  This was a good home base for exploring the Tamarindo area. The condo is spacious and the ocean front views are great. It came equipped with everything we needed.
  
  A few challenges: Unless you have a car, the location is somehwat isolated. The mud and rutted roads make it hard to walk to town -- and it is quite a distance. The television in the upstairs bedroom was not working and could not be fixed. The clothes dryer was making a horrible noise and eventually quit working altogether -- and could not be fixed. We could not use the dishwasher because there was no detergent or hot water in the kitchen. On weekdays, a maid would arrive every morning and be in the condo for hours -- not much chance for privacy or quiet time while she was there.
