A detached, self-catering, luxurious 5 bedroom holiday cottage - please see the reviews on holidaylettings.co.uk. The former chapel is now a spacious home, graded 4 star by visitwalestourism. Our holiday home is suitable for large families and responsible groups who love walking, sight-seeing, cycling and nature. Capel Cartref is a mile from the main shops and within walking distance to the local public house. The Post Office and village shop is situated immediately nextdoor. The garden is enclosed and backs onto a river which can be viewed from the balcony and veranda.

Capel Cartref holiday cottage is based in a village close to Brecon Beacons. Swansea is a ten minute drive away and hosts a marina, luxurious leisure centre, great shops...
Just 15 minute drive from the M4, takes you to the village of Cwmtwrch, home of Clive Rowland, the professional rugby player. It is very close to the black mountains, national park, Aberdulais Falls, Afan Park and yet, also close to amenities such as supermarket, post office, pubs, restaurant. Horse riding is an option just another short drive away...

The chapel has been beautifully converted all the rooms are spacious and very well furnished but for me the highlight is the fantastically equipped kitchen.
Set in a stunning valley with a river running past the setting is superb.
The only problem was that we did not stay long enough.
I cannot imagine how anyone would fail to be impressed by this property. Highly recommended -

From the moment we booked we received plenty of helpful imformation about the property and the surrounding area. The property is beautiful. We were amazed at how the owners had renovated the chapel and managed to retain so many of the original features. We had a marvelous experience. You should try it.

I stayed in this lovely converted chapel 3 times: with friends, with kids and with my parents who were visiting from Germany. My father, a building engineer, commended Marnie for the excellent quality of both the internal and external features. She's made it into an exceptional holiday accomodation that suits people who like peace and quiet as much as those who enjoy outdoor activities. Everybody who stayed with me said they had a very comfortable and relaxed time at the chapel. Can't wait to go again soon.
