This semi-detached cottage near Swinton in the Scottish Borders sleeps eight people in four bedrooms. 2 Swinton Hill Farm Cottage is a semi-detached holiday home in the countryside near Swinton in the Scottish Borders. The cottage has a double on the ground floor, and upstairs is a double, a twin and a room with children's bunk beds. There is a bathroom on the ground floor and a first floor shower room. The kitchen has a dining area and the sitting room offers a woodburning stove. Outside is off road parking, a garden with furniture just over the quiet country lane and an additional rear patio. 2 Swinton Hill Farm Cottage makes a lovely rura...l base for walking, fishing, golf, cycling or exploring the many historic sites and charming villages of this Borders region.

Lawned garden across quiet road at front of cottage, additional enclosed rear patio with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Region: From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain’s best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

Town: The village of Swinton has been a rural centre since the 11th Century, but has been in its present form since the 1700s. Swinton lies just five miles north of Coldstream, which is on the banks of an excellent salmon river for anglers. Once the main town of the area, Duns, is steeped in history and a visit is highly recommended. There are many castles in the area and grand houses throughout the Scottish Boarders as well as the outdoor pursuits of fishing, golf and walking to keep everyone occupied during their visit. The east coast, with its beautiful, unspoiled beaches, is only a short drive away and Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh, can be reached in an hour. Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
