Rating of the 3 bedroom apartment - Average, Rating of the Q1 facilities - Great. Our main disappointed was to find that the 3 bedroom apartment we paid for did not include the Winter balcony as the advertised floor plan, our apartment was a two bedroom with winter balcony converted to 3 bedroom! The dishwasher was not working and we were not given dishwashing liquid, so no facility to wash dishes and there were no spare bin liners for any of the bins. Overall a lovely apartment just frustrating.

Here in Q1 Resort there are several typologies of 3 Bedroom apartments and bed dispositions, these vary according to size and height; each one of the 3 bedroom apartments is equipped with 2 D/washers; At Q1 Holidays Gold Coast we were aware of one of the D/Washer was not working. Nancy you were provided with a lovely self contained and un-serviced apartment; a starter package "Washing Machine Detergent, toiletry Items, Plastic Bags, Coffe, Tea and Sugar is provided, the replacement of those items are at your own discretion. Adjacent to the Q1 Main entrance there is the Q1 Convenience Store were all those items can be easily fund. Nancy I am happy to learn that despite those little things your experience in Surfers Paradise with Q1 Holidays Gold Coast was a remarkable one. Looking forward to welcoming you next time. The experience was great, the only fault I had when I purchased the combine package stay with bonus dinner for two and massage for two there was no information on the restaurant it was only when we arrived to the room that we found out the restaurant name and number which was down stairs only to find out that not only did you need to book a table for the "special" dinner they were not open Sunday and Monday nights aswell... We were never told any of this when booking the trip which was for Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights!!! So be aware of this and here is the phone number just incase you get stuck the same way we did.

We are a family of 6 and had 10 nights at the Q1 .We all had the most wonderfull time as it is so central to everything .Your family will never get bored there . Also found the rooms very quiet , spacious ,light and clean which was great .Our stay is one to remember .Thanks again for a great holiday.

I have just returned home from a seven day stay in sub penthouse 6604.I was extremely disappointed with my stay in this apartment. My family consisted of 5 adults and 2 children aged 6 & 10.
This apartment was revolting to say the least.To be listed a 4 1/2 star property is false advertising.The following is a list of complaints relating to apartment 6604.
Decoration on the walls and ceilings were disgusting and totally inappropriate
The furniture just plain horrible.
The lounge suits had sagging seats and no stitching holding the leather together
The apartment was dirty, with the bathrooms not cleaned properly, it appears all the floors had not been mopped.
The bed in the master bedroom,sagged in the middle and was absolutely terrible to sleep in.
The 3 single beds requested where not there and trundle beds were sent in replacement, of which one of these broke.
The blind on the bathroom window did not work
My partner was 'zapped' by the light switch attached to the column in the main lounge
Could figure out how to use the TV in the main lounge
The main lounge was totally uninviting
The sink disposal unit did not work, and water sat in this sink the whole time we were there
The ice machine on the freezer did not work properly
We could not use the balcony area, because we had a 6 year old with us and kept that door locked
We could not sleep because the blinds were banging against the walls
The drier lint collector kept falling off when in use,and dust was spread everywhere
The indoor pool was not heated
The mid week cleaning I had paid $210 for, was overlooked by staff.
I have contacted management who inform me that luxury in fact means 'space and views'. I'd rather have a comfortable bed and nice lounge to sit on. I have been told also that I should have reported the problems. My argument is that it is up to staff to take note of issues, and if furniture is not adequate, do not rent the apartment until it is replaced.

My wife and I recently stayed in a one bedroom apartment at the Q1 complex and had a great time, from the friendly check-in right through to departure. The facilities within the complex were superb and the apartment was clean and tidy with very nice furnishings. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again and certainly will.

