Comfortable, safe and value for money
Left on 03/21/2013 for a stay in March 2013
We were a family of four and we enjoyed our stay at Grace's place. The location was really near the Liuzhangli MRT station as promised. There are also convenient bus rides you can take to some major attractions. We were initially worried that staying in an apartment would mean there would be no receptionist to ask questions but turns out the guards at the door were really helpful. We also liked that the place was very safe as entrance is guarded by electronic keys.
The place could probably use a microwave oven but other than that is all good :D -

Fantastic apartment for families with young kids
Left on 02/04/2013 for a stay in January 2013
For some reason most hotels in Taiwan only allows a maximum of 3 people and thank god we found this apartment as I was travelling with my wife and 2 kids. The kids absolutely loved the apartment especially the upper level loft (although if you are above 170cm, it's probably not a good idea to stand up fully on the loft). There's plenty of storage areas and the apartment is well lit. Grace was really helpful and answered any questions I had. We stayed for 10 nights and barely heard the neighbours nor traffic from below. The location is fantastic as within a few mins stroll, there's a local Taiwanese breakfast shop, MRT (Liuzhangli station) and Donghua Night Market was about a 15 minute stroll (or couple of stops on the bus). Building security was second to none as there's a friendly 24 hour security guard and you need a key fob to get through the main door and lift (even returning to 1st floor, you'll need to swipe the key fob). We'll definitely be renting this apartment again when we return to Taipei.

Left on 02/01/2013 for a stay in December 2012
We stayed at Grace's apartment in December for 18 days. Very modern and clean apartment in an 8-year old complex with top-notch security. The wi-fi in the apartment was god-send. Just can't imagine without the internet service in today's world. Although the apartment has a washing machine, but the laundry machines in the basement are heavy duty, fast, and coin-operated with minimum cost.
The location is right next to a MRT station with easy access to all points in Taipei. There are many eateries in the neighborhood to enjoy various local food.
Most importantly, Grace, the owner was very efficient, courteous, and helpful. We'll go back to her place next time we visit Taipei. -

Singapore, SingaporeMy 2nd time booking with grace
Left on 01/26/2013 for a stay in January 2013
We made a booking with grace from 17 - 23th Jan. Wanted to get this apt but sadly it was taken.. we took the 6th floor instead... was quite worried initially as there were 3 of us.. But instead everything went well!!
As Grace was sick and i was very familar with the place, i took the keys from the security guard. Apartment may not be big but it was clean, cosy, with basic facilities including washing machine, and even free Wifi in place.
Apartment was just 5mins walk away from Liuzhangli station. There were few cafes, 7-11 convenience stores around, and friendly and helpful 24/7 security guards.
Fyi, if u can find the shopping mall around the area, u can take a direct bus back to taoyuan airport for only 145 TWD!!! the bus no is 2060. ask the security guard!!! -

Left on 01/11/2013 for a stay in December 2012
My friend and I had the pleasure of staying a total of 14 nights in Grace's apartments. I was initially very worried about transfering money into the bank account of someone I did not know but all my worries went away once I got to the apartment and met Grace. The stay was most enjoyable as the accommodations were spacious, clean, and conveniently located. Grace was most kind to meet us when we checked in to show us where everything was as well, how everything worked (e.g. washing machine and wifi) and answer any questions that we may have had. I strongly recommend this apartment for your next short or long-term stay. The apartment even had a view of Taipei 101. I will definitely be staying here again in the future!

Left on 01/09/2013 for a stay in December 2012
The only reason I'm hesitating to write this review is because I want to keep it a secret just for myself! This place was amazing, the the landlord Grace was even more so. She was always in constant contact and made booking and payment very simple. I went with my girlfriend, and were concerned about scams, but Grace was definitely an angel. She was very friendly and even suggested things for us to do. She provided everything we needed in the apartment. The location is amazing, right next to the MRT station, it never took us longer than 15 minutes to reach our destination, whether it be Taipei 101, Night Markets, and shopping malls. The security is also great, as there is a guard on the bottom floor 24/7.

