49022Best lodging and location
Left on 05/07/2012 for a stay in May 2012
Best place to stay. You have the tranquility of being on a deserted beach, but with safety and happening nightlife and restaurants very nearby! I travelled with my family and sister in law and stayed here for a week. Highlights: great pool, across the street from the beach, only noise at night may be a few friendly monkeys, but close enough to walk to bars. We had no car and never was it an issue. I loved walking on the beach to the store and to dinner and breakfast every day. Having a full fridge and kitchen was great for when we wanted to cook, like after our deep sea fishing trip. The management company could not have been any more helpful, lining up trips, drivers, even offering to make dinner reservations since my spanish is rusty. I could not imagine a better place to stay. We had everything we needed, even candles for the night the power went out. I felt very safe having a guard on duty, but never even felt unsafe at night in Tamarindo. We have all travelled extensively, be it cruises or all inclusives, but we all agreed this was the best way to travel. We felt immersed in the culture of Costa Rica, but still had all the comforts of home. I really hope we can return soon!

Summit, NJPura Vida in Casa Fandango at Casablanca
Left on 08/19/2011 for a stay in May 2011
My husband and I got married in the states and then went to stay at Casa Fandango in Casablanca for our week-long honeymoon. Everything about Tamarindo and the Wilkin's home far surpassed our expectations - the location could not have been more perfect, walking distance from the beach/stores/restaurants (but yet enough distance from town to be secluded & private)and the home itself was an oasis for us, between the welcoming rooms, Suzanne's unbelievable artwork, and of course the air conditioning! The Wilkin's also shared their "locals" recommendations with us so we could really enjoy a very special side of Tamarindo and nearby attractions. We really could not have asked for a better place to spend our honeymoon and will forever cherish the memories we have from our week in Tamarindo, staying at Casa Fandango.

Portland, ORAmazing place to stay!
Left on 08/18/2011 for a stay in April 2010
I've traveled all over the world and Casa Fandago was by far one of the best accommodations I've ever experienced! The location couldn't have been better, just steps from the beach! The house was immaculate and comfortable. Having the swimming pool made for a perfect little oasis and we were within walking distance of town. Tamarindo is a great little village with all the amenities needed including some wonderful places to eat. I look forward to going back in the very near future!

Casa Fandango is a lovely home filled with beautiful, original art. The location is superb with everything you need within walking distance. The beach is across the street and surfing lessons are available for all ages. Tamarindo is a friendly town with quaint restaurants serving delicious local fare. Make sure to catch the sunset at nearby Langosta.

Columbia, South CarolinaSlow down and enjoy the view!
Left on 08/18/2011 for a stay in July 2011
Visiting Costa Rica and staying at Casa Fandango was a life-changing experience. My family and I enjoyed every minute and didn't want to catch the plane home. We loved Casa Fandango's beautifully landscaped gardens, its pool and especially the upstairs loft where we could stay up all night talking like at summer camp. It was wonderful being able to walk across the street to the beaches, to stroll downtown to shop and try local foods at the numerous yummy restaurants, and to get to know the nicest helpers who maintained the Casablanca property. This might have been the happiest town I have ever visited. Folks really know how to slow down and enjoy life in Tamarindo. We definitely plan to visit again to re-capture that "pura vida" feeling!

Charleston SCAwesome Vacation!!!
Left on 08/18/2011 for a stay in September 2009
What an awesome place and cool experience for my wife and I.
The place is incredible and one of the best vacation spots in the world.
Surrounding restaurants are to die for and I live in Charleston SC, which is known for great food.
Besides the awesome food the surfing and excursions close by are about as cool as it gets. Head for the mountains or surf in some of the best surfing around the world.See Monkeys in the trees walk with inguanas.
This place is as good as it gets!!!
