We have visited / stayed in the Residence Degli agrumi several times since our last review. As always an excellent place. The apartments are comfortable, well maintained and their staff and the owner are great. The location is excellent and Taormina as beautiful as ever.

L'appartamento nel quale abbiamo soggiornato raccoglie, nella medesima struttura, tutte le migliori qualità che il viaggiatore si auspica di trovare: eccellente posizione; tranquillità; estrema pulizia; vani molto spaziosi e finemente ammobiliati.
Il tutto accompagnato da una cortesia e disponibilità oggi, purtroppo, difficile da trovare.
In conclusione, da oggi in poi, risiedere a Taormina per me significherà Residence degli agrumi! -

We got exactly what we wanted; a holiday apartment, clean, modern, finished to high standards. The Residence Degli agrumi's staff and owners are friendly and attentive. Vera was genuinely welcoming and helpful from the reservation stage until our departure. The accommodation is well maintained and comfortable. Residence Degli agrumi is family owned and run and the attention to detail is obvious.
The apartment had everything we needed from, cutlery, glassware, crockery, kitchen utensils, good sized and perfectly clean fridge, towels, soaps, extra blankets, an effective air condition. Free and relatively fast wifi! Our apartment had a wonderful terrace with sunbeds, umbrella, table and chairs, plants, we enjoyed every breakfast in the early morning sun whilst listening to Taormina slowly wake!
The Residence Degli agrumi is located right in the heart of Taormina, if you are looking for an apartment that is maintained to high standards, comfortable with minimum services and at an affordable price, then I highly recommend Residence Degli agrumi. -

Un endroit accueillant qui invite à la flânerie. La résidence des agrumes est un site exceptionnel. Il est au centre de tout mais dans un environnement où on peut trouver le calme et la tranquilité. C'est un lieu impeccable et je ne peux que le recommander à qui que ce soit. Le service est à la hauteur d'un établissement de perfection.

We spent a long time evaluating the options for acommodation for Taormina as we were travelling with our four month old baby daughter for the first time and completely lucked out with these appartment.
The management could not be more friendlly (even helping carry our bags up the stairs and fixing the wifi as soon as we asked ) and helpful and the accomodation is very close to the main street which is a beautiful prominade during the evening. We got the two roomed appartment which was perfect for our needs. There was plenty of space and considering the other options available very cost effective for Taormina.
There was a real mix of people passing through both young backpackers faimiles and older couple who all seemed very happy with the service which included all recommendations as required.
We travelled just out of season (not recommended) and the options available were restricted - even the cable car to the beach. if you do the same you need to realise that lots are closed and the tours few and far between so plan ahead. As for local excursion the beach is great as is a very uphill hike to Catelmola - a beautiful small village with stunning views. The walk downhill from the castle is alos stunning.
I would highly recommend these appartments for all types of tourists who have a budget. -

The studio was in excellant condition close to main attractions including Greek theatre, shops restaurents, gardens, views of Mt. Etna.. The owner, Antonino, is very friendly and helpful and despite other business interests makes guests feel their wellbeing is his only concern.

We stayed from 12 till 19 of September 2011. Appartment is located 3 minutes walk from central shopping street of Taormina. It had all facilities including kitchenware (plates, spoons, etc) gas oven, washing machine, refrigerator. It was a perfect substitue for 4 or 5 star hotel at much better rate. We would be happy to stay again if we return to Taormina.

My best friend and I first stayed at Residence degli agrumi in July 2007 for 10 days and loved it so much that we decided to return this July for another 10 days! The apartment we stayed in for both visits was the Mandarino. It's extremely clean, roomy enough for two people, (except the bathroom is a bit tiny for our Canadian standards, but good enough), with a fully equipped kitchen and washing machine, and the location is amazing!! It's near Porta Messina, so accessability to the cable cars and bus station for exploring and going to the different beaches is just a 5 minute walk! Plus, Corso Umberto, which is the main street for all the shops, places to eat, bars, taxis etc., is a 1 minute walk away!! Just a side note: the best beach to go to is Mazzeo, which is a 10 minute bus ride away. It's large and beautiful! The other beaches are beautiful as well but they are smaller and more crowded. Remeber to buy an umbrella at the shop across the apartment if you don't want to rent one with a chair at the beach. My friend and I went to the beach everyday and trust me when I tell you that you need shade after a while!! And, one of the best restaurants to eat at is Rosso Peperoncino, amazing food!!
Taormina is a beautiful town and the people are all wonderful! The owner is a sweet man, and he, along with the rest of the staff, are very helpful and accommadating to ensure that you have a pleasant stay! I tell everyone who plans on visiting Sicily about this hidden gem in Taormina!! You won't be disappointed!Response from Residence degli Agrumi - 08/12/2011

The accommodation was excellent and the owner was extremely helpful. Everything you could need. Well kept ,very clean and immaculate. Central location. Excellent restaurants. Beautiful enviroment. We would thoroughly recommend anyone to stay -

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Mr. Antonio Russotti and the entire staff for their hospitality, for sensitive and attentive attitude! For some reasons my flight from Moscow proved to be quite long and tedious, so I got to the hotel very tired and a bit upset. And I was very pleasantly surprised when I met, was carried out in the room, completing check-in in just a few minutes ... My room (I'm sure that all rooms in the residence) was very clean, bright, flavorful, home-style cozy. There's everything you need: air conditioning, TV, comfortable dressing room and well equipped kitchen, great shower and even a washing machine! I repeat: all, like home ... Large balcony on which growing ornamental potted lemons, playground in front of fragrant bloom tangerine trees… A very important detail: you will not bother - after a lengthy and very interesting walk through the narrow and so cute streets of this nice town, you can spell, relax in peace and quiet under the roof of this wonderful hotel. But if you ever need any help, advice - just call the reception desk and all of your questions will be addressed immediately! Residence itself is also very convenient: in walking distance shops, bistros, taxi Square ... A five-minute walk around the corner Via Di Giovanni, a magnificent view of the sea and begin a wonderful public gardens in Taormina… I will definitely try to return to this magical place and will certainly recommend it to friends and acquaintances! Thanks again to Residence degli agrumi for a wonderful holiday!

We landed in Taormina after a long flight from australia with 2 small children. The first thing that we noticed was how the lovely Sig. Vera came to open up the flat for us even though we arrived on a Sunday and they have a Saturday to Saturday policy. The fact that they were flexible and understanding enough to accomodate our needs due to small children already
made me feel that this would be a good place to stay. When we arrived inside ( the residence is in a quieter part of taormina away from swarming tourists but close enough to the action) we were met with a clean, tidy and spacious flat with a lovely balcony overlooking the street with a lovely seating area. The other thing that struck me when I was searching the net for a place to stay was how little pressure was placed on me to pay in advance. These people were kind enough to take our word that we would be there and only required a credit card for insurance. No pressure to pay upfront etc.
We had a minor problem with locating the boiler when the hot water did not start up, however, even this was rectified immediately and without any problem on the owner's behalf. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Money well spent.
