San FranciscoGreat Ski Lease
Left on 05/09/2012 for a stay in January 2012
I have been renting north Lake Tahoe ski houses for ski season (ski leases) for over ten years. I have come to expect certain things not to work and to compromise here and there. This house is different. The common area is perfect for a group, open with nice hardwood floors and a gas fireplace. The hot tub is clean and works well. All of the bathrooms are clean and modern enough. The rooms are cozy and quiet enough (no high heels upstairs in the morning please!) The heating system works very well so bills were not bad at all. The only issue is that skis/boards must be kept in the garage which has to be accessed via an outside side door - not a huge issue, and there is no view from this house (other than the beautiful woods adjacent). If your ski lease crew has graduated from sleeping in a loft, crowded like a dorm, and wants to upgrade to a clean, comfortable and civil house, this one has it all!

In Love with Tahoe
Pacific PalisadesPerfect Year-Round Tahoe Getaway
Left on 01/05/2012 for a stay in December 2011
We stayed in the cabin for a week over New Years and it was perfect for what we were looking for. The location is excellent, just a short drive (or long walk) into Tahoe City or West Shore.
The cabin is very pet friendly with a great trailhead right out the front door that you can take all the way out to alpine - great for hiking, mountain biking or snow shoeing. You are also a very short hike away from Tahoe House for the best coffee on the lake.
All in all, even though we ended up with no snow for our vacation, this place made for a wonderful getaway and we will deffinitely be requesting it again next time. -

This is a beautiful home in a serene wooded location. In 1/2 block you are on forest trails that go in all directions. The upstairs living space is open and inviting with a deck and hot tub. The beds are comfortable and having three bathrooms is a luxury. The only things missing, when we got there, were dish towels, but paper towels did the trick. This house was a perfect place for us to relax before and after our son's wedding in Tahoe City.

Left on 08/24/2011 for a stay in August 2011
The cabin is very comfortable and clean and in a perfect location on the west shore, close to town yet far enough away from the summer chaos. The kitchen was well stocked, and all bathrooms functioning, which isn't always the case with vacation rentals. We have no hestitation recommending this cabin to others.

Left on 08/05/2011 for a stay in July 2011
We stayed for a week in July to celebrate our daughter's first birthday and our 4th wedding anniversary. The weather was perfect and the house made for a comfy home base. We enjoyed exploring the neighborhood and the great trails close to the house. The house had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. Our dog loved lounging with us on the deck. We loved having access to Tahoe Park Beach and our daughter loved the playground.

I called on Friday at 12:00 PM and was hoping there would be a clean nice place for the weekend. The staff found me a great cabin that was perfect and affordable in less than 30 minutes.

Very nice, clean. The new carpet was a bonus. Enjoyed the fireplace and hot tub tremendously, plus the warm character of the cabin. There were quite a few other cabins in close proximity, but I guess that's because Tahoe is so popular. We did have some trouble withe the temperature controls on the hot tub, and I felt the service could have been more responsive in that regard, but otherwise it was very good.

We loved this rental. The neighborhood is beautiful and conveniently located to Tahoe City. The beds were clean and comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The hot tub was a huge hit with the kids, especially after a day of skiing. It was fun for us to have a pet friendly cabin so we could take our dog. I would rent this place again in a heartbeat.

Left on 03/31/2010 for a stay in March 2010
Overall, we really enjoyed the house. I was turned off by the fact that we were left with only two full rolls of toilet paper for a three night stay. I realize this is not a hotel, but c'mon, there should be enough toilet paper provided for a short stay. Also, much emphasis was put on keeping the house clean, yet there were no dish towels or sponges provided to clean up in the kitchen. Finally, some of the towels provided for use in the bath rooms need to be replaced. The towel my husband used was torn and frayed. Again, I don't expect plush accommodations, but I do want to be treated as a guest in my home would be treated.

Overall, we really enjoyed the house and the location and price were excellent. Our only issue was that the hot tub was not properly maintained which led to several members of our group getting folliculitis, or as it is more commonly known "hot tub rash". This is a bacterial inflammation of the skin caused by an improperly sanitized hot tub. Please make sure you check the chlorine level of the hot tub more often so this does not happen to other guests.

Plenty of room for us. Everything worked fine and the jucuzzi is what the doctor ordered after a hard day of skiing.
