We enjoyed our stay at the yankton. It was comfortable for the 8 of us. Loved the view of the lake.
The beds alittle hard and the upstairs shower people taller than 5'10" would hit their heads on the board above the shower.
But we liked the open kitchen we had plenty room for us to cook and get stuff together. We also like the deck to go out on even though no snow the view was great.

From the beginning, our stay in Tahoe Vista was awesome. Agate Bay has online rentals down to a science! From booking to confirmation to check-in through to check-out, it was organized, painless and mistake-proof! I received an e-mail from agate Bay the morning after we checked in, just to make sure everything was going OK...very reassuring! Thank you for making it so easy!
The cabin was perfect. It was clean, well-stocked, spacious. We used the wi-fi, the kitchen, the grill, the dishwasher and the washer/dryer all many times! The cabin is obviously well taken care of!

I did a lot of searching for a place to stay in the North Lake Tahoe area, and the prices were not cheap. So I was a bit apprehensive when I was quoted what I would consider a very reasonable price on the Yankton house. Was something wrong with it? As it turns out, there was nothing wrong at all - the house was clean, it had ample room for the three of us - and it could have accommodated several additional kids. There was a big kitchen, and a wonderful deck with filtered lake views (and an even better view from the upstairs deck). the location was great - just minutes away from everything we wanted - beaches, restaurants -even casinos were less tan 10 minutes away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Ok, there were two minor issues, one of which is unavoidable, and one which can easily be fixed:
The first is the traffic noise. I thought that being that far removed from the highway, there would be no noise at all. I was wrong - even that far above the road, you could hear the constant stream of traffic on Hwy 28 as a steady undercurrent. However, I can't imagine now staying in any of those lakeside places that are right on the road - those would have been much worse, noise-wise. You'd have to go pretty far away from the lake to avoid that altogether.
The second is very fixable - the bed sheets. The sheets were clean, no problem there, but they were very rough - industrial grade or something. That could easily be upgraded, and I would have given this place 5 stars if the sheets had been better.
That being said, I would gladly come back to the Yankton house the next time I'm in Tahoe.
