Casa Gecko provides a hidden, private paradise with the perfect location being located right in the center of Tamarindo while being just seconds away from the beach. Everything you need is just a short walk away, including: the beautiful beach, great restaurants, shopping and all the best surf spots.
It is the perfect get away for a couple, has a complete kitchen, living room, master bedroom with a king size bed, master bathroom, outdoor rancho with BBQ and pool. While still enjoying A/C, hot water, flat screen TV, DVD, CD player, laundry service and maid service.

I stayed at Casa Gecko for 4 weeks this past March and april. The condo is very spacious, nicely decorated, very clean (place, sheets, towels, etc), and it has everything you need for a short or a longer stay and the service is very reliable. There is a common laundry, pool, BBQ and yard and a nightly guard. You will be about 100 yards from playa Tamarindo!
There is a friendly bar next door which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is a great location, close to everything (grocery, Saturday farmer's market, coffee shops, pilates, yoga, surf shops, Spanish school, restaurants, ...) yet not in the middle of them.
The owners are very nice. They are available if you have any requests and they make sure your requests are addressed. I highly recommend this condo. -

My husband and I recently stayed at Casa Gecko for our honeymoon. The location was perfect, just a block from the beach and Tamarindo circle and having our own pool to relax beside offered us privacy when we wanted it. The manager, Megan was fabulous! She had answers to all of our questions and was always willing to help! In fact all of the staff were quite lovely. The Condo itself was beautiful and always clean! This was a great place to stay and we would come back again in a heart beat!

The property itself is absolutely great to stay at. In terms of location, it is literally a block away from the beach. It is close to everything. There is a market right down the street which is ideal for cooking and picking up little snacks. The best part about this place is that the best restaurant in Tamarindo is literally right outside our door... and you do not have to bother about it being a hit/miss. I think we ate there everyday for at least one meal. The amenities are great! There is an iPod/Phone dock alarm clock which was great. Air conditioning kept the place relatively cool a long with 2 ceiling fans. It was spotless clean when we arrived and there is housekeeping that I would have bought back to NYC just to have her on a recurring basis. Wi-fi on the grounds and a us landline for no additional charge was a nice add-on. There is a pool right in front of your door (I almost fell into while drunkingly returning from the beach one night) There are beach towels for your use, a great amenity with the beach right there.
I think the greatest part of the property what made our trip so special was the owner Megan K. She was extremely professional and friendly from the moment I inquired about the place. When we arrived, she was waiting for us at the property with the key. She recommended the best aTV tour not too far from town as well as a party boat. Extremely familiar with Tamarindo. She also referred me to Iguana Surf where I learned how to surf, and she even handpicked the instructor who had me riding waves in 10 minutes.
When we return to Tamarindo, there is no doubt in my mind, that will we be staying here. Thank you for everything Megan! -

My boyfriend and I just stayed here last week and it is perfect for two people. We absolutely loved the condo. It's very spacious, well decorated, immaculately clean and very comfortable. The pool is steps outside along with the BBQ as well as Kahiki Restaurant that has great food (breakfast burrito!) and sports (Lakers playoffs!). This spot is a 5 minute walk to the beach and around all of the restaurants and shops. After roughing it in Monteverde and arenal the king size bed, A/C, flat screen TV and other amenities were so nice. Megan was very cool and we'd definitely come back.

I rent Casa Gecko for 2 weeks. From the minute I contacted Meagan for a last min reservation the service was great. When I arrived I was surprised how much better the apartment is than it looks online. The studio is spacious and well decorated and feels like home. There were even some small kitchen items supplied that made it easier to just move it. The pool is right outside the door and the patio and BBQ along with hammock were perfect. A small grocery store is a 3 min walk. Being on the edge of town turned out to be the perfect spot to avoid the noise of the bar scene and it was only a 3 min walk to a less occupied beach. Meagan and her staff made my stay in Tamarindo a very comfortable one. And although there are possibly less expensive places to stay, Casa Gecko had everything. A complete no worry place to stay.

We stayed here in January 2012 and were overwhelmed with the beauty and serenity at this condo. The moment you arrive you are relaxed and carefree. The condo had everything we needed with great attention to detail of making the guest feel comfortable. Outside we could see the monkeys right in our backyard and enjoy the peacefulness of Costa Rica. We only had to walk a little way out of our condo area to find stores, and great food. Recommend for sure!!

My husband & I stayed at the Condo for our Honeymoon in Jan of 2007. It was wonderful. The condo was clean, comfy, and a perfect place to spend our honeymoon. It has a full kitchen if you want to stay in cook. The glass shower is pretty neat, too.
The private pool was awesome. We spent many hours there. It is just a short walk to a grocery store so we stocked up on drinks and snacks. We walked to the beach everyday--just a block walk. Walked the beach and found places to stop and eat & drink. With the resturant & bar right next door, we were never far from food or drink.
The staff is amazing! It was very easy to book an adventure outing at Iguana Surf (right next door) and to rent surf boards. Everyone should try to a surf lesson.
Thanks Chad & Devon for being great owners of such a wonderful place! We can't wait to come back. -

Nicely furnished, very comfortable bed. Nice kitchen for staying home for eating and entertaining. Great patio and pool area. Also close to a great restaurant literally next door!
