Winnipeg, CanadaA charming taste of village life - pure relaxation and true hosp
Left on 08/25/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Una and her eldest son Zak were the ultimate hosts! Una is a great communicator, gave very clear directions to their rural location, and came to meet us at the road on her bike. The cottage was clean, well-appointed and comfortable, in a beautiful country hamlet. A perfect antidote to the crowds and bustle of Paris. There was a lovely welcome package of tea, coffee, a bottle of wine and other goodies for us on arrival. One small note: all three bedrooms are up a narrow flight of stairs, so probably wouldn´t suit less mobile visitors. The three photos of the stone cottage are representative but do not do it (or its beautiful views and surroundings) justice. Una and Zac gave us directions to a very nice boulangerie in nearby Brassac and accompanied us on a visit there, as well as taking us into the surrounding National Park for an afternoon of hiking and exploring. We finished our last day there with a communal BBQ on their terrace with friends and other guests. They even brewed up an old Irish remedy for my cold that left me feeling like a new woman! My only regrets are that we did not get to meet the other members of this lovely family and that we didn´t book a longer stay. Thank you, Una and Zak, for a beautiful visit. I sincerely hope we will see you again.

Out of the many places we have visited this was top. It was a bit different to the usual holiday - not very touristy, not full of bars and restaurants, we didnt come home feeling overindulged and lazy! Rather, it was a mix between an activity adventure and a relaxation haven. Una and family warmly welcomed us and they were available anytime during our stay to offer friendly advice about the area. The accommodation was immaculate, and truly unique. An historic farmhouse conversion, both rustic and modern. The area was well off the beaten track, providing the perfect location to relax and enjoy life at its most simplest. We bought delicious local produce and prepared our own meals most days. We also enjoyed mountain biking, canoeing, fishing, countryside hiking, dining out in the local villages, a city trip to the nearby Toulouse, and much more - we got engaged there! That holiday will always standout in our memories as truly special. Would highly recommend.

Very beautiful area, we really enjoyed ourselves. Shame it was very wet during our stay but the cottage was fine. I would go back just not with teenagers.

Thank you very much for your review. We very much appreciate your comments. You very unlucky with the weather the week you visited, in what turned out to be one of the warmest and driest summers in years.
It's certainly true that it's a lot more pleasant enjoying the activities available in the area when the sun is shinning.
It was a pleasure having you visit and we look forward to seeing you back again some time soon.

I had a lovely time here and would love to go back. The weather was great, sun shinning every day of my week holiday. Accommodation very good standard and the owners very accommodating. They were on hand for help and advice for everything from where to go and what to do and drove us to good restaurants. A great time was had by all. I would highly recommend this holiday destination for the warm welcome you receive the care and attention you receive and the wonderful walks in the area.

Dublin, IrelandFantastic family holiday
Left on 03/29/2011 for a stay in August 2008
Stayed here for 2 weeks in august of 2008. I have to say it was a great family holiday. Accomodation was fabulous, loads of room for our family,(2 adults, 2 kids, 13&9). spacious living area with TV & DVD, and a fully equipped kitchen, also our own outside area with a BBQ, great for those warm evenings with a nice bottle of local wine... Loads to do locally, a nearby lake provided swimming etc, all supervised with its own beach and lakeside restaurants. The towns of Castres and Mazemet have all the shops and restautants you'll need not to mention the smaller villages that you pass in between, each with their own collection of bakerys, pastisseries, cafe's and restaurants, for you to sit in and relax and watch the world go by, it is after all a holiday. Kids had a ball, went hill walking and cycling, even went ice skating one of the days! Scenery is fabulous and there is so much to see within a short drive of the house (1-2 hours) that you really could never be bored. One of those holidays where there is as much or as little as you want to do and the family who run it are so friendly and helpful, they really make sure that you have a great holiday. Will definitely go back.

Response from Una Latic - 03/30/2011

Staying in the Sage was one of the most peaceful holidays I have had yet with the option for plenty of action should we desire so. Una and Erol and their lovely children and dogs were great hosts and provided everything we could want for a lovely holiday...from the moment we were picked up at the airport til the moment we were dropped back, it couldn't have been nicer. the area is a hillwalkers paradise and if you're doing the compestela walk, it's a definite place to stayover and recharge...we will be back...x

Myself, my family and friends stayed in the Sage in august of 2010. We have stayed there on more than one occasion and we love the place! The area is beautiful, lots to do and relaxing as well. Una and Erol were wonderful to us and I really can't recommend it highly enough as a holiday destination. There are so many places of interest in the area, which is in a beautiful part of the South of France. It's a great place for an activity holiday as well as a terrific place to get away from it all for a relaxing stay. There are many great restaurants in the area, and the food is truly excellent. The house itself is spotless, very well looked after and has everything you could possibly want. We hope to be back many times over the coming years!
