Port Angeles, WAinspirational home
Left on 11/16/2012 for a stay in November 2012
Taos was nice but the house and the house's owner made it a fantastic experience. You could sit in any spot in the home and think "that would make a good painting/photo" not exagerating. I could live there. I want to live there. Terrie made us feel very welcome.

A wonderful home that was the perfect winter retreat. The cozy house kept us comfortable when the weather turned cold. I think I could have stayed forever. The creative house and wonderful art was inspiring. I can't think of one thing I would have changed and I especially loved the warm floors.

DenverQuintessential Taos experience!
Left on 05/31/2012 for a stay in May 2012
This was the place to stay. Beautifully appointed, history, charm, easy access to town, the works, not the least of which is the fantastic art that integrates into the house. Between the outdoor patios to choose from, to the old art studio to hang out ... and dance in... (it's so large and the stereo is located in there!) to the cozy living room to curl up in and chat, we ended up spending a chunk of our visit just enjoying these simple, yet luscious amenities. With access to a full kitchen, we could prepare some of our meals at home (even serve an elegant dinner for ourselves in the beautiful little dining room with long wooden tables... just like in the magazines and movies...) which made going out to special restaurants even more special (and affordable, since we saved by dining in for some of our meals... the local grocery store is about a 3-minute drive from the house). To top everything off, our host, Terrie Mangat, was superb at making us feel welcome and ensuring that we had everything necessary for a lovely stay. I cannot recommend this destination enough. Thank you, Terrie and Taos for an ultimate vacation experience!!

We had a wonderful week at Terrie's house in Taos. The location is fantiastic being a short walk to the plaza and the house is amazing with large, comfortable living spacings. Terrie was very accomodating during our stay and even put up an amazing christmas tree for stay to make the experience all the better for our children.

Left on 01/05/2012 for a stay in December 2011
My family just spent a great week at this lovely home. The house was very well equipped and accommodated our group of 12 easily. There are many fabulous works of art throughout the house and it was great fun to discover a new treasure each time I entered a room! The location was perfect for the diverse interests of our family. We would love to stay here again, perhaps in the summer next time!

New YorkIdeal retreat!
Left on 11/29/2011 for a stay in November 2011
My husband and I spent a week at this wonderful Taos home in November 2011. We loved the place and the location. The home itself could not have more character. Each room is thoughtfully decorated and the finishings, from the wood floors to the tiled walls, beautifully capture the local flavor. We had a hard time deciding which of the wonderful bedrooms to stay in.
The location was also ideal. We only used the car for hiking and other out-of-town adventures. We were able to walk to good food, live music, yoga and shops. We rented another high-quality home in the area when we last visited and yet preferred this one in just about every regard. -

Perfect location, 2 mins from the plaza, immaculately clean, huge, fantastically decorated, spacious house. The house is the most interesting, artistic, beautiful house I have ever stayed in. The finishing touches are amazing, the quilts are incredible, we were all very happy with our stay and would not hesitate to stay there again! We look forward to returning soon!

This home is absolutely beautiful! The decor is a wonderful mix of vibrant, artsy-quirkiness with local southwest flair. Colorful furniture is found in all of the rooms and the huge studio with fireplace is super cool!! The bedrooms also offer nice privacy.
The location couldn't be better either. We walked everywhere! -

New York CityAmazing experience in a beautiful and artistic home
Left on 06/16/2011 for a stay in January 2010
My husband, three children and I celebrated Christmas and New Year's in this beautiful, historic home. My parents joined us, so there were 7 of us in all. We loved the home's spaciousness, its location (within easy walking distance of the center of town), and its furnishings. What's more, our host set up a gorgeously decorated Christmas tree, so that when we arrived all we had to do was set out the presents. We skied, visited the local museum, shopped and ate in town, and also made wonderful meals at the home. We had a memorable family reunion. I would love to return.
