This is a new and contemporary log cabin that sits on it's own private 1.25 acres in a small lake community with all the modern amenities of home including high speed internet, telephone, Cable TV, radiant in-floor heating and of course a wood stove for those cozy nights in front of the fire. The home is located in a private lake community only ten minutes from downtown Palmer in the Matanuska Valley. Palmer offers supermarkets, coffee shops, deli's, restaurants, bars and a variety of local Alaskan stores that offer many indigenous gifts and books. Wasilla is only twenty minutes away and is the site of the Iditarod race start every year. There are numerous large and big box stores, a visitors centre and is the gateway to the north. Only ten minutes away are two golf courses both surrounded by majestic mountains. Anchorage airport and downtown is only 1 1/4 hours straight drive down the Glenn hwy. The Alaska Railroad departs everyday from Wasilla and provides scenic trips to Denali National Park and onto Fairbanks.
