A single storey detached property in the hamlet of Cloongullaun, near Swinford in County Mayo, sleeping six people in three bedrooms. Mayo Cottage is a quality detached cottage, in a rural location in the hamlet of Cloongullaun, 2.5 miles from the market town of Swinford in County Mayo. There are three bedrooms in this single storey property; a double with en-suite shower room, a further double with rural views, and a twin. The bathroom has a Jacuzzi bath, basin and WC. There is a lovely fitted kitchen with central island and breakfast area, a utility, and a sitting room with electric fire. Outside, large lawned gardens surround the cottage,... ideal for families to play or relax, and there is also off road parking for 4 cars. With the amenities of Swinford close by, a peaceful rural location to enjoy and the whole of Mayo at your fingertips, Mayo Cottage makes a wonderful base for your Irish holiday.

Region: The West of Ireland conjures up many images; thatched, whitewashed cottages, a flock of sheep on a narrow road, an emerald green field with a stone wall, or the Atlantic waves crashing into towering cliffs and rocky shores.

Town: Swinford is a market town in County Mayo, home to a 9-hole golf course and a popular summer festival. The town is set on a tributary of the River Moy, and the area around it is known for its good fishing, especially on the Callow Lakes with their excellent brown trout. Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  Arrived and was stunned at how large this accommodation is. Although just my hubby and two large dogs it has masses of room and very tastefully decorated. Everything you would need in your house all you need is your clothes and food shopping. Nice touch having the Irish Soda bread, milk and cheese as a welcome. This property was £2 cheaper than the one we stayed at in Donegal and about 4 / 5 times the size. Situated in an acre of land. We went to Collow lake and walked the dogs around the blue arrowed walk. It takes 1-1.5hrs not the 2 - 2.5 advertised well worth the walk. Scenery from Moy Haven was beautiful and the River Moy just down from the house. Loved this and well worth the money. The only minus was that directions aren't that clear so if after the S bend go along the road where trees line each side on a straight then at the end of it turn up right. There are no green and white bollards. There is as you turn right a massive brick house on the left and two massive white houses on your right. Straight to the top of the lane past the other new builds and you'll be extremely happy with what you find. I did clean the jet spa bath as it had obviously not been done and my hubby cleaned the back lights as they'd had water lying in them. No big problem.

  A little piece of heaven

  We have just returned home from a week long stay at 'Moy Haven' and we were so sad to leave - it is a beautiful cottage with breath taking views. You can see the sun set from the back of the house and the moon rise from the front. We travelled with our 6 year old triplets and there was ample space for all of us. The owners have catered for every need. We would thoroughly recommend this cottage for a relaxing break away from it all.
