Welcome to "Vista Hermosa" Situated just outside of the small fishing village of Tambor. We are a three room Bed and Breakfast that pride ourselves on operating like a Boutique Hotel. We will cater to all your vacation needs with full time concierge, bartender, waiter, and Chef on staff. We can arrange all of your tours, spa services, car rentals, drivers, airport picks and more. The open bar concept is complemented by a variety of food options for you to choose from throughout the day.

One of the best vacations we have ever taken. Judy and Javier take the time and effort to make sure your stay is very relaxing and comfortable. We were in Tambor during the recent 7.6 earthquake and still had a great time thanks to the staff at Vista Hermosa. Judy and Javier were able to recommend some great excursions and provide guidance to us for little known beaches and activities. Definitely off the beaten trail and definitely relaxation at its finest with the amenities you expect at home.
The breakfast and dinners that Javier and Judy prepared were excellent as well. Brocko (I know him as Brock, the amazing pitbull) and Nina (the golden retriever) were excellent companions for the short walks to the beach! -

Spent a Fabulous week in March 2012...Absolutely amazing! Judy and Javier went out of their way to make our Birthday Vacation unique and adventurous! We choose to have everything arranged for us...this made our stay very relaxing and carefree. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The staff came daily...everyone took great pride in their work and were a pleasure to be around! The location is superb...secluded but safe! They feed us like Kings and Queens. I would without a doubt recommend Villa Vista Hermosa and I cannot wait to return!

The service was fantastic , never wanted for anything.The home we stayed in was clean ,beautiful and very relaxing.
I loved the location as it was right in the heart of Costa Rica , to hear the birds and monkeys instead of sirens and trucks is what I love about it.
We went horse back riding and atving up in the mountains ,along the ocean .This was one of the Best Vacations I have been on.
Left my Heart in Costa Rica .
I will be back , thinking next year.

We were totally looked after from morning to night. Never wanted for anything. Home was gorgeous, bright with lots of outside area and quiet. Great location to get away and experience the true Costa Rica. Met many locals and enjoyed the fish market and small towns. We felt like we experienced another world and would highly recommend it to anyone.

We had an amazing stay the this B&B;! Judy and Javier were amazing hosts and really provide the best of both worlds: Judy had designed her home and guest accommodations to meet the highest standards you would expect in Canada, while Javier has amazing knowledge of the local area. As a team, they provide everything you could possibly ask for, and more!
We spent four here and would go back in a heartbeat! Our stay started with a delicious cocktail, made by Javier; it definitely set the tone for a great time! We ate dinner at the house a few of the nights we were there and the food was great! Javier also cooked us a great breakfast every morning.
The guest house that we stayed in was spacious, clean, tastefully decorated and had everything we could have possibly needed. We also enjoyed the pool and the dining area in the main house. As the property is off the main road, it was also very private and quiet.
The single issue that we had with our stay here was finding the property. It is very difficult to find on your own if you are driving yourself, so make sure that you have Judy's phone number before you get there!
Judy and Javier went above and beyond to make our stay with them an amazing experience, and by the end of our stay we truly felt like our hosts had become our friends. I would recommend this property without hesitation to anyone looking for a great place to stay in this area! -

Wonderful place. Lots to do. Our hosts-tour leaders were Judy & Yavier . They were just amazing at arranging all events. Judy & Yavier were extremely efficient, helpful and tons of fun and joined us on many activites. We went to Tortuga Island-snorkling, also went touring via aTV, Kayaking , Zip-lining, Horseback riding, golfing and final day massages. Food was excellent. Sunny & warm every day

Honestly I don't have a bad thing to say about our entire experience at Villa Vista Hermosa. Judy and Javier are superb hosts...and really know how to create an laid back, luxurious and accomodating experience.
We were looking to relax for for a long weekend away from the snow of Chicago and that's what got. Jaiver had Caipirinhas waiting for us upon our arrival...which is the perfect welcome cocktail. Living in the city and being used to city buses and firetrucks... I actually had problems sleeping because of all the exotic bird sounds at night...but that's my issue... the positves: the pool, the dining area is amazing, Judy/Javier are both amazing cooks, they know everyone in the area so whatever you need, they can take care of... -

