  Just got back from a week vacation and staying at the Mighty Molar. Read a few reviews prior to going and overall was happy with the stay.
  
  Pros: very spacious and a nice layout. Overall was fairly clean. A very short walk to the beach. It's located in a quiet area. We went during our Spring break and there were kids around but nothing compared to being in Myrtle Beach.
  
  Cons: Upon arrival and unpacking I had the task of running around and matching remote controls for all the Tv's. They were scattered throughout the house and in rooms where they didn't belong. Just a suggestion, either get a new TV for the living room or contact the manufacturer and get a factory replacement remote control. The universal remote only allows you to channel up/down and doesn't adjust screen size which is zoomed and cutting off wording and info. No wifi access code was given or found. Good thing I'm tech savvy and was able to retrieve the encryption key from the router. There were 2 dead Palmetto bugs/roaches under the couches in the living room but nothing found alive inside or outside . You're in the south, they're around and we understand that. Garbage was never picked up during the week. It was put out Tuesday night and left on the opposite side of the road till Thursday morning. The pool which we never used because it was too cold was pretty much only skim cleaned with debris left in the bottom. Have the dryer serviced or check the vent. We had to run loads through twice and hang them up to finish.
  
  Suggestions: Clean up under furniture and beds. There's dust and sand underneath all the beds and furniture. Touch up the paint indoors. I don't believe the unit was rented the week before. Fingerprints and handprints on a lot of walls throughout the house. Fix the gate to the pool. The magnetic catch doesn't work and god forbid if a child walked in and fell in the pool. The grill shouldn't have to be used to secure the pool area.
  
  It may seem like I found lots of cons but believe me it's nothing that would ruin a vacation. Next time if you could just make the weather a little warmer, keep the sun out and heat the ocean it would be great!! Oh and fix my golf game!

  Bittersweet experience

  My family and I really enjoyed the property layout, rooms, space, and amenities, but had some issues with the home. We arrived very early in the morning (3 a.m.) and found two cockroaches in the down stairs bedroom, but thankfully they were dead which lets us know the pest control company is doing their job. The master bathroom upstairs was not cleaned to my satisfaction however; the toilet seat needed cleaned and the sink had not been wiped down. I did not call to report it because after such a long drive (9 hours) the last thing we wanted was to have to leave to have it cleaned. Also, their was no remote for the upstairs TV which was a bit annoying. The last night we were there the power went out a few times upstairs but not downstairs, so I'm not sure what happened there. Overall the house was very nice and we enjoyed the furniture, we just would have enjoyed it more if the home was cleaner upon arrival.

  We stayed August 2012 and it was the best trip ever. The house was wonderful. The only thing that was not perfect was the dust under the beds, but other than that it was perfect.

  Minor Toothache.

  House layout was great. Could have used a complete cleaning. TVs very small, controllers did not operate TVs. Killed several 3 inch roaches in living room. Pool was nice when clean, had to call maintenance upon arrival (Saturday) to have cleaned (pool was not cleaned until Monday). Pool surrounded by many pine trees, that filled pool with debris. Front door knob was to be replaced Monday (did not work), never was replaced during our stay. Located close to beach access. Wi-Fi available but,SSID password not available.

  cockroaches!

  We were so disappointed- five minutes after we got there we saw a cockroach scoot across the utensil drawer. More were found dead throughout the property. When we contacted the realtors their response was to put a can of raid on the front step- no follow up, just a reply that they were "palmetto bugs"- a.k.a american cockroaches.

  We enjoyed our stay at the Mighty Molar. Would recommend it to a friend. Love the layout of house. Housekeeping could clean alittle more especially floor and under beds, other than that very well satisfied. Staff were exceptionally nice and professional, vey pleasant to deal with.

  It definitely needs new carpeting, even though it was vacumned I still found tons or hair on the carpet. Also states it has WIFI connection. Does not have WIFI, has one computer with internet. Router is not shared. So dont plan on brining your wireless

  Having rented Myrtle Beach condos and beach houses for the past 25 years, we can honestly say that this was our very best Myrtle Beach vacation EVER! It's just a short block from the clean beach (with lifeguard on duty). There is very little street traffic.
  The house (with nice large rooms) was modern and spotless, and the pool was perfect in every way. A big "THANK YOU" to the owners and Garden City Realty.

  We enjoyed this property for the most part, but were disappointed by a few things. The TV sets are TINY! The ones in the bedrooms are too small to see from the beds. The remote for the living room TV did not work. Most importantly, we were disappointed
  by the cleanliness. Several mattress pads were extremely dirty - we washed them, the carpet was very dirty - especially on the stairs and in the master bedroom. We also washed some of the comforters as well. Finally, there is inadequate seating in the living
  room for a house that is supposed to acomodate 10 people. Another sofa at minimum is needed. The pool was clean and in a good location. The floor plan is excellent.

NO HOT WATER FOR AT LEAST 36 HOURS.BOARD ON OUTSIDE STEPS LOOSE-NAILHEADS STICKING OUT.HUGE STAINE 1ST FLOOR MASTER RUG, ROACHES, ALL DOORS CREAKED,1 TO 1ST FL MASTER HINGES LOOSE.FLOORS REALLY DIRTY IN LR AND KIT. FOUND FLIP FLOPS UNDER SOFA. NOT ENOUGH KITCHEN UTENSILS, ETC. DUST ON BASEBOARDS. SCUFF MARKS ON WALLS.LIGHT BULBS MISSING OR BURNED OUT.HOUSE SLEEPS 10-12 LR SITS 4 NEEDS LOVESEAT OR SOMETHING. POOL, ON THE OTHER HAND, WAS CLEAN AND MAINTAINED.

  The house was very nice and the location was not a bad walk to the beach. We were very please that there was 2 additional chairs added in the den. That made a big difference. Also the chairs that were at the pool and outside area. We would recommand this property and would stay there again.

  Thank you for taking the time to complete this review. The owner added two swivel chairs to the living room for more seating. The brochure is definitely wrong on the distance to the Surfside Pier. The distance from the house to the beach access is 0.3 miles which is the distance that most people are interested in.
