      Great place for a crowd

Left on 10/12/2012 for a stay in September 2012

We were very pleased with Sunset Lodging and the service we received. They were prompt and polite with any of our requests. Our biggest issue was that we checked in after hours and we could'nt find the place. Apparently they had moved and it took us a while to find their new locations.

The house was a great place for a family/friend. All of the bedrooms centered around the great room and the kitchen was open to the downstairs. The hot tub and deck were great. Our only issues with the house were the awkward accordian doors on the bedrooms and I think every single one of us had bruises on our shins from running into the awkwardly placed hearth.

The location was okay. Thank God we had a GPS to get us there because it was day three before any of us felt like we could find our way back on our own. It was close to Fort Rock Park and fairly close to Sharc and the Village.

Loved having access to Sharc. That was the highlight of the trip for the kids. Overall a good experience.

      Disappointing Sunriver vacation

Left on 08/17/2011 for a stay in July 2011

My family travels to Sunriver every year and this year was toward the bottom of the list of overall experience. The house in general was nice and for being on the smaller side. It was listed at accommodating a lot of people, but 10 people in approx 1500 square feet is tight. Parking was tight as well. The overall layout was nice, had a great use of space and it had a great deck. A few areas I did not like were:
      1. The doors on some of the rooms were accordion closet doors, a littlw awkward.
      2. Upon arrival the house was very dusty. The service tag left in the kitchen had the last cleaning 3 weeks prior, I would have hoped if there was that much vacancy between stays that there would have been a light cleaning/dusting prior to our arrival. I ended up having to dust a little and clean up some dead bugs which is not what I wanted to do on vacation...
More disruptive to my visit was construction and the pool pass. Outside of our door and down the driveway they were doing some construction. Every morning (stayed 7 nights) I was awaken by a ditch digger right outside the home. It was also difficult to get down the narrow driveway. I called the rental agency and they did not seem to care much. They said they do not always get notified and or track the construction going on. I was disappointed in this response. They also have a new pool pass card vs. the tickets used previously. There is only one card (for 10 people) so you have to coordinate your visits to the pool or other activities like tennis. Your family cannot be in two places at once. The pool pass cards are like debit cards so when you go to the pool the debit card is charged, twice going to the pool there was not enough money to get in. The first time my children paid cash for the insufficient funds and had nt way to get reimbursed as you had the receipt over to the pool check-in person. The second time we called and it took around 30 mins for the rental agency to run over a new card.

      plenty of beds

Left on 02/03/2009 for a stay in August 2008

We needed a roomy house for lots of family and had plenty of beds for all. Two bathrooms wasn't quite enough when one was accessed only through two of the upstairs bedrooms. We loved the deck, though, with it's up-close with nature feel.