Although we had a very late arrival this was no problem as it often is in Surfers. Keys for the apartment and parking were left for us'
We dealt mainly with 'Lisa' who was a great help in many wany ways and was always happy to help with information and advice.
The apartment was spotlessly clean and the size was very impressive. All the kitchen equipment we needed was supplied and ample refridgeration also. It was a real plus having a fully equipped laundry in tghe apartment.
Over many years we've stayed at a lot of aprtments in Surfers but this was by far the best. Very handy to restaurants and shops and it really flet like our home away from home. We'll always go back to Q1 now.Response from Danilo SPAGNUOLO - 02/27/2013

Despite the initial hiccup of having to wait 30 minutes for someone to take us up to our room, the lady who came down to see us was lovely. Big kudos to Lisa. The apartment was modern and sleek and very comfortable. The only bonuses we found when inspecting the apartment were 35 cents and a baby dummy from the previous occupants.
One thing that did bug me a little bit was that there was no jug for refrigerated water and the cold water from the tap wasn't that cold.
Some of the light switches were faulty (the main bedroom) and the power point next to the lounge attached to the bench wouldn't hold our iPhone chargers properly. The location is fantastic only a short walk to the heart of Surfers but far enough to escape the hustle and bustle.
We really enjoyed the view however it is a shame that the apartment didn't have Foxtel like to majority of hotels in Surfers Paradise.
I definately would consider staying here again however not through a coupon as booking was extremely difficult and frustrating.Response from Danilo SPAGNUOLO - 02/27/2013

We stayed at Q1 for 3 nights. It was fantastic. So close to restaurants, clubs and the beach. Our 2 bedroom apartment was nicely furnished and a full kitchen. Everything was very clean. Our views was just gorgeous. Even though it rained most of the time we could still look down on the beach below.

We were met by very friendly and efficient staff who showed us to our 1 bedroom waterfront apartment. The room was spectacular as were the views. It was clean and spacious and was a home away from home with everything at your fingertips.. It had a fully equipped kitchen and a fantastic spacious bathroom and the bed was nice and comfortable.. The location was only a couple of blocks from the main shopping complex, well within walking distance, and we visited it daily. We loved all the amenities including the pools, the gym and the spa. We booked for 3 nights but were not ready to go home after 3, so booked an extra night without any hassle. Loved the whole experience and will definately be going back. The beaches are great too..

Modern and clean 2 bedroom apartment in the heart of Broad Beach, perfect location. Although our room was very small it was very comfortable for 2 adults and 2 children. We had access to all the facilities, using the pool, spa,gym and car space. Very expensive for what we got but enjoyed our stay which was hassle free

We received excellent service, thanks heaps Lisa. The apartment was just so nice, we were very comfortable with everything we needed to enjoy a very relaxing holiday. The location of the q1 is so good it is only a short walk to the town, beaches and our favorite surf club for breakfast. We swam in the resort pools which were great because if u wanted to be in the sun one pool enabled that and the other pool was great for when u had had enough sun.

We were lucky enough to get an apartment on the 53rd floor which was absolutely beautiful, it was clean, modern and had everything we needed for the week. Our check in was efficient and effortless. If I had to winge about something it would be about the lounge - the back was too low.

It was luxurious living at an affordable price! The views from the living room and bedroom were phenomenal and one of our highlights of the apartment. The furnishing and layout were perfect for our weeks escape and we never found ourselves in need of something extra. Danilo and Lisa were absolutely lovely and helped us make our stay that much more enjoyable and relaxing.
It was a great location close to the heart of surfers and to the bus stop for transfers to and from the theme parks.

we had a very relaxing time in a great premises on Level 50. I can highly reconmend Suite 5001 for its amazing views over Surfers Paradise. The staff were all very polite and facilities clean and well maintained. The room was very well apointed and we wanted for nothing . we would definetly stay at the Q1 again should we be holidaying in Surfers.

Very close to everything you need on the Gold Coast, swimming pools & spa were fantastic, hotel coffee shop was perfect. Home theatre was comfortable and a great way to spend an evening in.

The view from the apartment is spectacular at the best of times but even more so on New Years Eve when we had the best seat in the house for the firework display in Surfers Paradise. The service was personal and friendly and the apartment was outstanding, roomy and well equipped. The location is close to the beach, shops and restaurants and the pols at the resort and laege and warm. The views are spectacular and the modern furniture make it a pleasure to stay.

Had four nights in a three bedroom apartment with 3 older teenagers. The place was great - good facilities, large, clean rooms, bright bathrooms and a view to die for. The kids enjoyed the large outdoor pool, as well as the indoor pool and gym. We all enjoyed the ability to book the cinema room to watch a DVD in comfort. I would highly recommend the accommodation. Danilo was very welcoming and everything from arrival to departure ran very smoothly.

