This lovely, detached house is situated in the Herefordshire village of Symonds Yat, and sleeps fourteen people in six bedrooms. Walnut Tree Cottage is a detached house in Symonds Yat, sleeping fourteen in six bedrooms. All six bedrooms have en-suite facilities, either a shower or a bath, and a basin and WC. There is a ground floor double, three first floor doubles, and two family bedrooms, each with a double and single bed. There is also a ground floor cloakroom with basin and WC, a fitted kitchen, dining room and sitting room each with electric fires and beamed ceilings, a snug, and a conservatory. Outside there is off road parking for six... cars, a front patio area with nice views, and furniture, and also a rear lawned garden, on a steep slope. Walnut Tree Cottage is ideal for families, or a group of friends that wish to tour this delightful area.

Amenities: LPG central heating with electric fires in sitting room and dining room. Electric range cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, stereo/CD, WiFi, selection of books and games. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Off road parking for 6 cars. Front patio area with furniture and BBQ. Large rear garden (on a steep slope) with furniture. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 10 mins walk, pub 2 mins walk. Note: Check in time at this property is 4pm.

Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.   We stayed at Walnut Tree Cottage for a family gathering to celebrate my step daughter's 21st birthday.We all really enjoyed the absolutely stunning views from the cottage and walking from the door. There is plenty of room for everyone to have a bit of space without being on top of each other. All bedrooms en suite which is a bonus. The only downside is if you want to cook properly the equipment in the kitchen is limited. Very small or catering size pans with nothing in between.However small gripe aside, had a fantastic time and would go back

  Beautiful views , good location , but needs improvement

  The good points , six ensuite bedrooms , a patio with a beautiful view , off road parking for 6 cars , ample hot water , well equipped kitchen . Easy walking distance to pub and ferry . Everywhere was clean.
  The bad points , the drive is very steep and some of our party driving large cars found it a challenge , loose gravel at base of drive hazardous . There only area that will seat 12 is the dining room and patio which might be difficult if the weather was bad . The property is in need of a good update , and in the interim minor decoration eg loose wallpaper stuck down , nails removed from wall where picture used to hang, bare plaster in dining room alcove needing planting , rear garden needs tending , patio furniture poor . Poor quality curtains in bedrooms let light through to an unacceptable degree .There is a problem with wood lice in all ground rooms but this is probably dues to its location.
  The property was fine for our needs and might meet yours but it certainly needs improvement in many areas
