      Endless Horizons Winter Vacation

Left on 01/30/2013 for a stay in January 2013

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this house and we love it. The home is spacious, in a great location and has everything you could ask for. The agent we dealt with at Long and Foster (Sophia) was very helpful and went out of her way to help us !!!

The home does have a few items we think should be addressed such as rips/tears in the basement couch, the blower in the basement on the fireplace does not work, the rubber strip on the main floor bathroom shower is not long enough and the shower leaks onto the floor. But these items are minor and had no real impact on our stay.

I would highly recommend this rental to any large group, we cant wait to come back next year !!

Thank you for the great review! We have repaired the sofa, but the owner is looking into new furniture for that level to make it nicer as we cannot get a permanent fix. The blower on the fireplace does work, and the rubber strip in that bathroom has been repaired. Hoepfully that will solve all these little issues. Please come back again! We would love to have you!

Beautiful scenery outside not so on the inside!

Left on 01/09/2013 for a stay in December 2012

We chose this house because of the number of bedrooms and the layout. At first glance the house was nice but the longer we were there the more things we noticed were wrong. Two out of the four shower leaked all over the floor every time you used them. The sheets on the beds were clean but the comforters were not. Ours looked like someone ate pizza and wings in bed and used the comforter as a napkin. Gross!!! The description of the house said it had a wet bar and it didn't. Also the gas fireplace didn't work at all. You would have had more flame from a BIC lighter. We have been coming to Deep Creek for the New Year's holiday for 10 years now and this house was a big disappointment. It just seemed like it needs some TLC and a good deep cleaning.

Thanks for your review! The showers have been looked at by maintenance, and so was the gas fireplace. The items were repaired and we have not had any issues with them since. I am not sure where you saw the wet bar. I could not find it, but if I do see it we will certainly remove it from anything it might be advertised on. The cleaning items on your list were certainly addressed with the housekeepers also. . Thank you for letting us know your thoughts so we can better handle issues and make the home more comfortable for future guests.

We had a great time. Perfect location. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed and lots of space. Upstairs room with queen beds really needs a mirror and a TV would be nice, but it was still a great place. Would definitely rent again.

      nice house, bad management

Left on 06/28/2012 for a stay in June 2012

The house was nice, but a lady called me a week after are stay, and said there was minor damage. She then sent me a picture of a small dent on the wall. I chose your company because of the insurance, but she said the insurance doesn't cover. I asked her what does it cover she said accidental damage damage. Since I asked everyone in my party (all of which I have known over 20 years) said they didn't make the dent I would say that it was an accident. My opinion is to let susan go, and hire someone who can put joint compound on the wall more, and hassle your customers less

Thank you for your response. We will certainly look into this situation. The accidental damage program is something that we use when a guests calls us to let us know they had an accident which resulted in damage to the home. Typically, if not reported, the rental agencies do lean towards the damaged item being a result of negligence or destruction; however such as in your instance, that is not always the case. Accidents do happen. I sincerely apologize this issue was handled like that and we will take that more into consideration on issues such as these. We try hard to keep the homes nice for the owners and the guests.

We love the access to the fishing pond.

Left on 06/20/2012 for a stay in June 2012

This was the fifth time that we rented this property. We have a 9 year old grandson who loves to fish with his father. We love that he can just walk down the driveway to the pond. The dead end road is great for children to ride their bikes. The property is large enough to accommodate our family. The kitchen was not very well supplied. The realty brought us frying pans the same day that we called. The furniture in the great room is worn and could be replaced with more comfortable pieces. We like the size and convenience.
