Vancouver, WAAmazing Time
Left on 03/29/2013 for a stay in September 2012
My wife and I just needed a couple of days to enjoy life and recharge. This was the perfect setting and time. We caught the last few days of the shark center and the rest of the resort and missed the larger Sunriver crowds but still had great weather. Dear came and laid down 10 feet from our breakfast table at this house. We had everything we needed and the place was plenty clean. The location within Sunriver was great. It was perfect for us.

We had a wonderful time here and will be staying here again in the future. Big open floor plan and all on one level so it was great for us and our two small children. Plus it had the privacy we wanted.

We loved everything about this home- the location, open floor plan, plenty of seating, ping pong table, hot tub, bikes, walk to golf and the big sunny deck. We actually had a bit of rain, so Mavericks was a huge plus! We will definitely choose this home again if back in Sunriver.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in Sunriver, much in part due to this wonderful cabin. Deer came up to the deck which amused the children (and adults!) and the rooms were spacious enough for family gathering. The location was convenient and we would stay here again.

Thank You. We love this home too. We will look forward to seeing you again. Warm Regards, Village Properties

the deck is dangerous and needs to be replaced. nail heads sticking up, boards loose, dry rot, and splinters galore if you go barefoot (around the jaquizzi too). the house is comfortable although the furnace fan doesn't work unless the heat is turned on and there is no ceiling fan. in july it gets really hot and the portable fans just don't cool it off. other than that it has a great layout and the ping pong table is a real plus. bikes are marginal so bring your own.

Your review if very much appreciated We have let the owners know of the issues with the deck, and our maintenance crew is looking into the furnace fan, hopefully we will have this remedied soon. Thank you for choosing to stay with Village Properties.

We had a wonderful time. The check-in people were great, letting us get to see the Maverick Center before check in time since we were early.
The house was just the right size for our party and we really enjoyed the hot tub and the fireplace. It was very comfortable with the great room and the open view to the kitchen and dining area. It was doubly nice to have some games and puzzles in the closet.
We liked the location, once we found it, as it was close to the Maverick Center and the other store. Great for walks along the golf course also. I can't say that there was anything that we didn't enjoy. We'd love to come back to the home- maybe in the summer to enjoy the outdoor activities even more. Thanks for a great time!! -

Corvallis, OregonIdeal adult vacation home in beautiful Sunriver
Left on 09/03/2009 for a stay in August 2009
Our family has retented 12 Big Leaf Lane several times over the past four years because we enjoy the Sunriver area and spoecifically because the home is the right size and has all the amenities you want for a relaxing vacation.
The one negative is that we were charged an $89.60 recreational fee which gace us access to swimming pools and Maverick Center neither of which we were at all interested in and didn't use. It would be more appealing if renters were given the option as to whether use of the named facilities was important to them, and thus be charged or not charged the fee.

I have used Village Properties in the past and I have been very happy with the rental, but this year we did not have a positive experience.
When we arrived at the house, it appeared that it had not been cleaned at all. Here is what we found:
- Hair in the drains
- Cigarette butts on the porch
- Cigarette ashes around the back deck tables
- Cigarette butts on the ping-pong table
- Ping-pong table in disarray
- Cooked food on the BBQ - it had not even been scraped
- DVD Player did not work
- Nasal Mucous on the wall of the master bedroom
I don't understand how the previous renter could have been charged for cleaning, because the house was obviously not cleaned. We paid a significant amount to rent this home ($235/night) and I feel strongly that we did not receive a valued service. I will certainly think first before using a Village Properties rental in the future.

Boise, IDVery good home, great location
Left on 01/07/2009 for a stay in October 2008
Stayed at this home in Oct 2008. The home is in a great location -- very close to Woodlands #8 green / #9 tee. Also a very short walk to #1 green / #2 tee. The furnishings are a bit dated (e.g. master mattress was not the most comfortable, some of the kitchen appliances are older). However, everything works just fine. Compared to other homes in this price range, this was a larger home, easily accommodating two families -- 4 adults, 3 children. (Youngest had to sleep on the floor in a sleeping bag, but 3-year olds don't mind.) When we rented, the home came with Maverick's admission included -- which was a key selling point. It's a very short drive to Maverick's and to the market on the northern (?) end of Sunriver. Without free Maverick's, I would drop my rating from 5- to 4-stars. That really made the difference in terms of entertaining the kids and letting us adults enjoy a couple of workouts. All-in-all, the home itself was a solid 4-star experience, but the convenient location to golf, Maverick's, and the market give the home a full 5-star rating.

Big Leaf 12 is a very nice house, with the Mavericks package there was plenty to do even when it was 7degrees outside. The fireplace worked great even though you don't need to use it, it is a nice change to wake up and start a fire and listen to it crackle. Plenty of fire wood. The hot tub is in great shape and stayed plenty warm while we used it every day. All in all a very nice stay with no problems and plenty of room for 3 families.
