An enjoyable though a little disappointing cabin experience

Left on 10/07/2012 for a stay in September 2012

Pros: Our stay at the cabin was indeed cozy. We absolutely loved the view of the lake from the front deck. Watching the morning sunrise and the moon over the lake was wonderfu. The sleeping accommodatiomns were very accommodating. We appreciated having our dog to enjoy the place with us. Having the washer and dryer in the place made it easy to take care of the used towels, washcloths. Cons: We were disappointed there was not a dishwasher in the cabin. Who wants to wash dishes when one is on vacation? It would make me think twice before considering re-renting the cabin in the future. One bathroom in the place made it somewhat difficult when having more than two people there.

      Peaceful at a great location

Left on 09/27/2012 for a stay in September 2012

This place was great and in a nice neighborhood. Great deck to sit on and relax after a long hike. Very cozy decor and amenities. The only reason I don't give the place 5 stars is because the hot tub wasn't working and the water wasn't heating properly when we showed up. I sent an email to the property manager but didn't get a response. I know I stayed over the weekend but it would have been great to either have them follow-up after the weekend to apologize and offer some type of compensation for the underperforming hot tub or send someone to fix the hot tub when we were there.

I will probably check out the place again -- they allow small dogs -- but be sure to ask about the servicing on the hot tub to make sure its ready for your stay there!

      Real cottage experience!

Left on 08/16/2012 for a stay in July 2012

This cottage had an old cottage feel--in the nicest way possible. It is 1930-40's vintage with two decks and second bedroom is in a separate structure so it affords privacy from the main bedroom. Very large living-dining room with a cozy nook off the kitchen. Located up the hill from the main road and unfortunately we could still hear the traffic.
Of course it lacked the modern amenity of dishwasher (which was fine for us) only adding to the rustic experience. But we would have liked a toaster, and some of the dishes were broken and not well washed from the previous visitors. Carpet had some burn marks from the living room fireplace. The only other complaint is that the bathroom fan was loud and infuriating as it went on automatically when the light was switched on. Otherwise charming, but a bit overpriced.

Very comfortable with everything you need.

Left on 06/27/2012 for a stay in June 2012

We loved our week in this home. It had everything you need plus more. The hot tub was fantastic and the large deck was great for relaxing, playing board games, or just reading a book. The beds were very comfortable, well stocked kitchen we we able to cook everything we wanted to and having the washer/dryer was really nice. This is a great place to get away and relax with family and close to everything Tahoe has to offer. We hope to be able to reserve this property next time we vacation in Lake Tahoe.

      Great patio with hot tub
