Covered with lush vegetation, Kefalonia [also spelled Cephallonia] is one of the most beautiful Ionian Islands, complete with looming Mount Ainos, gorgeous beaches, and spectacular caves. But if you're looking for a Greek island villa rental, odds are we don't have to tell you how close to paradise this place comes. We should mention, however, that you can cycle, swim, and explore to your hearts content from this Kefalonia villa near Argostoli, all with a magnificent view of the Ionian Sea. This is the island of the wonderful novel, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin!
This Ionian island vacation villa is located in Svoronata, on the south...west side of Kefalonia, south of Argostoli [the capital] and Lassi. The area is known for its flat land and rich soils, the heart of agriculture on the island as well as home to its more wealthy citizens. As the land is flat, this is a great area for cycling. The picturesque village of Svoronata is situated about 1.5 km inland from the villa, with tiny winding streets lined with greenery. There is also a large church, known for its beautiful frescoes. The village has three surrounding beaches: Ammes, Avithos, and Ai Heli. Ai Heli offers volleyball, table tennis, and has a life guard, while Avithos has shallow water and is perfect for children. Local restaurants and gift shops are within walking distance of the villas. For a bit of extra excitement, you can visit the nearby go-cart track just off the road from Svoronata to Avithos. The island of Kefalonia itself is lush and rocky, located in the west part of Greece. It is part of a group of 7 islands that can be reached via airplane or ferry. Argostoli: 6 km Lassi: 3 km Svoronata village: 1.5 km This is one of four villas located high up on a hill overlooking the island of Zakynthos. The villa's privileged position offers stunning views and the convenience of being literally steps away from the beach. There is a private entrance [for the four villas only] to the beach only 25 meters away. The four villas also share a swimming pool [5m x 7m].
[70 m2] Ground Floor: Enter into a living room with two chairs and a sofa-bed [sleeps one], all looking over a terrace with endless sea views. Next to the living room there is a dining area and a modern, open-plan kitchen equipped with oven, coffee maker, and washing machine. There are also two bedrooms, each with a 160 cm queen-size bed, an en suite bathroom [with sink, toilet, and shower], and a private terrace overlooking the Ionian Sea.
