We absolutely loved this place! We did a family/adult trip to Deep Creek to get some first timers out to the slopes and we were about 15 minutes from Wisp Ski Resort. The place was very well kept and we loved all of the bedrooms. It was so nice having 3 master suites. The service with Railey Mountain was great. They let us pick up our keys late and the check-in/out process was quick and easy. We had a slight problem with the dishwasher, but when we called maintenance, someone showed up within the hour and had the problem fixed. We can't wait to stay here again next year!

Wonderful home with breath-taking views. Our one major complaint was the Queen size beds were really more Full sized and a little too small for the occupants of those rooms.
The fireplace in the family room didn't work but the service technicians who tried to fix it were very courteous and professional. They had to order a part to complete the repair so we weren't able to use it during our stay but we greatly appreciated the response and efficiency of the Service Department. -

We arrived the day before Christmas,earlier than check in time,the staff did not have a problem with that and in about two minutes we had the keys and were on our way.The house was beautiful,extremely clean and well appointed.It snowed every day,skied every day,the hot tub was wonderful after a day of skiing,used the fireplace a lot(I enjoy a nice fire in the evening).The kids had a great time.Definitely a 5 star.

I was very pleased to find Sunset Chalet to live up to every expectation that I had. The interior was very chic but still had a mountain/cabin feel to it. The landscape surrounding Sunset Chalet was magnificent. I would most definently return to Deep Creek. My only sour note was that most of the winter activities at wisp were closed for maitenance. Therefore, my group didn't get to enjoy that aspect.

Service from Railey was excellent - just as expected. The house was decorated nicely and comfortable for the entire family. Beautiful view of lake, peaceful setting and with the state parks and activities in/and around town there was much to do.

Great location for us as we wanted to be near our friends who live in the area. Home is nice looking but cheaply finished. Carpentry work very poor throughout. Whoever installed the kitchen granite did a terrible job. Beds way too soft and uncomfortable. Need more pillows and blankets. Difficult to get comfortable temp throughout the home..usually freezing in basement and too warm on upper level. Have stayed in many such homes over the yrs. I would rank this one toward the bottom of my list.

We booked the home from the pictures online and overall, the house was as we expected. The living room and family room were a bit smaller than the pictures indicated so our entire family couldn't really watch tv all together. The bedrooms were nice and spacious and the house was nicely decorated. In the past, we have stayed in the Blakeslee development and probably prefer that area because it was easy to walk around with the kids and stroller. We did have trouble with the satellite and the dvd player in the family room. I would recommend having detailed instructions on how to operate the tv because it definitely wasn't the easiest to use. We called maintenance and they were able to help us. I did very much like the house and the fact that each bedroom had it's own bath (I'm always suprised at some of the large houses with several bedrooms but only 2 or 3 baths). The location will probably be the reason that we don't rent that particular house again when we vacation with our family (and small children) but perhaps would consider it if we would visit with our friends and older children. We love Deep Creek and it is undoubtedly the most relaxing weekend that we have all year! Thanks so much for a great time!