As is written on their postcard "Your Oasis awaits" this little marvle is heaven in paradise. Altough we had some difficulties to find it due to the fact that their sign was overun, we found Judy, our hostess, by accident at a near hotel. Without any hesitation, she showed us the way. Once there it was so nice that we did not leave the property but spendt the rest of the afternoon in the pool. First we thought to go out for dinner but then, Javier proposed their mnu for that night it sounded that good that we decided to stay. We were surprised by the cooking skills of Judy, better then a five star restaurant. Next day , after a visit to Montezuma and the Cabo Blanceo National park, we decided again to freshen up in the pool and have dinner there, as good as the day before. There were guests without car (we had our 4X4) and the service they gave them to get them to beach and restaurant was just astonishing. Javier and Judy, please go on and keep this little paradise as it is. Congatulations!!!

From the first day to the last, Judy and Javier treated us like
royalty. The food prepared for us was delicious and it was
presented beautifully.
They brought us to all of the sites and activities that we wanted
to see and do, they even joined us on the Zip Line advenure.
The time flew by and we were sad to go.
But perhaps we will get to Costa Rica again one day and
stay at the beautiful Villas Vista Hermosa again.

We reviewed a number of different properties before deciding on this property in Tambour. We're so pleased we decided to rent with Judy and Javier. The home plus guest house met our needs perfectly! The house is beautiful, immaculate, and spacious. Judy and Javier are also great chefs, the food was delicous, fresh and plentiful. They did a great job coordiating all of our activities. One perfect day after another, totally stress free! Looking forward to a return visit. Thanks again Barbara

We didn't just "stay" at this villa -- we really feel like we lived there. Judy and Javier picked us up at the San Jose airport and by the time we reached the villa, we already felt like we had known them for years. Wonderful people, and they really know how to take care of their guests.
They offered a "meal plan" which turned out to mean "we'll come over and fix breakfast and dinner for you every day," and these were some of the best meals ever. They handled all the bookings for the atvs, the zip-line canopy adventure, the horseback riding, the snorkeling trip to Tortuga Island, you name it -- all we had to do was wake up, eat, and go where they took us. We rented Judy's minivan for the week which made it easy.
The house is beautiful - open, airy spaces, casual but elegant. The kids loved having their own guest house next to the pool. Plenty of places on the grounds to relax, read, and listen to birdcalls and howling monkeys you have never heard before. I'm still amazed at the moderate temperatures and lack of insects -- in July, not far from the equator.
It was a wonderful trip and we'll miss being so well cared for by Judy and Javier, our new friends. This is definitely a trip that will need repeating. -

Nous avons passé trois merveilleux mois à cette villa et lorsque j'y repense actuellement, elle me manque.Nous en gardons de très beaux souvenirs.Toutes les personnes qui sont venus nous visiter (17) ont été enchantées.Les gens du coin sont forts sympathiques de même que Judy et Javier.

The service was amazing. All my needs were taken care of above and beyond. The house was absolutely beautiful; it was very clean and comfortable. I could have spent my entire holiday at this home. There was everything, a needed pool for those hot days, a comfortable hammok, a huge kitchen, a dining area under a beautiful palapa and fantastic yard to relax in. Staying in Tambor you're out of the tourist area, but don't think there isn't anything to do. We still took some atv's out and went horse back riding, enjoyed great food, went surfing, and best of all took in the breath taking scenery. The only thing I would say that I didn't love were the roads. I guess coming from Canada I'm just not used to the rough roads. However, that's minor; I would go back in a heart beat!

What a beautiful place. The villa is very-well appointed. It is beautifully decorated and filled with every ammenity that one might need. The landscaping is fabulous and the guest house is perfect for the kids or that odd couple. You will need to rent a car to visit the many great (reasonably priced) restaurants, zip lining, swimming beaches, atving etc. This will definitely be a yearly vacation for us. I would highly recommend this villa, you won't be disappointed.
