Puesta del Sol is a nicely furnished 3 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom with just a short walk to Langosta Beach. This home includes, full custom kitchen, gas grill, cable-TV, high speed internet, and A/C. Sleeps a maximum 8 people.

Close to the beach in Playa Langosta and a mile from the center of Tamarindo, Puesta del Sol is the luxurious answer to your vacation dreams.

Entry is through a large metal gate. Inside the gate you will find plenty of parking, a garage, and small yard. Around back, you will find a large yard, patio area, and pool. The entire property is enclosed by high walls on three sides and a tall lush hedge along the back g...iving one a sense of complete privacy and seclusion.

The house is Hacienda style and “L” shaped. On one leg of the “L” are two bedrooms that open onto the patio and pool. Each bedroom has its own bath and shower. On the other leg of the “L” is a large living, dining, and kitchen area that also opens to the pool and patio. Upstairs is a large master bedroom and bath that overlooks the pool. The bath is beautifully done with marble counter tops and inlaid sinks.

The house is wonderfully decorated and fully equipped with all the amenities you would expect in a luxury rental, including TVs, DVD, stereo, washer and dryer, and fully equipped kitchen.

Less than a minute’s walk to Langosta Beach, you’re also just steps away from a small grocery store, three good restaurants, and a small internet cafe. Only a mile and change from the center of Tamarindo, it’s an easy 20 minute walk to town. Langosta is a great place to surf and swim at the mouth of the estuary. Cross the estuary and you’re on one of the most pristine beaches in Costa Rica.

  The house is as shown in photos. The kitchen is fully equipped--everything we needed. Bedrooms are large with high ceilings. Very clean and RPM was more than helpful with whatever we needed. Very secure location--we were just 2 ladies and felt very safe with the secure gates and privacy. Location is nice...very short walk to the beach and a small market just at the end of the road. Not much in terms of restaurants in walking distance, so we were glad to have a rental car. The drive to Tamarindo for shopping and dining is very short-very bumpy roads though. I guess you could walk, but it would be difficult to haul groceries on foot, and walking at night may be a bit daunting. The outdoor area and pool were really nice...we spent lots of time there. The furniture is a bit worn and some stains on rugs, but I'm not too picky about that stuff. Others may find it unpleasant. Just a small thing, but there was no radio in the house. Would have been nice to have a little something to listen to out by the pool. Go down the road to Hotel Capitan Suizo for happy hour or a meal. The grounds are gorgeous and they have monkeys that will let you hold them. Nibbana is great for seafood, and pizza at Las Baulas is not to be missed. Bamboo Sushi was better than expected, too.

  Sheri - thanks for the great review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for the suggestion of a radio - we will pass it on to the owners. Unfortunately, a lot of times, those things break easily or don't last long in units. But it's a great idea! I will have the maid check on the stains and wee what we can do.   Muy buena atención por parte del personal de RPM. La solución a un pequeño problema (la refrigeradora se descompuso) lo solucionaron rápidamente. Buen servicio de limpieza.
  Como aspectos a considerar son: el cloro de la piscina es muy fuerte y me descoloró los highligths de mi cabello y la independencia de las dos habitación en relación con la casa.

  Loved the house, spacious with open feeling, very private, pool was a great addition. 2 bdrms accessible from backyard only. The walk to town by beach is 30-40 min. Walking on the road was too dusty and hot to even consider. Uncomfortable drive too, roads not paved and very pitted. The beach access to Playa Langosta is easy to get to, but large rocks and limited swimming area. Just north is better for swimming and surfing at Playa Tamarindo.

  Wish the pool had been a bit cleaner, you had to skim it every hour or so because the pump doesn't run very often. Mmaintenance shouldn't come in the middle of the afternoon to clean it, when there are only a few hours of sunlight left. Also, they should schedule housekeeping. Twice we had people try to open bedroom doors because we didn't know when they were coming to clean. Otherwise, no complaints. The house was gorgeous, very well-furnished and clean. A few ants, but it's Costa Rica, what do you expect?

  There were some small leaks in a hard rain. Some of the roof tiles need to be replaced. There were no disappointments in the way the house looked. It was better than the pictures.

  our stay at puseta del sol waas very nice. the olny issue we had was that the phone did not make outgoing long distance call, not even on a phone card, or collect. this was very frustrationg and the mamangment could not help us. other than that overall it was a great time.

  The house was very tastefully decorated and was constructed with very high end materials. The design was very conducive to keeping the family together in common areas. The kitchen, living room and dining room all being one large room kept us all involved in the cooking and relaxing. The staff at RPM was very helpful and friendly. They had great insight and gave you advise from the "locals" point of view which was what we were looking for. Thank you guys for contributing to our great vacation.

  We hit the fishing "just right"!

  My 18 year old son, a friend of his and his friend's dad and I made this venture. The 4 of us had never traveled together and were looking for a real guys adventure. Between the excellent tuna fishing the first trip out and my son hooking up with a 350 LB. Marlin on the second trip, we couldn't have been more pleased. In addition, we experienced a rodeo, like no other, with beer in hand spectators in the bull ring harassing the bulls! There are plenty of activities in Tamarindo, so go enjoy yourself.
