Description from the manager
Spacious living area and just a short walk to the river are two of the wonderful features of this home. The back deck overlooks nice common area with plenty of room for enjoying a BBQ. The living room boasts high ceilings, a lava rock fireplace with woodstove insert, and large, wall-mounted, flat screen TV for those cozy, chilly nights. The expansive loft area, with it's own bathroom, offers space for the kids to play games, watch movies, or just lounge around. Relax in the sauna or in the outdoor hot tub after a long day of skiing. A great place to enjoy your family fun!

PortlandRelaxing, comfortable stay
Left on 05/29/2013 for a stay in May 2013
The home was completely ready. Housekeeping did an excellent job of making us feel welcome, even folding the towels as if we were on a cruise! We were pleasantly surprised to find a sauna built into the main bathroom. My wife used it every day. We were happy to find the bicycles in good condition as well.
The special pricing of pay for 2 and get 4 nights made it worthwhile. The fees at Sunriver have become far too high, so without the special, we would not have stayed. -

Left on 01/13/2013 for a stay in January 2013
The home decor/furnishings are a bit dated but we had everything we needed. It was also nice to have a space in the garage for the car. The home was plenty big for the four of us. We have two young children (4 and 2 years old) so we didn't utilize the loft as much as a family with older kids might but it was nice to have a place for the kids to watch movies. The only problem was that the loft was quite cold. Overall, we would stay here again and would recommend it to friends.

The only negative thing I can possibly think of is if there was a larger group coming to this particular location, there are only 2 bathrooms, so that could become an issue. But for the 4 of us, the 2 bathrooms was just fine.
We so enjoyed this lovely home.Response from Village Properties - 09/02/2010

We loved this house. Great upstairs room with nice big bathroom and living/sleeping room. Great hot tub right out the down stairs sliding glass doors. The beds are very comfortable, and excellent for a good nights sleep. We enjoyed being so close to the river and bike trails. Very awesome vacation. It was very hard to leave. Thank you very much, we look forward to returning. We would definatly stay here again.

Loon 23 is a terrific vacation house - it has a sauna, hot tub, bikes, big screen TV and it's near the river. Nice accomodations - very comfortable, clean and a very nice kitchen. We rode bikes (a lot), grilled, relaxed on the deck - it was just what the doctor ordered. To top it off, a doe and her fawn kept us company for the three days we were there. Highly recommend this house.

Great Stay
Albany, ORVery relaxing.
Left on 06/09/2010 for a stay in June 2010
The house had everything to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. The hot tub and sauna worked wonderfully and the short walk to the river was the best. Everything was great the only complaint I can pass on is that the kitchen seemed a little too dark for me and could possibly use some better lighting. Thanks for a great stay!

We like to go to Sunriver to relax. Park the car and leave it! This home was near the river for some great walks, my son wanted to fish, there was a spot along the river very close and the marina was only 2 miles away via the path, close enough for a 4 year old to ride his bike to.
The home was better than the pictures depict and the master bedroom had a very comfortable mattress. Everything worked great, kitchen is very new and nice, didn't notice the sauna in house description, so that was a nice surprise! -

Gardena, CAgreat with a touch of bad
Left on 03/18/2010 for a stay in March 2010
The house is modern, clean, and very roomy. For the cost, I'd say it was a
great bargain. But, our first evening and night went without heat. I'd say
the inside of the house was in the 50's, the outside in the 20's. The next
morning, the rental office (Sharleen) showed great concern and was
apologetic, which was nice. They worked hard to get us a repairman and
got us some space heaters in case it happened again. They also mentioned
that this heater problem may have happened in the past. Later the second
day, we were told that we had to cycle the circuit breaker to get the heater
working again if it went out again.
Over the 5 nights we spent there, we had the heater stop working 2 more
times. Each time we were able to get it working again, but one time we had
to fiddle with the circuit breaker for at least 1/2 hour. The last time, we
started using one of the spare space heaters that were brought to us after
the 1st night. We did not expect this heater to trip the living room circuit
breaker, along with all the living room lights. A dark house, without a
flashlight, and at first not knowing what happened, was inconvenient. Good
thing for cell phones that give off some light.
Upon checking out, Sharleen was not present, and the staff at the office at
that time did not seem concerned that we had a heating problem. We told
them what happened, and no one seemed to write anything down or even
say sorry. That was disappointing to think that they might just rent out the
unit again to the next unsuspecting renter who will have similar problems.
Other than the heating, I have to say, the house was pretty good. Beds were
ok, bathrooms worked well, nice garage, hot tub was well kept and clean,
flat screen was large. Neighborhood was quiet and clean. Really need GPS
as there are no straight streets, every street curves and wraps around.
Stores close way too early (5-6pm) to get any serious shopping done.
Worst: house heating. Best: rental priceResponse from Village Properties - 09/02/2010

We are very sorry for the inconvenience with the heater in the home. The heater has been fixed and is good working order. I am sure the reason our staff did not write anything down was because it was already in our system for maintenance to take care of. Once again we apologize for the heating issue in the home and hope that you were still able to have a wonderful vacation. We hope that you will consider staying with Village Properties again.

Clean and simple. Good value for the accommodations. Enough room for our family of five. The upper loft area was great for the teenagers to have their own space. Plan on staying again this summer.

Tualatin, OregonGreat Stay, Very Nice Place
Left on 09/13/2009 for a stay in August 2009
We go to Sunriver every year and this was the first time we've used Village Properties. The staff was very friendly.
The home, 23 Loon Lane, is probably our favorite among the various homes we've stayed at so far. The location is near the river and a pedestrian bridge crossing over it. We enjoyed walking around and exploring as we hadn't really explored that part of Sunriver before. The home has all of the amenities, including wireless internet which was a necessity for me personally. The loft contains it's own living area with TV, 3 beds and a large bathroom. I think two small families could fit fairly comfortably in this home. In addition to the roominess, we liked the high ceilings and the overall design.
We really enjoyed vacationing in Sunriver this year and the home was one big reason for that. Our only complaint is that our stay was too short! -

CAA Great Place To Stay
Left on 08/12/2009 for a stay in August 2009
This was a very comfortable place to stay. Very relaxing and felt like home. The only complaint (which is fairly minor) was that it was very hot at night and there is no air conditioning. We just aren't used to that. There were a couple of fans but it still was pretty warm for us. Other than that it was very nice.