Left on 01/01/2013 for a stay in December 2012
It was a last minute booking. Sent an email to the owner (Grace) and it only took one working day for her to reply! We are lucky that we rented the last vacant apartment, from 16th to 23rd Dec 2012! Grace did her part and stated clearly in the email with regards to the term and conditions. Amenities are all provided by the owner, eg. bathing toiletries, washing detergent, etc.. Security guards of the apartment building are friendly and polite. The nearest metro station will be Liuzhangli, it is 5 mins away from the apartment. There's bakery shop and 7-11 nearby. This apartment was a value-for-money choice for us. We are thankful to Grace who was helpful and efficient in ensuring we had a good stay in her apartment. We will be definitely be back again!

Excellent for small family with young children
Left on 11/22/2012 for a stay in November 2012
We stayed in unit 908 and the unit came with all imaginable items that we need (it's just like my own home!). The location is very near to Liuzhangli MRT station (2 mins walk) and bus transit from/to Taoyuan airport opposite Shangri-La (10 mins walk).
There is a 7-11 opposite and if you turn left when exiting the apartment lobby, there is a small family-ran breakfast cafe that sells very good 'tan bing' (egg roll) and 'loh bai gao' (fried radish). We stayed for 7 days and it's truely a home away from home. I would not think twice to rent this place again on my next trip to Taipei.
The only small blip to this unit (not a fault for the owner Grace) is that there was a construction going on across the road in Nov '12. It may be noisy sometime during the day but it didn't really concern us as we were away visiting and eating during daytime and the construction stoppped during nighttime. -

Left on 10/28/2012 for a stay in October 2012
We rented a similar design but smaller apartment on the sixth floor from Grace as there were only 3 of us.
Everything was done swiftly from room reservation, checkin, checkout and rental payment with Grace. Apartment may not be big but it was clean, cosy, with basic facilities including washing machine, microwave and even free Wifi in place.
Apartment was just 5mins walk away from Liuzhangli station. There were few cafes, 7-11 convenience stores around, and friendly and helpful 24/7 security guards.
All we need was a nice place to rest and sleep, to commute around Taipei, and safe place to return at night after a long day of shopping and sightseeing. This apartment was a value-for-money choice for us. We are thankful to Grace who was helpful and efficient in ensuring we had a good stay in her apartment. -

Very smart with utilizing space. We travelled with a young and a teenager. The apartment has everything you need including the umbrellas, I was a little suprised. You do not feel crowded at all. This apartment also located very close to subway and bus station in a walking distance. The shopping and finding the local food was no problem at all. It's sad that we had to visit the emergency room while we were staying, but the good news is that there were two big Hospitals nearby, too. Grace also very kind of checking and looking for us if we need anything during our staying. Super friendly! They also have 24/7 security guard at the building. Environment is very safe & clean for family stay, especially travel with a young & a teenager. "No smoking" also get many " +++" . Love it & will come back for staying again & again. Great job! Grace! :)

Grace was extremely helpful and prompt on her service and check-in and check-out was easy and fast. The apartment is very near to MRT(LRT) as well as bus stops that links you to various parts of Taipei. A night market is about 2 bus stops away, a 24 hour seven-eleven opposite the apartment. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom has everything that's needed. We will consider coming back again during our next visit for sure.

Left on 08/10/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We (2adults+2kids) stayed for 12 nights and really liked our little Taipei home. Actually it's a bit of a novelty staying in a small apartment, so the kids loved it. I am a big chap so even though it's not quite the space I am used to, I did not find it annoyingly small. It is very well appointed and clean, and most importantly easy to get transport to and from.. the tram and bus stops are very close by, but you would not know as the double glazing cuts out all road noise. There is a few small eateries within a couple of mins walk and a 7\Eleven across the street with a kiosk nearby that sells a 'traditional' taiwan breakfast of soya milk and omlette pancake. Grace is well organised and speaks enough English to accept those guests who do not speak mandarin. Wi-fi is free, as is a DVD player and large screen TV but only Chinese channels. There are two 'in the wall' AC units which are plenty powerful enough to keep the place cool even in summer and there are also two fans provided as well, in case you do not like aC.
We would stay again without a doubt unless the kids are too old and grown up, it is a great place for a couple who want the convenience of location but not pay hotel prices. -

