Casa Ix Chel - A Tamarindo Family/Large Group Vacation Home
We run a special of $ 1300 per week only for the house and Easter week not included.
Step through the gates of Casa Ix Chel and you'll find yourself in a tropical garden containing many species of tropical flowers and fruit trees including coconuts, bananas, papayas and lemons. Walk up the path to the home and you will find the swimming pool, which has a shallow section designed for lounging submerged, and the outdoor eating area, surrounded by palms and bougainvillea.

We rented Casa Ix Chel for 6 days to house 9 people, including children ranging from 2 to 8 years old. The house was a perfect size for our group, offered plenty of privacy for each family, and great areas for everyone to be together. Everything was clean and in good repair.
The grounds were lush and well maintained. The property includes a bbq area, outdoor shower, and a very nice pool, ideal for use in the evenings and when the kids were too hot or tired to go the beach.
It should be noted that there are two small casitas on the property that are rented out separately. The individuals who were living in there at the time were very polite and kept to themselves. I would not recommend the house to individuals in wheelchairs, as there are steps to access everything.
The house is on a quiet street, a comfortable 10 minute walk from town and the beach. Renting bicycles makes the trip quicker and more bearable in the heat of the day. -

We thought the house was beautiful and spacious. The pool and outdoor grill were great. Main problems were dogs hanging around the house and workers going in and out of our "private pool" area - always lookin gin the house as they went by. Apparently their work station was behind our house. The house is farther from the beach than the listing leads you to believe, but we loved the area and town of Tamarindo and truly could walk to everything.

We will try to coordinate with future guests to have the workers clean the pool and garden when the house guests are out. No one can see in any of the bedrooms from the outside.

It's kind of hard to get to the house during the rain season because of the streets. The rest was fine! -

The place is really nice, is very well located and the environment is chill. Excellent place to stay and relax,... nice pool, kitchen, good to have bbqs with friends and clean and comfortable rooms... I would recommend Casa Ix Chel to anyone who wants to rest and enjoy perfect vacations!

My family & I stayed in Costa Rica for Spring Break 2010. We rented a house from Hidden Coast Realty and stayed in Tamarindo. The house was great, kitchen was awesome although we didn't use it that much-ate out alot! And the kids loved the pool!!

Our experience with Casa Ix Chel was absolutely amazing. This house was perfect for our group of twelve. Everyone we met through renting this house were always helpful and courteous to us. Our entire group dreams of being there again. Its a short walk to the beach and to nightlife which meant no rental cars. We are definately coming back in the next year or two. Say Hello to frosty and rufus : )
