Denver, ColoradoPerfect accommodations and Wonderful Service!
Left on 05/22/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Our stay at Ibis 10 was a wonderful experience. From the top-notch condo to the convenient beach club and easy access to the beach, we loved every aspect of our stay. My husband and I have been to Tamarindo before and specifically chose this condo because of the amenities including the beach club and stellar location between Tamarindo Beach and Langosta Beach - easy walking distance to town and surf breaks, and just a few steps to the best beach for kids. We brought our 1 year old and traveled with two other couples, one of which had a 7 month old. This property was unbelievably great for our little ones. The open concept and layout of the condo are very helpful when you are trying to prepare a meal and keep an eye on the kids. In addition, having access to the beach club was one of the highlights of our trip, since we used the pool everyday and enjoyed the wonderful service from the bar/restaurant. Our son enjoyed the howler monkeys right outside our bedroom balcony, which has a beautiful view of the Tamarindo Preserve.
The icing on the cake for us was the wonderful service Bob, the property manager, provided. From the very first email, he was extremely prompt and helpful in answering my slew of questions. He arranged transportation for us to and from the airport and was easily accessible during our entire stay. We will definitely be back! -

Austin, TexasBest family vacation, just great
Left on 03/23/2013 for a stay in March 2013
We recently stayed in the Ibis penthouse for a 2 week family vacation. We loved the penthouse, very luxurious and was just perfect for our extended family. The staff on the property grounds and Bob and Veronica were excellent hosts and very helpful. Bob recommended the best tours, restaurants and activities and we were very pleased with each...reasonable prices and family oriented. Also, Bob scheduled the airport shuttles which were reliable and reasonably priced. Bob took us to the supermarket a few times, which we really appreciated since we did not have a rental car.
We just loved the Langosta Beach Club and spent most of our time there when we weren't doing some activity. It's very casual and relaxing, but also elegant...way above the other beach clubs in the area. And the food was some of the best I've ever had. My favorites were the champagne filet of sole and the filet mignon with portabello sauce. The food leans towards French cuisine, but they also have outstanding burgers and fries. The staff is a mix of French ex-pats and local Costa Ricans and we found them very warm and accomodating.
All in all, a great vacation for us and we highly recommend the Ibis condos, and especially Bob and Veronica. -

Chicago, IllinoisAbsolutely Fantastic!
Left on 11/05/2012 for a stay in October 2012
My wife and I stayed with five friends at the condo right at the end of the rainy season (last week of October/first few days of November). The condo had plenty of room for all of our guests. Plenty! The kitchen area is modern and spacious and we were able to cook breakfasts and dinners for the group with no issues. It comes complete with all the pots and pans that you need including a nice grill. All our guests had their own bathrooms and bedrooms which were clean and modern. One of our guests stayed in the living room which has a couch that folds out to a bed. And all the bedrooms also had their own tvs. The beds were comfortable and there was tons of closet space too.
The staff is great. Super friendly and accommodating. They helped with carrying our luggage and groceries when ever we needed. There is some one on staff 24hrs and we felt 100% safe.
We had full access to the Langusta Beach Club which was a great bonus. The beach is right across the street. Maybe a 2 min walk from the front door to the beach. For the workout fanatic (that would be me) the beach club has a nice workout room with all the weights you need for a full workout and they also have a yoga studio. I never tried their yoga but the weight room was great. If you need to get your workouts in during your vacation like I do, this will suit you just fine.
Bob was great and helpful too. All his recommendations were spot on; from where to eat to which tours to take. He didn't fail us once! Trust his suggestions, we did and we were happy with them.
Just a quick note, my wife and I went to Costa Rica with the sole purpose to get married on the beach. We had our beach wedding right on the beach at the Langusta Beach Club. It was picture perfect! The food was amazing at the beach club, the staff was very friendly and the scenery just amazing. If you're thinking about getting married, this is a great place.
Lastly, all of the staff spoke some English to perfect, fluent american English. You will not have any difficulties communicating. Tamarindo is English speaking as well, from the servers to the bartenders to shop keepers to tour guides.
I will highly recommend this condo to my friends back home in Chicago and will not hesitate to come back. It's clean, spacious and modern. Staff friendly and English speaking. Bob is very accommodating and has great suggestions for activities. Langusta Beach Club has great food, nice beach, and friendly staff which made it a value deal and a great bonus. Tamarindo itself is cozy, friendly with plenty to do and eat and everyone speaks English.
Don't hesitate to stay there. -