Left on 06/15/2012 for a stay in March 2012
This is our first time travelling to Taiwan. We stayed at another similar apartment at level 6 for 13nights. The apartment is exactly the same as those shown in the pictures sent to me by Grace via email.
Booking was easy, I TT the refundable deposit (which will be returned on the day of check-out, in cash) to her to book the apartment. Once she has received the money, a booking confirmation was emailed to me stating the terms and conditions. I was feeling skeptical at first up till the point I landed in Taipei as I was afraid I wouldn’t get an accommodation , but no worries, Grace is an honest woman you can rely on. Full payment was made on the day we check-in, in cash, and we got our deposit back on check-out day in cash, too.
The apartment is clean and cozy like what all other reviewers said, with a comfortable sofa and mattress.
Equipments/Utensils/Other facilities available:
Electric stove
Microwave Oven
Fridge
Frying Pan
Pot
Teapot with cups
Chopsticks
Wine opener
Washing Machine/Dryer (there are coin-operated washing machines and dryers downstairs if you think the one in the apartment is too small)
Washing Detergent
Hair-Dryer
Shampoo, Hair Conditioner, Shower Gel, Soap
Facial Tissue (loads of them)
Toothbrush
Bath Towels and Hand Towels
Vacuum Cleaner
Television
WiFi
Two air-conditioners
Two Electric Fans
Queen-Sized mattress
Sofa bed
We bought Taiwan Mobile (?????) prepaid SIM cards with unlimited data plan for our iPhones at the airport arrival hall since we would be there for 14days. Made a phone call to Grace and she said she would be at the lobby waiting for us. As no transport was provided, we took airbus 2060 and alighted at Shangri-La’s Far Eastern hotel after about 40min. It took us a short 10min walk (with Google Map) to the apartment with our luggage. As promised, Grace was at the lobby welcoming us, showed us to the apartment.
Accessbility
There is a bus stop downstairs with many bus services. Takes you to many tourist spots, shopping malls and famous night markets within minutes, faster than the metro. The bus stop near the LiuZhangLi station has buses that bring you to places like JiuFen or Keelong.
Safety
Very safe as you would need a security token to open the front door of the building and to use the lift.
It was a pleasant stay for us and we would definitely be back again! Thanks Grace for hosting us! -

VancouverGreat Stay
Left on 05/21/2012 for a stay in May 2012
My family rented this apartment and another one in the same building for 2 weeks. It came as advertised - a roomy (by Taipei standards) one bedroom loft, clean, with comfortable beds and furniture, and conveniently situated close to the MRT. The building is quite new, with good security. Grace was a welcoming, friendly and helpful owner, and was very accommodating, such as when additional family members arrived, unexpectedly! We had stayed at another rental apartment earlier on the trip and it just didn't compare to, being small and very noisy. Grace's apartments offer somewhat a nice home to come back to after a day of sightseeing in a crowded and noisy bit city. The amenities offered in both apartment are also impressive - free WiFi, two sets of keys, in suite laundry, which is invaluable for travelers in hot climates! Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and soap, towels, sheets and bedding, clothes rack, fans, detergent, decent size fridge, and a hot plate sink area to do some simple cooking or food prep, although most will be eating out with Taipei's great dining options. This is not a hotel, so you cannot expect the same type of service. However, for those staying more than a few days, you will get more space, more amenities and be much more comfortable, adding to your trip enjoyment. A nice home away from home!

