Spectacularly located on the beach at Playa Tamarindo on the northwest coast of Costa Rica, Villa Cascada offers direct beach access with gorgeous beach and bay views, and is a convenient short walk from downtown Tamarindo's shops and restaurants.

Tropical gardens surround the tranquil courtyard and gallery as well as hosting the garden casita and dining palapa. A complete outside kitchen and bar overlook the ocean. The wet bar features its own pool. The recreational pool sits beachside and features a glass wall for protection from blowing sand. The lovely pool waterfall, the house's namesake, is reflected in several soothing water foun...tains and features throughout the villa.The open plan Great Room features ceramic floors, beamed ceilings, recessed lighting, tropical hardwood and rattan furniture, and opens to the long front gallery. The fully equipped kitchen with a granite eat-in bar is adjacent to the glass topped table, seating ten, in the dining room.

The main house also hosts entertainment areas, the master suite, 3 additional bedrooms, 3.5 additional baths. The master suite is located on the upper level and opens through floor-to-ceiling glass doors onto a private terrace, affording spectacular ocean views. This master suite offers a king sized bed, sitting area, dressing area, walk in closet, en-suite bathroom and outdoor shower.

All bedrooms feature en-suite bathrooms and are air conditioned. Two of the additional bedroom suites offer king sized beds and open onto the courtyard. One additional bedroom suite offers a queen sized bed.

The separate apartment features dining and living areas, a queen sized bed, private full bath, and an open shower with ocean views. The charming guest casita boasts a king bed, private full bath, and garden tropical shower with ocean view.?Nestled in its tropical gardens, this spacious beachside villa offers gracious outdoor living areas, spacious interior living, lovely ocean views, direct access to Tamarindo Beach, and is only a short walk from dining venues and shopping. Additional Location Information

Tamarindo beach, Guanacaste is the most accessible location along the northern Pacific Coast oh Costa Rica, with an airstrip serviced 7 days a week from San José by two airlines.
Private charter services are available as well.
There is also paved highway from San José for those who wish to rent a car and drive the countryside (4-5 hrs to Tamarindo).
The international airport in Liberia, Guanacaste is open to international flights from a variety of carriers. The airport is just 45 minute drive from Tamarindo.
Tamarindo Beach is part of a bay formed by a cape, Cabo Velas. Playa Grande lies to the north of Tamarindo Beach inside the bay. The two beaches are separated by a natural salt water estuary, Estero Tamarindo.
South of Tamarindo bay there is another beautiful estuary and beach, Playa Langosta, both Playa Grande and Playa Langosta are protected nesting areas for the giant leatherback turtle, and are part of the Costa Rican national park system.
These beaches are de major nesting areas worldwide for the turtles, which arrive from October to March to lay their eggs.

  Villa Cascada in Tamarindo, Costa Rica, is a wonderful place for a relaxing and fun time. I recently had the opportunity to spend a week in this beautiful home with a large group of women friends - all in need of a retreat from the real world for a time for various reasons. We were a diverse group in age, 22 - 69, and interests. The location of this beautiful home made it possible for all of us to indulge in whatever it was that we individually needed or wanted to do - from surfing lessons and night life to walking on the beach searching for beautiful shells or just lounging around enjoying the beautiful pool and patio area with a view right out to the Pacific. Wonderful restaurants and shops were literally just a walk down the beach so it was possible for us to do things as a large group, smaller groups or individuals. The large, well-equipped kitchen made it easy and fun for us to cook together and share our meals at the beautiful long table,large enough for all 14 of us to sit down and talk about our adventures of the day and of our lives. Being one of those travelers who normally tries to pack way too much into any given day of any given vacation, this was a delightful change of pace. Excursions can be arranged by the house manager, a helpful young woman who appears to be able to accomplish anything you might need or want. My favorite excursion was to the Palo Verde National Park where we boarded small boats to motor up the Tempisque River. We saw monkeys - white-faced and howlers, crocodiles, iguanas and even long-nosed bats in a line on a tree -beautiful birds, gorgeous foliage and amazing views. A wonderful day and a wonderful week. I returned home refreshed, rather than exhausted. Villa Cascada is perfect for anyone seeking relaxation surrounded by beauty - in the house, on the grounds, patio, pool and on the beach - which is a marvel in itself - the sand is unusual and re-arranges itself in interesting designs - a photographers dream.
