The fourth bedroom is actually a private studio over the garage, perfect for those wanting more privacy. Summer evenings in this home feature star gazing by the outdoor fireplace after a dip in the hot tub. Boston, MAGreat Stay at the Emerald Club!
Left on 03/20/2013 for a stay in March 2013
We stayed at the Emerald Club two weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The main living room is nice to have everyone involved in hanging out , socializing and cooking. The bedrooms were comfortable and the unique artwork and tile work was great to see as well. The room above the garage is quite comfortable for the lighter sleepers, as it is away from the main room.
The kitchen is amazingly stocked with appliances and tools- the best we have seen in all of our travels. We were thoroughly pleased with that!
The hot tub was a bit small for a house that sleeps that many (can comfortably fit two and 4 people sitting without stretching out legs).
It's in a perfect location, just outside of Tahoe city. Minutes to the grocery store, Homewood, Alpine Meadows and Squaw.
Only complaint we had was that when we arrived, the back deck had an inch or two of ice on it with a foot of snow on top. We understand it snows, but the ice underneath took about 2-3 hours to break up and shovel off which we did when we first arrived. Otherwise, great management company and great stay. Perfect for a group of friends or a large family!

San DiegoGreat Cabin - very open and great for socializing
Left on 03/14/2013 for a stay in February 2013
The cabin was great, very open and allowed everyone to socialize easily without being crammed into a living room. Large garage, we were able to park two cars in it. Only comment I have is the hot tub fits two adults max or 3 petite women.

Fort Bragg, CABeautiful, relaxing place...
Left on 08/11/2012 for a stay in July 2012
This was a beautiful place. Well taken care of, and beautifully furnished/appointed... and clean! It had everything we needed. Very comfortable accommodations. We had a small "family reunion" of sorts. The master bedroom suite on the first floor was perfect for my elderly parents. The suite over the garage was great for my spouse and I to get away from everyone now and then! My brothers/neice/nephew spread out among the other two bedrooms and sleeping alcoves. The only slight challenge was the shutters/'windows' that open from the upstairs bedrooms into the main downstairs living space... If you have folks w/ wildly different sleeping times (late risers/early risers), it can be a little challenging not to wake others when moving about in the living/kitchen area (this is the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 for "comfort"). Still, architecturally, the place is just "sweet!" Very nice. Kitchen was wonderfully equipped. Loved the deck and the outdoor fireplace. I can see returning to this place with friends.

Fallbrook, CaliforniaThis was a memorable stay!!!

The house we rented for our family couldn't have suited our needs better. Our son and his wife and baby were in the garage loft. Our daughter and her husband were in one bedroom and our granddaughters had the other upstairs bedroom. My husband and I had the master en suite. It was perfectly appointed and we had a wonderful time.

Thousand Oaks, CaliforniaAbsolutely perfect home in every way!

This house in fantastic! Great open floor plan. Wonderful large kitchen with large dining table for great family meals. My family (5 adults) and my sister's family (4 adults) all had plenty of room. Bedrooms were wonderful, comfy beds and lot's of baths. Loved the beautiful architecture and wood. Used the outdoor fireplace nightly with the whole family. Great, quiet location. Couldn't be better!!

Left on 03/07/2012 for a stay in February 2012
Beautiful home in a great location. We held a small family reunion here - 9 people total. The house was a good fit for our group. The apt over the garage was great for our early to bed/early to rise members. The hot tub was great after skiing and the kitchen well equipped to feed 9. A little odd there was not table seating for 9 as it sleeps 10 but minor issue. Comfortable beds, kids loved the cozy single beds on top of each stair case. The mgt company was very responsive when we couldn't shut off fireplace (user error)! Couple of minor negatives, master bedroom on ground floor so little privacy and master bath shower doesn't work very well, could have used more than 1 towel per person as there was a hot tub. Overall the place was very well appointed and comfortable, we would stay again.

San FranciscoWarm, architectural home for a relaxing getaway
Left on 02/06/2012 for a stay in January 2012
The Emerald Club feels like a cozy, woodsy yet more upscale home, and is tastefully decorated with native/latin/southwest art. It's clear that the owner puts care and thought into all the details of the home- from the paint colors to the decor, to the very comfortable beds!
We had a group of 8 adults which filled it to capacity with the exception of the two cubby hole beds which would be delightful and fun for kids. The gourmet kitchen is lovely and worked well for cooking, with the exception of a limited supply of pans.
In cold weather, there is really only one common room to hang out in, and with 8 adults, a bit tight for everyone to relax in a cozy seat all at once. I'm sure in the summer when the deck is in full swing that's not an issue. And, the hot tub on the deck is great- new, hot, and clean!
While the home was clean and appeared well cared for, there were several items that were broken (the stereo) and the towel rack upstairs, or nearly broken and hanging by a thread - the arm of the rocker, the towel rack downstairs, one of the blinds in the cubby bed area. I assume this is because previous renters didn't want to report something for fear of being held responsible for it, but it's uncomfortable to be in a home where you're worried you're going to be the one who finally breaks a nearly broken item.
I'd recommend that Tahoe Getaways does a good walk through and make sure everything is up to snuff and fixes these little blemishes for the next group because otherwise, this place is a gem!Response from Tahoe Getaways - 03/07/2012

Everyone we dealt with was very upbeat and helpful. It was perfect for us with the multiple bathrooms and even separate room and bath. We loved the kitchen! Great for a big group to gather in. Only disappointment was the size of deck and hot tub. We had hoped to do more on the deck but regrouped and we did fine. We loved the decor and personal touches. Vivian morales

Las VegasSpectacular house!
Left on 08/24/2011 for a stay in August 2011
The house was overall amazing! The only downside was we could not figure out how to get sound to come out of the TV in the living room when watching cable. The sound system is very high tech and sounds great when playing Dvd's though. Other than that, the neighborhood was great for the kids with a community center down the street. I will definitely be back next year!

Salem, OregonPerfect house for high school "girls" reunion. We are all 60!
Left on 07/27/2011 for a stay in July 2011
The Emerald Club was a terrific house to bring together the girls from our high school days. With 4 bedroom suites and beds for 10, there was plenty of room. We cooked all meals in; great kitchen! This home even came with the neighborhood black Labrador Retriever, who visited daily. The only thing missing in this house was a CD player; we brought all of our oldies.

Best place to rent for family and friends. Our teens and godchildren loved it! So did my husband and I! We are looking forward to renting it again! Love it! You can bring your Pet too! The neighbor hood lab came to visit and is such a love!

We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay at the Emerald Club. However, just to clarify, this home is not pet-friendly.
However we manage MANY dog friendly properties so please don't hesitate to inquire! -

Really lovely comfortable home in surprisingly private setting. Great kitchen/living area well stocked. Convenient gas "fireplace" that won me over. I seem to have unrealistic expectations in general and this one of the few times I've had them exceeded. I'd definitely book again if coming back to Tahoe.

We couldn't have been happier with our experience with tahoe Getaways. I've vacationed the past five years at a several different mountains, and a couple times at Tahoe, and my experience with Tahoe Getaways was by far the best. Then staff is courteous and responsive, and the property was expertly managed. We had a minor issue on Christmas Eve and the owner of the company himself came out to fix the problem. And most impressive was that he could not have been more pleasant.
I'd recommend renting through Tahoe Getaways to anyone.
