This two-story luxury condo located on the sixth and seventh floors of the elegant Matapalo complex has the light floating feeling of being in a dream. Cream-colored tile floors with round-pebble detail span both levels, spilling out of glass doors onto patios that lead into thin air. The breathtaking view gives such a sensation of flying that you will find yourself reaching out for something to hold on to. Below your feet lies an exotic tropical garden that surrounds the pool. In the near distance, Tamarindo beach, lined by royal palms stretches to meet the La Baula Estuary and National Park. The scene fades away in the distance as sky and s...ea melt into a kaleidoscope of clouds.

On the first level there is a fully equipped state-of-the-art kitchen with beautiful granite counter tops that adjoins the living area. Efficiently compact and practical, the kitchen includes a flattop electric stove, oven, large double-door refrigerator with an ice dispenser, a dishwasher and all the necessary items to create and enjoy your favorite meals. A small and comfortable washroom is located between the kitchen and the main door.

Arched doorways with classic columns lead from the main living area to two bedrooms located on this lower level. Each room is flooded with natural light, has spacious closets and its own private bath. The bedroom located on the front side of the building has two sets of sliding glass doors; one leading to the common terrace and another that opens onto a private patio and a panoramic birds-eye-view. The bedroom on the other side has large windows that survey the rolling hills and coastline to the south.

But the most spectacular part of this space is still to come. In the living area a stone staircase spirals up to a second level of true luxury. The height is dizzying and the large windows and glass doors give the feeling of having stepped into the sky instead of a penthouse suite. From the ample balcony where the Jacuzzi bubbles, the earth has faded away and you are left only with the sea stretching into infinity, the sound of waves, the brush of the wind.

This is a master bedroom from fairytales. In addition to a delightful king sized bed, there is an enormous walk-in closet and a spacious bathroom equipped for two. A generous living area and a small kitchen with every convenience of the larger kitchen below makes it seem unnecessary to leave the beauty of this private haven for even a minute.

An enormous swimming pool of organic design is the center of the garden area and boasts a swim up bar which you won̢۪t want to miss. Across the street an oceanfront restaurant is preparing tropical delicacies to add sweetness and spice to the memories you will carry with you for a lifetime.

  I don't know where to start, but since I booked this rental with RPM, I'll start there. The staff was responsive, helpful, and friendly. Lola was great to deal with and very accomodating. From making excursion bookings and airport transfers, I couldn't have asked for any more. The level of service was just great. Lola even stocked the fridge for us with a few items upon request. Natalia was also very helpful.
  As for the condo, the pictures don't really do it justice. We rented all 3 bedrooms for ourselves and two girls (8 & 10) and my parents joined us for part of the trip. It was spectacular! Modern, well appointed, and extremely comfortable. The patio (there are 2 if you get the upper unit also) was just fantastic. An amazing view of the resort pool and the ocean where you could see the surfers all day. And it is in shade most of the day. The condo location adjacent to the Diria Hotel, which we had acess
  to was ideal. There were a ton of great restaurants just steps away including memorable meals at Longboard BBQ, Carolina's, La Baula, Flying Bull and many more. Having the condo allowed us to make breakfasts and just have more room. The owner's have done a great job in furnishing this place.
  What also made it memorable is the friendly nature of the locals. We felt very safe walking around town with the kids even at night-just watch your step on the sidewalks. Speaking of friendly locals-when booking excursions (Buena Vista and Palo Verde were best) make sure you request Olman (Sosa) or Jose (Negro). These guys "made" our trip. Olman picked us up at the airport and is the type of guide that can really make a good trip into a great one. These guys know the tours inside an out and can really keep you away from the crowds and ensure some special things like feeding white faced monkeys or crocs! Just really nice people who seem to genuinely want people to enjoy what Costa Rica has to offer.
  Only things I would suggest is that the condo description should say "nearby fitness" as there didn't seem to be a fitness facility in the condo or the Diria. Also, it would be nice to have a lounge chair on the deck for reading/naps. We were there for 10 days and had to get our gate keys re-set at least 3 times, but it seems it was happening to everyone.
  This condo is a true gem and we're already planning our next trip. If you go, make sure you go for sunsets on the beach.

  Great locations to experience Tamarindo. Liked the choice of pools and also the Diria Hotel membership. We used this part every day across the street. It was exactly as described. Lots of space for 6 or more people.

  The condo was in an excellent location in Tamarindo - just cross the pool area and we were on the Diria property with fabulous outdoor dining area and the beach. The condo was spacious, clean and very attractively decorated. Great place to stay!