Los AngelsBeware of the booking process
Left on 05/06/2012 for a stay in May 2012
I can't comment on the place itself as I decided not to book with Grace. This review is only for the inquiry and booking process I experienced. Grace is very good at replying to my inquiries but defies all of the flipkey recommendations. She does not accept credit cards nor paypal for the deposit, but only direct transfer to her bank account. God forbid, if something happens to her, you won't see your deposit money anymore. She claims she is the property owner and not a business owner so she doesn't accept these forms of payment. What's misleading is that her rental is a business, additionally, signing up to Paypal does not require you to be a business. She indicated in her ad that the rate is $70-$76USD/day for all seasons. However, she quoted me $85USD/day due to the fact that I am staying between 12/15 to 1/15 which is a holiday season. Isn't what the range $70 to $76 is supposed to cover? Additionally, she can easily indicate this surcharge period in her ad. Furthermore, she wanted to charge me for housekeeping and when I indicated to her that her ad stated it includes housekeeping, she then accepted.
All in all, it seems that previous reviewers had good experience with her and the apartment. However, if you are a very detailed and cautious person like myself, you may not like what you will hear from her during the booking process. I hope she will be more forthcoming with her answers and update her ad after she reads my review. -

My husband and I traveled with our toddler. This apartment had made everything easy for us. It has more facilities compare to hotel such as washing machine/dryer, wi-fi, microwave and a little kitchenette to cater to our needs. It's the cleanest accommodation that we have stayed in Taiwan. It has the homy feel with hotel quality. Location is close to MRT about 2mnts walk with a 7/11 across the road.
Grace can not be more accommodating than she could be, an excellent host and very easy going. -

I agree with all other reviewers; this is the cleanest place you can find in Taiwan. Bed is comfy. It's close to MRT and 7/11. The host, Grace, is awesome. She is reachable all the time. I arrived 8am and she got the key ready for me in the lobby. The security is tight. People cannot get into the elevator if they don't have the Rfid key. Definitely to stay here next time. The only concern is that the place will be so booked with all the nice reviews. But, Grace deserved it.
P.S. This place may not be good for older people. -

From shampoo to vaseline gel Haha. She even went all the way out to buy us a universal plug when i asked whether she has one. So sweet of her. Location wise, it is a very well-secured building and its really a 2 minutes walk to the Station LiuZhangli. 7-11 is just across the street. Its very centralised. Very near to many places like Soho, Taipei Zoo(where the MaoKong Rides are). Most importantly, you can see Taipei 101 very clearly from the window. Awesome view. Overall, it was a very pleasant and lovely stay. Very grateful for the hospitality extended by Grace. A very motherly and fun Owner. <3

Basic amenities are all provided for, be it toiletries, room slippers etc. Everything that you will ever need in a home can be found in this apartment. For the price paid, it is definitely worth it!
Moreover the apartment is located just walking distance to LiuZhangLi station, with convenience stores just across the road.
All in all, i will definitely stay at this apartment again when i visit Taipei, if it is available that is.
Once again, thanks Grace.

This particular apartment was not available for our one week stay, but our host, Grace, had another apartment in the same building. The place was great and Grace is simply amazing. We came in at night and she met us at the airport bus stop near the apartment. All through our stay she was readily available to answer questions or help us out. The metro was within 5 minutes and was easy to use. We recommend seeing the Taipei 101 Tower, the zoo, the Botanical Garden, the Museum of Contemporary art, the Longshan temple, and a side trip to the seaside town of Tamsui (about an hour away by Metro).

Left on 02/16/2012 for a stay in February 2012
The apartment I stayed at isn't the one as listed but another apartment which is pretty similiar on the 6th floor of the same building which is also owned by Grace.
We stayed for 8 nights in Feb and I must say, it was not a mistake to rent this apartment.
Grace was extremely helpful and I can't stress that enough. From the prompt replies to emails and tweaking and adjusting the lease agreement to suit your needs, she will definitely make renting this apartment very easy for you.
The apartment is located across the road from Liuzhangli Station which may not be the most central station but is within 6 stops from the Taipei Main Station (with one change of trains). It is also minutes away from a 7/11 and small walk to a night market (Tong Hua Night Market) as Grace informed us.
Grace supplied the apartment with all the little extras to make it as homey as possible. Towels, toothpaste, shampoo, shower gel, an equipped kitchen, washing machine and the lot. There is also airconditioning on both levels as well as wireless internet being provided.
The upstairs loft has a low ceiling and taller people may find themselves tilting their heads when standing but we only used it when sleeping so there is no problem. Some people may also find the bed a little hard as it is very low to the floor.
Overall, I would definitely stay here again next time and I would also reccommend it for couples or smaller families.

