Casa Colleen is a gorgeous house nestled next to the Vista Hermosa B & B. The house and B&B; provided everything we needed to have a fantastic vacation! Judy and Javier were so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. They booked our excursions for us and were even our personal guides. I feel so lucky to have experienced the beauty of Costa Rica in such a personal way.
Casa Colleen is fully furnished and provided a most comfortable stay. I don't think a traditional hotel would have given me the experience I had.
I can't wait to see Judy and Javier again! Will definitely be returning! -

The home was beautiful, very clean and in perfect condition. The patio/pool area was great and was where we spent most of our time while at the house. The patio furniture was very nice and the outdoor grill/bar area was great for grilling and eating out by the pool. The pool was a necessity as it was very hot during the week we were there. Inside, the kitchen is very modern and fully equipped. The flat screen TV was set up with cable that offered a good amount of channels in English, although we rarely watched television. There was internet access provided by an internet key which can be plugged into the USB of a laptop.
The property manager, Judy Bonnel, was very helpful in assisting my family in planning all of our activities throughout our stay. In our week's visit we went on a zip-line tour through the jungle, took surfing lessons as a family, chartered a fishing boat for a morning, went on a guided kayaking tour at a nearby bay, and went hiking through a local nature reserve. Two local hotels offered very nice dining experiences, as did local restaurants in nearby Montezuma and Santa Teresa.
This was both a fun and relaxing vacation for my family. The home is a bit removed from the nearby town centers and provides a more quiet and peaceful base from which you can easily access plenty of activity. We found the Costa Rican people to be very friendly. Overall a great experience. -

We have been to Costa Rica before, and specifically the Tambor area. This time, we came with the intent to see how it would feel to "live" there, not just be visiting and staying in a hotel. We rented a small SUV in Liberia and drove down the peninsula to Tambor. What an amazingly diverse country!
Casa Colleen is a beautiful little locale, very private. The pool is wonderful, the house is very welcoming. We enjoyed our time here, and would definitely rent again, as it was literally like owning our own piece of paradise. We went to Cobano for groceries, and did a lot of cooking for ourselves. We were close to Tambor, Cobano, Santa Theresa, Montezuma ... all great places to go ... and always had our peaceful paradise to come back to. Judy and Javier were very helpful, and also allowed us our privacy. Any tours we wanted they were able to set up, and Judy and her staff create wonderful meals and beverages at her home (just across the back yard from Casa Colleen). We took the Tortuga snorkling tour, and for me, this was the best. Worth every penny. They pack a lovely lunch and drinks for everyone, provide the boat ride (which is amazing!). When we arrived on the beach, Judy set the table with all the yummies, and Javier got the first round of snorklers ready to go back out. The schools of fish you will see are very diverse and plentiful. I could have snorkeled all day! Make sure you have an underwater camera, because that is my one regret. The only pictures are in my mind! lol also went on a horseback ride to (and on) the beach. I can see that I will own a horse there, one day!
Judy and Javier are full of information and are willing to help you do whatever it is you see yourself doing in Costa Rica. We will be back many times over, and recommend this for families as well as singles. You can go anywhere within about 25 minutes maximum, and do whatever you want, and then go back to Casa Colleen to have your privacy. -

My husband and I stayed at Casa Martin from Jan. 8 thru Feb 8, 2011,truly enjoyed our stay. The villa was clean and spacious for our needs. We loved the garden and the pool and the big patio. The location is a little remote, however, with a car rental we were able to travel and visit sites anywhere. We did however, find that the house was not "fully equipped". It did not have a TV, cable or WiFi and the kitchen utensils and supplies were not complete. We believe if the owner added the things that are missing, this would be the perfect spot to spend a vacation and we will visit again.
Judy Bonnell did an excellent job and looked after all of our needs in a timely manner. She was efficient, friendly and very informative. We've made a new friend!
