This apartment with open view to the sea and Mount Etna is part of a residence with garden, located on a small hill in a residential area only 4 minutes walking distance from the central Corso Umberto (pedestrian area of Taormina) and 3 minutes from the supermarket and the nearest restaurants.

We have just returned from a delightful week' in Taormina staying in apartment a at Residence Schuler. Our apartment had one bedroom, plenty of storage space, small kitchen, bathroom and comfortable living/dining area as well as a fantastic and spacious terrace from which we had stunning views of Mount Etna erupting on our first evening and a beautiful view over the bay and up to Castelmola above. The apartment was clean and tidy and very convenient, being just four minutes walk from the Corso Umberto. The little supermarket was just three minutes walk. We would recommend the accommodation which was reasonably priced at 100 euro a night, and our host, Claudio Schuler was helpful and unobtrusive. You do however need to be reasonably fit since there are steep steps and slope down to the Corso Umberto - and up again at night.

It exceeded are expectation. If you want to feel like you are staying at a four star hotel, with all the comforts of home, this is a place for you. We stayed here a week with our friends and could not have pick a better location. Two large bedrooms and two large bathrooms, both are spotlessly clean, as is the whole apartment unit. You will be close to everything that Taormina has to offer. You will have to climb some steps ( par for the course in Italy ) going and coming from the main part of town, which is a 5 minute walk tops, but it's worth it. The view will take your breath away, I assure you. Both the Blue Mediterranean and Mt. Etna is right in front of you. The owner, Claudio is extremely helpful is available 24/7. Make sure you call him when you get to town, if you are driving, the place is hard to find the first time. He will come and get you. Gps will not pick up the address and small streets. We will definitly go back.

Stayed for 6 days. Centrally located with easy access to walking area of Taormina. The apartment was very nice with everything needed for a short or extended stay. Great view of the sea and Etna. Really enjoyed the apartment and would stay again.

The four of us would have no hesitation in recommending these apartments.
The views are lovely and it is well positioned for all amenities. Mr Schuler is very helpful
and the apartments are very clean and have everything you need. We will definately come back again. -

This is a fabulous place in a great location, just a very short walk from the city center of Taormina but just far enough away to be quiet.
The view from the terrace is absolutely fantastic with the sea below and Mt. Etna rising in the distance. Claudio has a lot of flowers and plants that make the terrace beautiful.
Claudio is a great host; helpful when asked and always available when needed.
The apartment is very spacious and comfortable.
We had a great time and will come again. -

Very comfortable well equipped apartment with wonderful views of Mt Etna, the bay and mountains. Only 5 min walk from Corsa Umberto.
Mr Schuler is extremely helpful and always available as he lives on the premises. -

I stayed at Residence Schuler in apt. B for three months from January-March 2011. I could not have been more pleased with my choice. The building is perfectly situated, with beautiful views of the sea and Mt. Etna from the terraces. Breathtaking! The apartment was lovely and comfortable - a well appointed kitchen, modern bathroom and washer. The location is ideal: a 5 minute walk to the main street - the Corso Umberto - but far enough away that you don't hear the noise. The largest grocery store in Taormina is also 5 minutes away. There is a set of stairs just past the residence that leads you directly down to the grocery store, so you don't have to walk down the narrow street. In addition to all these pluses, the on-site management is fantastic. Claudio is very attentive and very helpful. He's there anytime you need him to answer questions or help out in any way. All in all, Residence Schuler was a wonderful choice for a vacation home and I highly recommend it.

We stayed in the center 2BR 2B apartment on the second floor (I think it was Unit C) which had a large living, eat-in quite well-equipped kitchen and two large comfortable bedrooms. Ideal for two couples (though one would be getting the better bedroom with the walk-out balcony and view.) A large balcony with dining table off the living room. Good free wifi reception. Easy 2-minute walk to supermarket and town (though on the way back it's a bit uphill for those with walking problems.) If you are staying in one of the smaller apartments, find out the square footage of the interior and the balcony to make sure it is what you want. Claudio and his mother live on premises and are always available and helpful. Taormina is wonderful.
