This home features a great in ground pool with lots of room around the pool for having fun! There is a large 6+ person hot tub on the first floor oceanfront deck. The home has six large bedrooms and six bathrooms! The master suite features a Jacuzzi tub for your enjoyment! The kitchen features gorgeous granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. This is a very comfortable and well-furnished home. Has everything you need for all generations: pool, movie room, and game room for the younger ones plus pool, elevator, and shaded porch for older folks. Plenty of room to spread out and not be on top of each other. Outdoor furniture needs some updating and repairs plus more is needed for seating and meals outside. We rated the check-in process poor since you had to drive to Sneed's Ferry to check in at the rental company and sign a bunch of forms that could have been handled electronically. Many vacation rentals send you an access code for the premises to avoid all of this, but that was not the case here. We would rent again, but this process was very inconvenient.

Thanks for your candid review. I am glad that you all enjoyed your stay in this awesome home. I will share your feedback about the outdoor furniture with the owner. I am sorry for the inconvenience with the check-in. Right now, our operation system does not allow us to handle some things electronically, so they must be done in person. We are looking into the Kaba lock system that you referenced, but none of the companies on Topsail are currently using this system, so it would be very expensive for us. We are considering it though, and we are always working with our software company to try to expedite our check-in procedures as much as possible as well. We loved everything about this house. Right on the beach. Great bedrooms, well stocked and spacious kitchen, great set up with 2 seating areas/Tv's, fantastic pool (albeit smaller than picture suggests), gas grill, hot tub etc etc etc. Also remarkably quiet -- people were sitting outside our bedroom on one of the porches and we could not even hear them. Very clean when we arrived. Sounds crazy, but great plus to have enough garbage cans -- many homes do not! Hopefully we'll be back next year. Slight negative in having to drive 25 minutes for check in and check out. And of course realtors have not found a way to expedite this, but that's not the home's issue...

This property was absolutely famtastic. The home was very comfortable for the 20 of us. We found the location to be secluded and we enjoyed much private time on the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This was a wonderful house! It was well-equipped. From the moment I stepped in the door, I was impressed. It was much cleaner than most of the rentals I've stayed in before (we've stayed at Topsail about 10 times). The bedrooms were spacious and the bathrooms modern and up-to-date. The second living area was a wonderful relaxation spot. The hot tub was a nice addition in the evenings. The device to help remove the cover was excellent. The pool, though not very large, was just right. It was kept clean and the grounds were neat. My only two complaints were that we did encounter an unwelcomed guest under the kitchen sink, and some of the bathtubs (one in particular) drained very, very slowly. I am sure sand/rocks get into the tubs and clog the drain, but these should be cleaned out when it gets to this point. Based on how great the house was, overall, I still gave it 5 starts! I would stay here again!

Most of the homes on the island are treated regularly to keep pests out, but on occasion a critter may find a way in. Please let us know if we need to send an exterminator out for an extra treatment. I am sorry that some of the bathtubs were not draining well; had you notified us about that, we would have been glad to take care of it for you during your stay.

Outstanding Family Vacation

Our three daughters' son-in-law and three grandchildren stayed at 1614 S. Shore Dr., Top Sail Islande the first week of June 2012. Even though we had three days of clouds and/or rain, and cooler than expected temperatures, we all had a blast fun and relaxation, even without the sun! What a great vacation home. Plenty of room for everyone and how we love the pool and hot tub.

The house was well kept with everything we(2 families,ages ranged from 4-50) needed. Btw the beach,pool and location of home there was plenty for all to do. Relaxation was the main goal of all though.When the adults needed time from the teenagers the house was big enough for a "getaway". Check in/out painless..

We never left the beach house except for groceries, however, my son and son in law did get in a couple of games of golf.