Stayed in a three bedroom apartment on the 53rd floor - the apartment was just perfect for us. Three spacious bedrooms, a large lounge, nice facilities, two bright and clean bathrooms and views that were simply magnificent. The kids enjoyed the large outdoor pool, the indoor pool and the gym. We all made use of the private movie room which you could book and then relax and enjoy a dvd on the big screen in comfort. The air conditioning worked well and the kitchen came in very handy. A supermarket was within walking distance and Cavill ave a slightly longer walk. We hired a car but really only used it to visit a couple of the theme parks. The arrival and departure process went smoothly with Danilo making us most welcome. Only negative that I can think of was that one of the lifts was not working for some of our stay and this did mean waiting at times. Whilst the accommodation is not cheap, it was well worth the money. The kids loved the free wi-fi.

My daughter and I stayed in the 2 bedroom unit on the 54th floor during the first week of December 2011. We absolutely loved the view from the apartment and we loved all of the amenities. It was very bright and modern. The location was right in the heart of the Gold Coast Restaurants and Shopping. The water pressure in the showers were by far the strongest of any hotel or condo that we have ever stayed in. It was nice to have our own laundry machines so that we could do our wash at our convenience. Waking up to a 4:45 am sunrise was spectacular. It rained two of the four days that we stayed here so having an apartment with large open spaces made it easier for us to deal with the rainy days. We would recommend staying at the Q1 to anyone visiting the Gold Coast area. Having Lisa meet us upon check in was of great value as she showed us how everything works and told us a little bit about the area.

The apartment was fantastic! Much bigger than I anticipated, great for the whole family! The value was fantastic, it was clean, bright & modern. The only recommendation that I would suggest, and this had nothing to do with the Q1 Holidays... was that the cafe/ bar downstairs closed at 4pm most days. Would have been nice to be open a little later, but that is just being picky. The pool, facilities, the day spa was superb. We will be back for sure!

Talk about Wow factor!!! This apartment certainly had it. We were on the 49th Floor with unbelievable views all around the Gold Coast. The apartment was really comfortable and had everything. Host Lisa was very helpful. She could not do more for you to make sure you enjoy your stay. I was recommended to Q1 Holidays by a work colleague and will have no hesitation recommending other family and friends to them.

Unfortunately the apartment we had this time was no comparison to the one we stayed in the previous year, that is why I have rated lower on the Comfort and Cleanliness. The previous apartment we had was truly first class - lovely furnishings and very comfortable. Overall these units are really lovely, perfectly located with stunning views!!! Highly recommended!

Our second stay at Q1 and once again we had a fabulous stay.
Our Q1 apartment was excellent and was so close to everything to enjoy the Gold Coast. Once we had finished at Theme Parks for the day we had a great cafe's, restaurant to dine in close at hand, the pool in the complex to relax at and a great view from our room to sit and watch the world go by.

We stayed on a 50th floor two bedroom apartment with amazing views of the coast and waterways. It was just amazing to watch the whales from our balcony! Apartment was immaculate and spacious with high quality furnishings throughout. Cavill Mall/ supermarkets/ restaurants are a short walk away. Bbq, pools and kids game area were great for families. Service provided by Danilo and Lisa was second to none and we definitely would love to come back next year!

We stayed two nights in 2004 - beautiful apartment with magnificent views. Everything very modern, apart from the one and only pot which came with the apartment. The windows inside (above the slides) were very dirty, but did not detract from the view. Overall, fabulous experience being so high. The lack of a physical balcony that you could walk out onto, in my view, was probably a slight disadvantage. We like to sit outside, but that was just our own personal viewpoint. Would stay again - one day!!!

I couldnt of asked for a better birthday weekend with friends! The apartment was amazing, the view was crazy and it had everything we could of needed and more.
After all the fuss with the airlines, it was great to see how flexible and caring Q1 and Lisa were towards the group and i. We we're provided with everything we wanted and they even through in a few extras that really made the whole stay special.
If i was ever to return to queensland, i would definately go through Q1 and Lisa again. Thanks for everything it was amazing. -

We had a great time staying at the Q1 Resort.
We loved views of the beach and lakes and how high up we were and the position was fantanstic. Easy access to all amenities around the place.
However, we found the applicances we used were not very clean and needed to give them a good clean, example of this was the pots with dirty lids, house was not vaccumed in the kids bed room.
Overall a good experience

Q1 Resort and Spa was a great choice for a holiday with friends. The views were amazing- you could see beach, all the buildings and all the light flowed through making the apartment bright. The modern apartment was very spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable! There was no noise from other apartments. It was very clean and I loved the fact they had 2 dishwashers! We all enjoyed our stay and we would definitely come here again!