Milwaukee, WIFabulous Wedding Week in Costa Rica
Left on 11/04/2012 for a stay in October 2012
We came in for a destination wedding for the last week of the rainy season/first week of the summer season. We luckily had fabulous weather. This condo was absolutely perfect for 3 couples. The nature reserve behind the condo is breathtaking and you can hear howler monkeys regularly. The condo is across the street from the Langosta Beach club, which was so easy to access and use all of their services: the pool, cabanas, bar, restaurant, beach front area, lounge chairs, fitness room, etc as a part of staying at the Ibis. Our friend's was wedding right there on the beach and the people at the Langosta Beach Club worked with the wedding planner to make it perfect. The condo itself was gorgeous, the housekeeping and bellmen were very responsive to our needs (including keeping an eye on our rental car), and Bob went far above and beyond to ensure we had a fabulous experience. He took us grocery shopping the first day, booked all of our tours with reputable companies, gave us good restaurant recommendations, and helped with the last minute details of the wedding (including securing our wedding officiant with 48 hours notice!). He had great knowledge about who we should use for a in-home personal chef (Bathsheba) one night and for the wedding planner (Martina). We found the concierge and the other staff at the Langosta Beach Club (Maggie and Olivier) to be welcoming and eager to make this a trip of a lifetime. This condo itself is beautiful and comfortable, but what made it truly worthwhile is the access to the Langosta Beach Club and everything that Bob provided to us throughout the week. The road is bumpy in front of the condo, but as we found out that is part of being in Costa Rica. It was easy to walk to town either via the road or the beach. It was truly a phenomenal location and experience, and in no small part due to the people who helped make it happen during the week.
In order to help others with setting expectations when booking this condo, we do have a few things that should be mentioned. We did have some plumbing issues with one of the showers, but Bob got a plumber there within a couple of hours to fix it. The street can be a bit noisy in front of the condo when trucks roll down the road. Our shuttle driver from the Liberia airport wasn't aware of the Ibis condos location (there are no addresses to give), but luckily we could direct him to the Langosta Beach Club and easily find it across the street. The dishwasher sometimes didn't dispense all the soap and wash the dishes all that well. The floors are gorgeous, but can be a bit slick. All of the doors throughout the condo can be opened for indoor/outdoor living, but this also means that the bugs can get in and out more easily than a traditional home. This is a condo and not a hotel, so we only had housekeeping come in once to do our sheets and towels mid-week, which was fine by us. There were extra sheets, towels, and blankets available for us if we needed them. Plus, there was a washer and dryer available to us. Housekeeping picked up trash for us that we left outside our door regularly, though. For us, being able to prep some of our own meals and have a large living space for all of us to spend time together was completely worth it to us. We would love to come back. -

London, United KingdomThe Property is Beautiful and If Small Tweaks are Made Will Rate
Left on 08/24/2012 for a stay in August 2012
The appartment is huge and it was so lovely for the family all to have their own bedrooms and bathrooms. The photos on Trip advisor are accurate, fixtures and fittings are of high quality. Bob was a gracious host and assisted with booking trips, restaurants, tennis courts etc ensuring that our time in CR was enjoyable and that we only used reputable firms. The beach club and small fitness centre was a lovely addition and staffed by incredibly helpful personnel. Make sure you take plenty of insect repellent, this is afterall a tropical country, you are beside the jungle and you may be woken by monkeys howling!
On the downside, the property is on an unmade raod and, as we went at the beginning of the rainy season, at times became a little messy. Waliking into town in the day was fine, but not possible at night. That said the most we paid for a cab was 5 dollars so that to us was not an issue and in a way it was nice to be a little removed from the main centre. I was disappointed with the maid service. On day 4, we still had not seen a maid and as I had a gekko in my bed the night before I asked for the bedding to be changed, this did not happen atall and the next day I had to go looking for a maid to get rubbish bins emptied and towels changed. This is supposed to be penthouse and hence a thorough maid service one a week is a prerequisite not a "nice to have". Additionaly, towels are looking old and no longer white, i suggest they are replaced. -

