Nice start of our honeymoon

We stayed there for 4 nights of our honeymoon trip to Mauritius, the place is super clean and we love cooking in our apartment, supermarket is in walking distance.
The beach with nice sunset view is just a step from our pool! But watch out for sea urchins and make sure you got enough protection before you go into the sea.
We bought some fireworks from the supermarket and we fired them in the beach and it was great fun! A nice stay and nice experience, the price is reasonable and you get what is beyond the price! Try it!
There is minimum nights for booking directly thru their official site or contacting the owner, but thru agent we can book for on,y 4 -nights.
We love the fully equipped kitchen and with washing machine! It's really our home and we don't wanna leave! -

We have stayed with apartments service by Horizon in Mauritius before. The Leora beach apartments is very good value for money. The staff are very efficient and the place is a real gem. We stayed in the Penthouse suit. Very modern in its furnishing with a very spectacular view. The management attended very promptly to a few snags and even gave us a dinner on the house because of the few snags.
I can really recommend this property. The best value for money in a beautiful environment. -

Our family stayed at Belle Crique in Tamarin for a second time in January 2013. Once again, the apartment was fantastic. The location, service and comfort was superb for our family of 6.
We love the West Coast of Mauritius and the location of the apartments allows you to be in a tranquil environment away from people yet close enough to great beaches, supermarkets, golf courses and other amenities if/when you feel like a bit of activity.
The entire Horizon Holidays' team were as always fantastic to deal with. Hope to be back soon :)

We travel extensively with our older kids and are not keen on the usual family-type hotels. The penthouse at Leora Beachfront apartments was perfect - spacious, luxurious and comfortable. 3 bedrooms all en-suite (main with bath and shower). The beautifully furnished patio has magnificent views/sunsets and also has a Weber. The apartment is fully equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher - all extra-silent.
Winsley the manager was excellent. The cleaning lady Fatima was always smiling, friendly and efficient - cleaning thoroughly every day (except Sundays).
Although the beach is rocky and the sea is not really safe to swim in - it was not a problem as the complex pool (never overcrowded) is right next to the beach and provided our family with hours of joy.
All in all a wonderful experience - we can't wait to go back. -

Excellent service in every way!!. The apartment was lovely and functional, we were four adults and two children. I can really recomend to stay in the groundfloor apartments if you have children, they can play in the areas around or at the beach. We liked that the location was very calm, walkingdistance to some restaurants and a few shops. Easy to get to nearby beaches by taxi. We had two fantastic and relaxing weeks at Leora!

We ve just returned from our 2 weeks vacation in Leora and we had a fantastic family time! The location is perfect and service and hospitality is top notch. The apartments is fully equipped with all you need and the cleanliness is flourish.
Our special thanx goes to Jeff The Concierge for all the incredible excursions he organized for us. We tested almost everything that Mauritius has to offer. Jeff went his way to make us feel at home making regularly courtesy calls, visits and numerous errands not forgetting the mouth watering Mauritian dinner he prepared for us.
Special thanx also goes to Sebastian, Elode, Marika, Nicholas, Winsely, Christine and all the other staff for their kindness and for making us feel at home in all aspects. I would recommend booking direct with Horizon for best service. I experienced a hitch during my initial bookings with an agent but Horizon were very compassionate and went an extra mile to compensate and accommodate us.
We really look forward to returning to Mauritius and staying in their sister property Paradise Beach in the West. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone. -

Our first stay at Leora Beachfront apartments. We came across this place by way of Tripadvisor and we have found our new top favourite in Mauritius. This was our third trip to Mauritius and we have been to a few different hotels. I must say, this beats a hotel any day. The freedom to do and eat what you like when you like.
Winsley the manager was excellent and always at our service helping us. Geoff the activity planner helped with excursions etc. and this was all planned in the comfort of our outdoor sitting area. The maids service was top notch and they realy made life easy for us by doing a thorough cleaning job every day.
Facilities in the apartment is unparallelled by anything I have ever seen in my extensive travels around the world. Even a dishwasher in the kitchen. You name it, it is there. There simply is no justification for me to not return here when we return to Mauritius for our next holiday.
Only one slightly negative thing I thought could have been made a bit more clear on the website. The beach is nice but the sea in front of the appartments are not realy safe to swim in. It is littered with sea urchins and I did not allow the kids in the water there. We rather took them on snorkeling excursions, but that comes at a price.Response from Horizon Holidays - 07/29/2012

Horizon Holidays manages several beachfront properties on the island, similar to Leora so should you want to enjoy a better beach, I could recommend "Cap Ouest" launching in August 2013 in Wolmar near Flic en Flac...(Actually it is right next to La Pirogue Hotel) Otherwise Paradise Beach in Pointe d'Esny has arguably the best beach and swimming on the island...

