Had a fantastic time at this house. The lay out is wide open to handle two or three families. Never felt crowded.
The kids loved the bunk room where they can all sleep in the same room. Also the parents had their own rooms with a bathroom attached to each bedroom.
Hot tub was big and blast too.
The location is great. Close to the north store. Also its only a 10 min or so bike ride to the mall area. Had tons of fun riding bikes to Goody's for ice cream.
Will definitely rent this house again -

House was great with a few exceptions. Had to ask for ping pong balls twice as there were only two broken balls when we arrived.
Hot tub was barely hot - I would say it was in the 99 degree range - not very hot for a hot tub with no way to turn it up.
Sunriver needs more pools. We were only able to use the north and south pool with this house rental. There were so many people at both pools that we could not find a place to sit, the water was murky, and the pool was overcrowded. The kids did not want to swim for long which is unusual since whenever there is a pool on vacation, that is where you find our kids.
The mosquitos were also terrible. We could not even sit outside after dark without being bitten. The stores were out of mosquiot repellant for two nights which tells you how big the problem is. They need to spray or do something to at least try to control the problem.
For these two reasons we are reluctant to go back to Sunriver anytime soon. We love the bike paths but the lack of decent pools and the major mosquito problem is enough for us to stay away for awhile.Response from Sunset Lodging in Sunriver - 01/31/2012

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your stay in Rocky Mountain #1 and Sunriver. The private hot tubs in each vacation home are set at a safe temperature. We encourage guests to contact the hot tub company or our office to resolve any hot tub issues. Also, Summer 2012 Sunriver's Newest Aquatic Attraction will be open! The SHARC Aquatic Facility!
Outdoor Pools:
- Total water area is larger than the current South and North Pool combined
- Tot pool with adjacent sand play area - Patio water bubblers
- Large main pool with recreation, lap swimming and challenging water crossing areas
- Slide tower with two exciting water slides
- Satellite rest rooms adjacent to slide tower with exterior rinsing showers
- Lazy river water feature (gentle current moves tube riders around island)
- 15 person outdoor adult hot tub adjacent to indoor pool (open year round)
- Large pool deck and grass areas for sunbathing and lounging
Also, we are not able to prevent mosquitos from visiting Sunriver. This resort is an an outdoor mecca full of reacreation activities...that is why Sunriver is a popular vacation spot in Oregon.

Easy reservations, quick and friendly check-in. The home was great for our group of eight tennis players. It was centrally located to the tennis facilities and the market on the north end. The kitchen was well equipped. Lots of extra towels. Home sleeps a wide variety of people. We were mildly disappointed that the ping pong table was broken and could not be used. There are no bicycles available at this rental.

We were very comfortable in this home but found a few things lacking that would have given this a four star review.
This was our 7th year staying in Sunriver, most years in ReMax Sunset Realty homes. This was the first year we were disappointed to find no bikes in the home. To be fair, the listing doesn't include bikes, but it never occurred to me to ask since every home we've ever stayed in has plenty for the family to use. I'll never make that mistake again (after $160 bike rental bill).
The kitchen was very poorly stocked. We had to go buy a corkscrew and a decent paring knife to get through the week. Hosting a large dinner with friends, I had a tough time finding enough serving platters. There are plenty of plates, forks, etc. however. Bring your own games as everyone we tried was missing multiple pieces. No DVDs or reading material stocked either, so bring your latest Netflix arrivals or library loans if you are looking for some couch time.
I called the office to get the Propane refilled and to have a broom delivered for kitchen sweeping (I forgot to ask for a dustpan, though). They were very prompt upon my request and pleasant to deal with. In fact, they even gladly received a fax I needed for a Rx refill.
The ping pong table was a bonus and provided for enjoyment by many. Good location (you can barely hear the train nearby) for North area. Easy walking access to the North store and Mavericks. GREAT hot tub-- one of the largest I've seen.
The beds were fairly comfortable as was the living room furniture and dining table. Strong wi-fi connection. A friend staying at a different house frequently came over to our place because his wireless signal was too low.Response from Sunset Lodging in Sunriver - 08/22/2012

Bikes are not included in this home and we encouraging guests to rent from local bike shops with an exclusive discount so that they are able to ride bikes specific to their needs, like a children's bike, a women's cruiser bike etc. Also, if extra kitchen tools are needed, we encourage guests to call our front desk and we will deliver. Each family/group have different needs and Sunset Lodging is equipped with extra corkscrews, knives etc when needed.
Last, but not least, there is a new Ping Pong Table in the home for guests!
