Novato, CAGreat House, Great Location!
Left on 07/27/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We stayed at this house with one other couple. There were 4 adults and 4 kids total in the house. We felt that there was plenty of room for all of us, in fact I do not believe we used all of the rooms for sleeping. The home was clean, everything was in working order and I can't really find anything negative to say about the home or its location.
The Hot Tub with a view of the lake was awesome!
I think this home may be our new place to rent each summer.

Bay Area, CAGood house and location for the price
Left on 08/25/2011 for a stay in July 2011
Overall, very pleased with our rental. The house is a bit old, but very comfortable and easily met all of our needs. I am not sure if no one had stayed there for a couple weeks before us or if the cleaning staff in between rentals didn't do a good job, but a few locations in the house were covered in dust. This isn't a reason to bypass this rental, just an observation that can hopefully be taken care of for the next renters. Coldwell Banker was very easy to work with and the check in / out process was easy. Access to the private beach is awesome.

Oakland, CASolid vacation rental
Left on 03/25/2010 for a stay in March 2010
This was a nice, clean 4 bedroom, 3 bath house. It has an unusual distribution of "sleeps 10," since it really only sleeps 9 in bedrooms.
On the first floor is a bedroom with queen bed and 2 bunkbeds, and an open family room with a futon. I guess the futon counts as sleeps 1. I also heard that the bunkbeds were somewhat uncomfortable for adults to sleep in.
On the second floor is a large living room, kitchen, dining room, and the other three bedrooms (master bedroom with king, one bedroom with queen, one bedroom with a single twin).
Otherwise, the kitchen was not as well equipped as I hoped/expected. Things we didn't find included: colander, medium size pots, kettle would have been nice. The knives were sharp, though, which is rare in a rental house.
The hot tub was a key selling point for us. It worked great, large, and on the deck. The only downside is that the most convenient access to the hot tub is through the master bedroom.
Another note: We came up for a ski weekend, and had trouble getting up the driveway due to snow accumulation. We spent quite a bit of time shovelling out the driveway in order to get the cars (even with chains) up.
Otherwise, we had a great time. The garage fits 1-2 cars, which is nice in bad weather.Response from Stay In Lake Tahoe - 06/26/2010

We're glad you enjoyed this home! There are actually 3 sliders to the deck where the hot tub is - the closest is off the master bedroom, but the others are close also. The owner is purchasing new pots and pans - thanks for the mention of that! The driveway is plowed by a service - but sometimes our roads can be a bit tricky with a little snow and cold temps. Hope you will come back and visit Tahoe again - it really is awesome!

San Jose, CAGreat neighborhood; house and management could use some improvem
Left on 03/07/2010 for a stay in February 2010
I would rate this house between 2 and 3 stars, and put 3 stars because I
hope our experience with remedy some of the issues we experienced.
The location of this house is great-not walkable to Tahoe City, but it has a
nice view and it's in a very quiet, relaxing spot. However, when we arrived
at the house, it wasn't clean (and when you have young children crawling on
the floors, that's an even bigger concern). When I called to let Coldwell
Banker know this I was told that there had been a huge party a few weeks
ago at the house and what I was witnessing was as a result of that.
However,
I was told by
the Coldwell banker representative that I would need to express my
concerns to the housekeeper myself, which was not at all the way things
should have been handled. As a renter, I would have preferred that Coldwell
be concerned with the customer having concerns, and agree to steps that
would remedy the situation so I could enjoy my vacation. Instead, the very
sweet housekeeper showed up, with the 14 month old on her hip, in a snow
storm, at 5:30 in the evening. As a mother myself, I was very
uncomfortable walking her through our initial complaints late on a Friday
evening when her child was present, and after our long journey to get to
Tahoe.
As the weekend went on, we began to notice other issues with the house;
dishes were not clean, there was broken glasses on the back deck, my child
found a person's undergarments under the bed, the King bed frame was
broken and we were not able to sleep on the bed. Thought the Coldwell
Banker representative was very nice, we were refunded 1/2 of our cleaning
fee but and I didn't have the energy to further explain our dissatisfaction
and argue for a more equitable solution, and I don't think I should have had
to given what I explained above.
Again, the location of the house is great, and I hope our concerns ensure
the next renter does not have to deal with what we did. -

We stayed at this property on Christmas weekend with 4 other families, Its was a great experiance and everybody was wowed by the house, pictures didn't do justice to actual house. House contains a big island fully furnished kitchen along with dining room and big living room. There was enough space for everybody along with kids.

Great home - great hot tub with views of the lake. They do need a
better heating system as the house never seemed to get really
warm.
We cooked, and they have a nice kitchen with lots of dishes, glasses
etc.