We stayed 15 days in Leora. We really appreciated the Professionalism, the efficiency, the availability and the kindness of the team in Leora. We were looking for a place close to the beach, with a pool (great when you have a 3 years old child), outside of big hotels allowing contact with local people and Mauritian culture. We got everything and even more... The team in Leora helped us (I should say organized for us) for the activities we were interested in like swimming with dolphins, one day on a Catamaran, rent a car...
The flat was beautiful, clean, quiet, offering a dreamful view on the ocean. The BBQ on the balcony was the "cherry on the top of the cake"!
For the people who hesitate to rent a car, I have to mention that it is quite a challenge to drive there at the beginning but you get use to the local rules very quickly. Otherwise, a taxi can drive you everywhere you wanna go or the public transportation are working very well (taking the bus in Mauritius is also an experience that I would recommend).
I would also recommend this side of the island in winter because there is 1 additional hour of sun per day compare to the other side.Response from Horizon Holidays - 07/29/2012

They often say, "The West is Best" and in this case it is true, having an extra hour of sun is a real gift when you are on holiday. It matters even more in the winter months of June to September...

We had a fantastic stay in Leora-Beach-Penthouse. The Location is really great, best Penthouse with best comfort. The view over the indian-ocean is just amazing. All what you need is here. The kitchen is fully equipped and the living room there is a complete entertainment system. The terrace offers a fantastic view of the sunset. The staff are angels. In particular, Fathima, she was always very friendly and cheerful. She is the best housekeeper, which you can imagine. Thank you for this! The garden and the pool make for a nice time in relaxede Leora Beach. In the area there are plenty of supermarkets and bakeries for breakfast and evening barbecues (Weber BBQ on the balcony). If you want to see more of the island, a rental car is advantageous. The concierge, Yoan is a fantastic organizer who has many good ideas and read your every desire on the lips. Also many thanks to you Yoan!

We stayed in the beachfront appartment with our 3 children. The appartment is very well equipped, clean and spacious (we felt that we were much better off there than in any hotel suite of a *** star hotel with similar service, e.g. daily maid service, concierge, ...). We loved the location with its house reef where we went to snorkle, even with our 6 year old (better than in an aquarium!).
The facilities like pool and garden are well kept, it's quiet and relaxing. The staff is very, very friendly and forthcoming. Winsley, the manager was always available to help (i lost my drivers license...) and looking after us to make our stay unforgettable. -

As a family with young children, we loved the appartment. It was compact and had all the necessary bells and whistles to make the holiday special for all of us. The staff at Leora were very helpful and discreet. The pool area was a great meeting place for all the appartment occupants and the beach safe for the kids. A well situated location.

A wonderful relaxing holiday for any age group. Friendly staff who have paid a lot of attention to detail! Spectacular view and location. We went swimming with dolphins,scuba diving, ziplining at Casela bird park,dined on scrumptious seafood at local restaurants. The apartment is very modern and comfortable. Highly recommended!

Our stay for 7 nights were wonderful, however the experience was quickly turned into an unforgettable lack of customer service from the so called Operations Manager. We are a group of 30 people planning to return in 2012 and wanted the opportunity to return to Leora. You would think they would be interested in such a huge booking, but not so! We made a total of 12 phone calls to the Operations Manager, all without him returning one of these phone calls. This was preceeded by total misleading information in an original quote provided to us. I am not sure how Leora does business with foreign visitors; as we are used to at least a small degree of customer service and courtesy.

Immaculate living space with a veranda overlooking the infinity pool and dolphins swimming past most days.Sebastian and his team stopped at nothing to make our holiday a success .Local supermarkets well stocked with local fruit and veg and Eastern Trading just down the road to supply you with the best wines from France at realistic prices.Try their bikini rose from Provence.Golf ,swimming with dolphins and all water sports easily organised by the management.Take a trip to the beaches at Le Mourne for picture postcard perfection or go and visit their other apartments in Point D'esny Paradise Beach.
Enjoy ! We are coming back with friends next year. -

This a brand new, well-designed, impeccably maintained apartment complex with excellent service. We stayed here with three young children who loved the pool and the tide pools along the beach. The staff are very friendly and helpful, booking was easy, and the price is very reasonable for the quality.
