It was a pleasure for us to stay in this house during our short visit to Tahoe. The check-in process was easy. I received a call earlier in the day to double-check when I would arrive. The office was easy to find and they had my packet ready to go.
The minute you walk in the door, the view is a Wow! The trees and the lake can be seen from living/dining areas and from all bedrooms. The kitchen, while not super-updated, is still beautiful, large and a great work space with plenty of room/seating to congregate. The bathrooms are all updated with awesome showers and the beds and pillows were high-end and extremely comfortable. The hot tub worked perfectly. I wish I owned this house!
The location was pretty good; nothing is within walking distance. In 5 minutes you can be at some pretty good restaurants, but if you go to the most highly recommended restaurants you may have a 20 minute drive. Skiing at NorthStar is about 15 minutes away although we went to Squaw Valley which was about a 25 minute drive. Nevada casinos are 10-15 minutes away also.
My constructive comments: I was a bit disappointed that there was no patio furniture. The balcony is large and the weather was beautiful. Also, this is the first time I've seen 1-ply toilet paper in years. An upgrade would be nice; the extra rolls were 2-ply but the stuff on the roll with the folded corners was 1-ply and unpleasant. Not sure what's up with that??? Just an FYI so you won't be disappointed, this is a managed property so it's not the typical Vrbo-type experience where the owners are welcoming and leave wine and eggs/bread/jam/coffee etc. It's simply a beautiful, comfortable home that we feel very privileged to have enjoyed for a couple days. What a view to wake up to from an extremely comfortable night's sleep! -

The first impression is the outstanding view of the lake, "spectacular". Home is large and can accomadate a lot of people. Close to Kings beach and a 30 minute drive to Tahoe City (depending on traffic). Dog friendly too! Game room and 55" TV a big hit with the kids. All around a great place to vacation.

Haverhill, MANice house but a few issues

This was a very nice house with good amenities but there were a couple of little things that prevent me from giving a 100% glowing review. First, as we walked through the door we were immediately greeting with a sign that said "don't touch". This was taped to a certain artifact that I believe was from Thailand. There were also a number of other artifacts throughout the house. We didn't even want to use the dining room table which was another artifact. I wouldn't include these in a house that I planned to rent. The deck had a nice view of Lake Tahoe but unfortunately didn't have any seats that were truly comfortable to enjoy the view! (for the owners benefit, it may be time to replace a few floor boards on the deck!) The beds were comfortable and the house was certainly very spacious but probably wasn't the house for us since we had teenage boys and constantly worried about breaking something. The home may work better for older couples.

This is a fabulous house. Very comfortable, roomy, and a speactacular view. There's a large Kithchen and a great Game room. You can have 8 people in the house and you still can feel alone. It is also very well located and just 10min from Northstar. This is a new house on the market, so being seasoned renters, me and my gang provided a healthy list of missing items that, when fullfilled and fixed, will make this a place without complaints!
