We really enjoyed our stay here. Jay was great to work with from the beginning! The keyless entry made things easy. Anything you may need is right on hand! We got to enjoy the wonderful fireplace while we watched it snow. Had dinner at the Ice House Restaurant, which was only a few miles away, and it was delicious. Can't wait to go back in a little warmer weather and bring our boat. Thanks Jay for letting us stay in your home!

I can't begin to describe what a beautiful place this is and what a wonderful experience we had! Without hesitation, I would recommend this place to all my family and friends that want a clean, relaxing, gorgeous place to stay when visiting the coast! We plan to make this our new vacation spot from now on! :-)

Everyone in my family absolutely loved this place. Big rooms, lots of water frontage, and a dock for my boat. The kitchen is hard to navigate when a bunch of people get in it, so just do like me and let everyone else do the dishes!
Bring bug spray or repellent. Or just stay by the water all day where the breeze keeps the bugs away. Didn't see a single one on the dock!

SwansboroGreat stay, from a local perspective...

I threw a surprise birthday party for my wife and used this house as a staging point. We had lots of guests from out of town come in to stay. Everything was perfect. Keyless entry makes it easy and there is so much room in the house. Because i live here locally having access to the boat dock was a big selling point as i could cart folks back and forth from the house to a local island. Huge front yard for kids to play and just a stones throw from historic downtown Swansboro. I would definately stay here again. Can't beat it for the price!

My family enjoyed our stay, but it was to short. My wife wanted to take the bed which was very comfortable. We set the crab pots that were provided and had 10 crab (was 13)for dinner. My daughter enjoyed Kayaking, with kayaks provided. A very nice location to kick back and relax. Swansboro is close by and has some very good restaurants, if you want to get out. We also went over to Emerald Island beach a couple of days and lounged in the sun, a very short drive. So you have the beach close by, can experience the intercoastal with kayaking and walk out on private peer ( set your crab pots) and the feel the solitude of a quiet retreat. I highly recommend it. Maybe next year we'll try this again.

This was a great place to stay. Mr. Holland was a pleasure to deal with, and we're looking forward to renting his property again.

We really enjoyed our stay in Swansboro. The house was really beautiful and the pictures on the website looked just like the place. We can`t wait until we get a chance to go again. The owner was really nice and showed us around the house before he left. It was a awesome place to stay and well worth the money. My kids said that they cant wit to go back. They had fun fishing and boating. Thanks for letting us stay.

Raleigh NCWe had the best time!
Left on 07/12/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Thank you for the best time I had in years at the coast. The house is beautiful, inviting and so comfortable. We had so much fun fishing and crabbing from the pier. We had a years worth of crab during our time there and they were so good. We took bicycle rides all around the area. And this was our first time to Hammocks Beach/Bear Island. With the ferry so close (1 1/2 miles), that became our favorite beach. We also went to Emerald Isle, which is very close also, but we loved Bear Island.
We loved the outdoor shower too. We loved it so much that no one used the indoor showers, even my 80 year old mom. There was always something to do. So much so I never read the books I took. Besides it was more fun to look out over the beautiful waters watching the boats go by. Thanks you for sharing your piece of paradise.