Located directly across from the Langosta Beach Club, this lovely condo was the perfect location to access the amenities of the club where we received incredibly warm and friendly service and great food! The condo was spacious and very clean, and managers Bob and Veronica made sure all our needs were met. Waking up each morning listening to the birds and monkeys and watching the sun rise over the Conservancy from our bedroom deck was a treat! Our days were spent relaxing by the pool, lounging in the cabana and taking walks on the beach. Less than a 10 minute walk to the town of Tamarindo and many great restaurants and shops, it was the perfect location to explore the area. We enjoyed surfing lessons, a catamaran excursion, as well as an all-day adventure to the Rincon de la Vieja Nat'l Park where we experienced zip-lining, mud baths and hot springs, horseback riding and the exhilarating water slide, accompanied by a delicious Costa Rican lunch! Suggested restaurants include Cala Luna, Nibanna and the Langosta Beach Club, and if you're looking for great fish/shrimp tacos or breakfast burritos, try Kahiki's which is right down the road from the condo. We highly recommend the Penthouse at the Beach Club for your next vacation... you will not be disappointed!!

We celebrated my husbands 60 th birthday with our family, first vacation with family in a long time. We loved ibis #10. The condo was perfect, lots of room, and really beautiful. The beach club was awesome !! So private, we had the place pretty much to ourselves. The service was great. Very friendly. Bob Wilson arranged all of the activities we wanted to do, took us to the grocery store. You can walk to town and the restaurants were really good.
We had great weather, only rained at night, monkies were awesome, lots of great photo taking. A great place for 3 couples too. -

My family and I stayed here to celebrate my birthday. There were 6 of us and the condo was perfect. The pictures barely do it justice. The appliances and finishes are top of the line. The beds and bedding were so comfortable. There is nothing like looking out your bedroom window and seeing the lush estuary. We slept w/our curtains open each night to enjoy the lightening shows. ;-) The living space is perfect and the outside living space is huge. We grilled a few nights which was great. Only when you saw the monkeys outside the window did you realize "Oh wait I'm in Costa Rica". It was the best of both worlds, the comforts of home in an exotic locale. It was a 2 minute walk to the closest restaurant and a 7 minute walk to town. The beach is right across the street!!! Bob and Veronica made our stay so easy. Veronica took us to the grocery store the first night so we could stock up. Bob made all of our outing arrangements. We never worried about anything. Everything Bob arranged was fantastic. We will for sure return to Costa Rica and will rent the same condo. Bob and Veronica thank you for helping us to have an fantastic stay in Tamarindo

Dallas, TexasThe condo was everything that we had hoped for and more!

Our family just returned from a lovely week in Tamarindo,Costa Rica staying at the Ibis Penthouse. The place was just as beautiful as pictured. The owner, Bob Wilson, contacted me personally via phone as a response to my email and was more than accomodating from my initial contact until the day we left. He also booked a shuttle for us that picked us up at the airport. The condo was gated with a guard 24/7 and the staff was warm, friendly and took great care of us. I was there with my two sons and their families and we each had our own room and private bath. They even provided a port-a-crib and high chair for our little one. The condo was spacious, had a lovely large patio complete with hot tub and grill. The condo had a large screen TV (which we didn't use very much as we were having such a great time doing other things) and they had internet access. Right across the street was the Beach Club where we had access to a lovely pool, restaurant, bar, workout room, option of work out classes and it was right on the beach. From the beach side, it was a short walk into the little town. Through the Beach Club you could book tours or any activity that you would want to do; everything from a spa treatment (which we did and it was fabulous), surfing lessons, zip lines, wildlife tour, volcanoes etc. etc. We had a wonderful week as a family at the Ibis.
