We rented this cabin for an anniversary getaway and it was wonderful. It was just the two of us so we didn't even use the upstairs. It was great to have everything we needed (for the two of us) on one level. The kitchen is fabulous, love the large tv in the family room, and love having two bathrooms on the main floor. The views and privacy were amazing!! We saw a mama bear with cubs near the cabin along the tree line which was one of the highlights of our stay. The wrap around deck has great seating and we especially liked the swing outside the master bedroom. We liked the location of the property--between Black Mountain and asheville--very close to both. We did find the hot tub a little inconvenient because it is down a flight of stairs and I am disabled, but it was nice to use otherwise. We found the master bedroom bed to be too firm for us and it would be nice to have a tv in the master bedroom. The drive up to the cabin is fine, better than most I've seen. There is a gate to the private drive that has to be unlocked and relocked upon coming and going. A little bit of a nuisance but worth it for the privacy and beauty of the property. The property was a little pricy for just the two of us but it was really wonderful and just as I had hoped. Everything in the cabin is high quality and beautiful. I didn't want to leave!! Excellent stay!

After a rough time finding the cabin (for those of you who are traveling there, know that Riverwood Road doesn't have a visible street sign from 70!), we had a lovely stay there. The beds and linens are very comfortable, the kitchen is well-equipped, and the aromatherapy steam shower is amazing. This was the most secluded cabin we've stayed at as well--we could not see any neighbors at all, not even lights from their houses in the dark. The hot tub, although tucked away in a somewhat inconvenient location, was clean and very nice after a day of hiking. This cabin looks exactly like the pictures you see on the website.
The only minor issues that we had are that the outdoor stairs get really slippery in the rain (my husband fell while carrying our luggage to the car as we were leaving), the jets in the jacuzzi tub in the master bath don't work, and the hoses are backwards on the washing machine. But these were very minor inconveniences in the grand scheme of things. All in all, for the price, this is one of the best cabins around. -

Our family met at White Wolf Cabin for our annual family vacation. The cabin exceeded our expectations in every way. This is a luxury cabin tucked away on seven acres in the mountains. The kitchen is state of the art, the bedrooms are very comfortable, the master bath is incredible with a jetted tub and aromatic steam shower, and the living area is spacious. Everything was clean and the floor plan is convenient.
The outside was our favorite part with a wrap around porch with ample seating and a swing. There is a wonderful gas grill for cooking out and a fire pit where we toasted marshmallows and sang. We saw turkeys and black bears including a mother and two cubs.
The staff at Greybeard Rentals could not have been more accommodating and helpful. The cabin is located close enough to asheville to be convenient (about 20 min.) and yet you still get to experience the beauty of the mountains. Rent this one before it fills up. -

This property is exactly as described on the Realtor web site. The pictures are completely accurate except for thick forest in summer versus the winter view shown. All the ammenities of the house were perfect and everything functioned exactly as it should. Info provided by both the owners and realtor were accurate and helpful.
The road up to the cabin is an amusement park ride which was exciting the first time but a pain thereafter. Road likely very difficult to impassable without 4x4 in winter. It is ok to go up and down once a day, but make sure to get all your shopping and errands done while you are off the mountain. There is a situation with the gate on this property that the owner needs to address as getting in and out of the car to open and close it is a serious pain. We had to deal with it during our stay and it was inconvenient.
The area is physically beautiful and all the towns nearby offer great restaurants and lots of opportunities to shop, sightsee, hike, etc. Very convenient to highway to asheville and to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Best-bears and wild turkeys in the yard! We saw bears on three occasions on the driveway and they were fascinating to watch from the deck.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the folks at Greybeard Realty to be cheerfully helpful and easy to work with. They were a font of information about things to do, places to go and great restaurants in the area. (By the way, this house has a gourmet kitchen if you are into cooking while on vacation!)
We highly recommend White Wolf Cabin!

Nice property. Plenty of space and lots of privacy! Location is good further away from local attractions. Great for a family or couple. The fire pit is a great addition. The hot tub could have been located in a better location if your traveling with children. You will see a great deal of wild life at this location.

Service was very good, appreciated the loaf of homemade bread. The home had everything and more including steam shower. The location was more remote than expected but worth it.
Overall the entire home was the best. The least, fireplace didn't work.