We (six adult) rented this apartment from 12/27/11 to 1/2/2012.
The apartment was clean and well maintained with all the basic amenities. The apartment was a bit crowded for six adults as it was meant for two to four people, but Grace was very accommodating and gave us extra mattresses, pillows, and blankets. It is also very close to MRT.
Checking in was a breeze, even at 2am in the morning, as the friendly doorman/security had our keys ready when we arrive.
I would definitely consider renting this apartment again when traveling to Taipei, and have recommended this apartment to a friend who is planing to come to Taipei in May.

Our loft apartment was located in a beautifully maintained building with a doorman and had all the amenities we needed. The location was great for us - near the MRT and on several bus lines. There were several restaurants in the area, and the building is within walking distance of many sites. Our actual unit was clean, the beds were comfortable, the lighting was quite adequate and the water pressure in the shower was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again if traveling to Taipei. -

This review is for a 9-night stay for three adults and one 1.5 year old toddler. We decided to stay here because we were looking for kitchen and laundry amenities that a hotel wouldn't be able to provide. There were other choices, but we decided to stay here based on Grace's speedy communications and the location (MRT station is across the street).
The apartment has basic amenities - an electric burner, basic kitchen utensils and cookware, a small fridge, washer/dryer, wi-fi, and tv. Towels, sheets, and even full-sized toiletries were all provided. I would say the apartment is a little smaller than I expected, and given the open loft and stairs, it's not the most kid-friendly space for a small child. But this being Taipei, I guess it's normal.
Overall, I recommend this apartment for its convenient location next to the MRT station. Grace is excellent to deal with and I will be recommending this apartment to other friends.

Left on 11/15/2011 for a stay in October 2011
I rented this apartment from 10/26/2011 to 11/03/2011 for a friend of mine who was going to attend my wedding at the Shangri-la Far Eastern Hotel across the street. The apartment was wonderful. It was clean, and well furnished. Everything and anything that we needed was already available and provided. The apartment also comes with included wifi, which made it very convenient. The two level floorplan makes it easy for one couple to sleep below on the fold-out bed, and another couple to sleep above on the second floor. The best part was electricity was included, so we ran the a/C ever so often, since we were no use to the high humidity in Taiwan. All in all, I think it is probably the best price deal for a clean and new short-term stay apartment in Taiwan, with everything included. If you compare with a lot of the other rentals, they have quite stringent minimum-stay terms, and usually electricity is not included. I highly recommend!

We were travelling with 2 small children and wanted somewhere central so we didn't have to spend too much time getting round. This little pad really fit the bill. Even with our 2 and 4 yo daughters dragging their feet it took less than 5 minutes from front door to riding the MRT.
To make it even easier Grace (the owner) was wonderful. She was very communicative before we arrived and was very flexible with check-in and length of stay restrictions. And really looked after us during our stay with all sorts of little touches, fresh apples on arrival, assistance with phones and she even allowed us to change the length of our stay after we arrived. Really excellent to deal with.
The apartment itself is pretty simple. Comfy bed and pillows, functional kitchen, free wireless and big screen tv make it all very cosy. The headroom in the loft is also a little cosy so if you are really tall I would probably think twice, I am only 6'1" and my head was well and truly on the roof, but we were only really up there to sleep so no big deal.
All and all very easy and fun stay. If you are looking for somewhere central at a reasonable price and low hassle this place was great.Response from Taipei Apartment Rentals - 10/08/2011