Our accommodation was booked over the phone by Lisa. She explained where we would be staying, the amazing low cost, payment options and set everything up for us, leaving us with only working the details on how to get up there.
When the 3 of us (my partner, daughter and myself) arrived at the Q1 not sure what to expect. We were greeted by Danilo, friendly and helpful man who showed us to our room and went into detail about everything we needed to know about where we were staying. When we got up to the room, not only were our expectations met they were surpassed no end. The apartment was open, welcoming, full of style and had a view that could not be beaten. The room had everything we could need and more. While it was a one bedroom apartment the little one was taken care of with her own bed and little sleeping area which she loved. It was definitely family friendly and a very relaxing space to stay in.
Overall everything was brilliant from excellent service to a beautiful room with a fantastic view. We have already recommended the company to family and friends and hope to head up to Queensland to stay at the Q1 again as soon as possible. Thank you again and see you soon! -

This is a truly luxurious apartment with fantastic views and a great place to stay. Because it is privately owned and you can't access reception you are pretty much on your own with respect to everything once you are there. The lack of daily/personal service is easily outweighed by the location and level of the apartment. It is annoying for any smokers in the group because you have to keep travelling down the elevator and outside

Thanks for your comments! In regards to the no access to reception, I do apologise if you were not informed that if you had any issues, there was no problem to contact our office which is across the road. We do provide the office numbers etc. on the keys as well. Unfortunately the No Smoking policy is not something we can overcome. When the building allowed smoking there was numerous incidents with getting the fire crews to apartments and this was implemented to protect guests from paying for the fire crews to come, which can be a very expensive process!! We hope you will book through us for your next holiday so we can provide you with the excellent level of support guests usually experience :-)

It was an absolute pleasure staying at the QI in the Sub-penthouse. When I made the booking I kept asking 'but what is the catch?' because Lisa and Danilo were offering such good rates. This Q1 apartment is Perfect For Us (A family with 3 children). It is very modern,and beautifully furnished. Q1 Tower in itself is the most beautiful building in the area with excellent facilities and convenience. The two bedrooms are large and good size. The smaller bedrooms accommodates our 3 children comfortably and the master bedroom is wonderful. The kitchen is also well stocked with cooking utensils.
The view from the apartment is amazing. Beautiful ocean view as well as city and Canal view.
Overall great experience. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Rooms are well appointed, modern and self-contained with a full kitchen. Views were beautiful, pool is huge, and walking distance to the beach, shops, and restaurants.
Lisa, our contact person for the apartment, was very friendly, nice, and helpful. When the bathroom lights were off, she attended to it immediately.

I have always admired the Q1 Building architecture when i first pass by Surfers a few years back and when visiting with the family this time Q1 was the place to stay.
Q1 Resort appartments offer the very competitive price.
I had some reservation and was aprehensive of the view of appartment 5401 a few days prior our arrival as i asked for an Ocean View room.
However on arrival the view is breath taking, we enjoyed almost 270 degree views. Being able to enjoy the sunrise as well as the sun set.
The appartmet was clean, spacious, our children immediatly settle in in the confort of leather lounges and their beds. It was a home a way from home for them.
In some way it was better then living in a 5-star hotel.

This Q1 apartment is a must on the list of things to do...not only a wide highrise view standing 70 floors up, it covers the ocean and surfers in the day then at night the beautiful lights are so amazing. Peaceful and spacious with many luxurys in the room itself. Easy access to the express lifts and then a short walk to one of the best beaches in australia. Cavill avenue is also a must with many shops and stalls to see. Waking up in the morning is the best thing becoz not only do you have glass panels all across the unit, you first handidly get to watch the Sunrise and whoah! what a site to see... If you havent stayed here before, you are kidding urself not to stay in this luxurious Q1 apartment. Thank you...
