Backwoods #7 is a 6 bedroom/3 bath vacation perfect Sunriver home that can accommodate up to 18 guests and a beloved dog. The living room offers a gas fireplace and a comfy sofa to gather with family and friends. The fully stocked kitchen overlooks the dining area. The family room also has a gas fireplace, foosball table and a set of bunk beds…great place for the kids! Relax in the private hot tub or grab bikes and ride the resort’s 38 miles of paved bike paths!

The house was old but in fairly good shape. The problem was the smell. It smelled horrible, a really stong chemical smell, like some sort of carpet cleaner they had used to clean the place. We complained and were told the only thing that Sunset would do was to waive the cleaning deposit and give us some air freshener. This was a $500/night house by the way. I would never use Sunset again.

This is the worst vacation rental we have ever stayed in. We had to call maintenance 3 times within the first day. After that we gave up, it was Christmas and we didn't want maintenance spending the holiday with us. The maintenance man was very efficient and polite!
The basement has beds for at least 8 but there is no bathroom! The garage leaked water all over our stuff, the garage door opener doesn't work, the tv's are outdated and don't function all that well. The linens are crappy, the list goes on. This house backs up to the main road into SunRiver so you hear traffic all night. Yes, it's close to the mall but certainly not worth the trade off.Response from Sunset Lodging in Sunriver - 01/31/2012

Thank you for taking the time to let us know of your experience while staying in Backwoods Lane #7. This vacation home is popular due to its size, layout and location. The lower level with 4 bedrooms and a family room (not basement) offers a bathroom. If you are unable to locate the 3rd bathroom, our staff would have been glad to show you. Also, we check the batteries in all electronics like the garage door opener regularly. If additional batteries or assistance with various electronics are needed, we encourage guests to contact our office. Linens provided in the vacation homes are quality, clean linens comparable to all vacation homes in Sunriver. At time of booking we ask guests if they would like to be near the Village Mall, Fort Rock Park or the North End of the resort and reserve accordingly. We hope to accommodate you soon with a vacation home that fit your needs.
