior is beautiful and roomy. The open floor plan makes it easy for everyone to visit/hangout together. And the back deck is HUGE and completely private with a great hot tub and a grill for BBQs.
The location is great because it is within walking distance to the local park. There are bikes for riding on the many miles of bike paths. It's close to shopping and swimming. We never ran out of things to do. When we go back to Sunriver, we will be requesting this property again.....and again. -

The property was exactly what was advertised. Plenty of bikes, nice hot tub, and privacy. We had an issue with the upstairs bathroom leaking. The property managers quickly responded to the issue but also gave us the option of having it taken care of after our stay. I plan on using Bennington Properties again.

We enjoyed 1 Pine Mountain so much in 2007 it was an easy decision to rebook it again in 2008. We did refer our friends to the house over Spring Break 2008 but they found it a bit too small for their family of 5. We really liked the decor. After viewing picture after picture of the houses available they were all bland. White walls, old furniture. It was as though some owners really didn't want make their homes cozy or give them a welcoming personality. 1 Pine Mountain popped when we saw all of the wonderfully detailed pictures. The owners seemed to care about the atmosphere their renters were experiencing.

This home was absolutely perfect. Gorgeous inside and out. Everything I needed was there. So I was able to spend a nice quiet weekend with my dogs, one of which had cancer and passed away a week after we returned home. It was a very special weekend in a perfect, cozy house and I am very thankful for the experience. I will definitely rent this home again.

Our little family had the best time. This was the perfect house for the four of us and we have since decided to make an annual event out of it. The only negative was that the deck wasn't swept after the previous guest and we were left with someone's haircut remnants.
