There were 6 of us in the house which is well-appointed. The location is on Pioneer Way and has a view of Tahoe through the trees. This street has a combination of old and new homes and Tahoe City is literally down the hill. A perfect week-end get-away and everyone enjoyed the hot tub.

Gorgeous lake view from the deck, hot tub, two of the upstairs bedrooms and dining room. Quality outdoor furniture, living room and dining furniture. Very comfortable beds with soft and warm linens. Kitchen well stocked for large family or group gatherings. Perfect areas inside and out for intimate visits or larger group discussions.
Perfect location above Tahoe City, which has e Rey amenity available.
Rental agency located in the center of town (bottom of hill from house). They answered all questions during initial rental process and at check in. They sent a maintenance person to check on a minor issue on Sunday. Their only concern was our comfort. I never felt like I was bothering them or inconveniencing them. Besides calling them twice on that Sunday, I also stopped by the office to inquire about extending the rental.
Pioneer Retreat fit all of our needs! -

great pad - ideal spot in tahoe city, private, awesome lake view. nicely furnished, spacious enough for eight adults. we really had no complaints - and i've rented a ton of homes throughout the west. for the money, this is probably the spot you want to be in.

Very nice lobby, there are a lot of xbox games!
The master room is awesome!

Everything was as expected and advertised. Great location, nice 4 bedroom house with hot tub. The shower on the first floor was poorly constructed leaking water onto the floor.

The house is an easy walk to Tahoe City (except for my elderly Mom), yet you don't see town from the house. It has a nice view of the lake and very good amenities. Although rated for 12 people, the sleeping arrangements were somewhat tight for our family of 10. I would definitely rent it again-ideal for 4 couples.

Layout of the home not smooth flooling.
Down stairs bedroom windows do not open to get cool air when room is hot.
wierless internet did not work.
This our 3rd stay with you and least safisfactory.
Next time will pay more for a better home.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The location was great - a 10 minute walk into the center of Tahoe City, good exercise walking back up the hill to the house. The house was roomy, comfortable and fairly well equipped. When we had a problem with the bar-b-cue it was taken care of very quickly. The only other problem was that someone had changed the settings on the refrigerator and a lot of our food had frozen before we realized there was a problem. In spite of this we hope to return again next year

House is great, just a little tricky getting up and down the hill since we got over 4' of snow during the week we were in Tahoe. All around great house at a great price.

Great location up the hill from our favorite, Tahoe City.
Views of the Lake and distant peaks from almost every window.
Warm and cozy inside with lots of high-tech gizmos.
Parking next to the front door, and no steps.
Hottub, awesome deck, large family dinner table and all the amenities to make the stay complete.
