The stove had not been cleaned, there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher, the floors were not clean, the bathrooms were not clean, the gounds needed some attention but overall pretty. There were nasty pans in the oven that never got touched before or after cleaning. The spas in the pool did not function, one of the bathroom sinks was broken. They leave to many lights on outside at night so we had to cover our bedroom windows with towels to get close to darkness. The sheets did not smell clean until after the cleaning service came. Wi-Fi was nice to have and necessary being that the girls in the office were worthless for planning out adventures, one of them could not stop texting on her phone for more 2 minutes to talk to us. It was very nice to have the grill and full kitchen complete with spices, just sucked to have to clean it before I could use it. The garden showers were cool but the landscape needed much work and the glass above was broken and very dirty. The termits left a pile of chips for us everyday in the bathrooms, nice. The wide screen TV and DVD player was a nice touch and so was the washer and dryer. The rooms were spacious and quiet during the time we were there, we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Would never do Costa Rica without my own rental 4x4 and GPS, don't listen to your travel agents they do not know what they are talking about. There are better properties for the same or less money in the area.

Unfortunately, my maid service did not do the usual touch up cleaning the day before your arrival. The few problems identified were quickly fixed by the maid once she was notified about them . Spent two weeks in La Esquina condo, just my husband and I. The condo is lovely. Took some time getting use to the outside garden shower, although it is totally private, but then when we were leaving I knew I would miss it. The condo is well equipped and luxurious. The pool right outside the sliding doors is lovely, but be careful not to lock yourself out on the patio, which we did and turned out to be a hillarious escapade. The pool boy and security guard were very helpful though. I would highly recommend this condo, it is just a nice distance from town (15 minute walk) and the people in the area and the property management are so lovely and helpful. We will be back.
