Cal Porxo is located in the centre of the town of Pradell de la Teixeta, within Priorat County.
The house can be easily recognized by it's two grand porches at the main entrance . They were discovered during the rehabilitation of the house and where it takes its name since years ago.
The left porch leads to the main entrance of the house while the right one gives you access to the rural shop, which stocks gastronomic products of Priorat.
The hall, next to the street, leads to the stairs which ascends to the top two floors. We drawn your attention to the recovered master wall, built with local stone.

Pradell de la Teixeta is surrounded by the uniquely mountainous landscape of Priorat where there is a perfect amalgamation of rising hills and vineyards.
Pradell is a town surrounded by farmed land and steep slopes on all sides. It is located in the valley of the “Sierra of Pradell” and the “Mola” of Colldejou.
Pradell is a strting point for many roads of the “GR” long routes which have recently been highlighted and sign-posted. There are plenty of caves and paths to explore within its territory, such as the “Cave of the Rector “, “Petitot´s Cave”, the “Avenc of the Rabassó” , the “Cave of the Quimeres” and the “Cave of the Arbonés”. Some discoveries, of the prehistory era, have been made in the last one.
The landscape is full of hazel and olive trees although the cultivation of vineyards is expanding.

This has to be the best property we have ever stayed in, and we have been taking holidays like this for over 30 years. The quality of the accommodation, the beautifully designed interior, the welcome from Jesus and his family, the excellent wines and products from his shop next door, all were first class. The rooftop terrace was an unexpected delight. To be 20 minutes from the heart of the Priorat in one direction whilst also 20 minutes from the beaches of the Costa Dorada in the other direction gave us so many options of things to do that we will need to return many times to do them all. The village is immaculately maintained with lots of facilities for the children. The village streets are very narrow but car parking was easier than expected and most days we managed to find a space very close to the house. Falset catered for our normal shopping with a good Spar and some excellent wine and cake shops, with Reus easily accessible as well for larger, slightly more specialist shopping. One week was not enough in this amazing area and we will definitely return to this very special house.

Lovely place in a lovely village. Very much what I expected from the website. Added bonus of the most comfortable beds ever, perfect little roof terrace, convenient little general store/bakery opposite, and lovely walks straight out of the village. Very helpful host too. A gem.

Cal Porxo is a beautiful house situated in a small mountain village in the Priorat region of Tarragona. Sensitively converted to a high specification and located in the very centre of the village, the house is the perfect place to enjoy a wonderful holiday amidst a very small, friendly and welcoming Catalan village community. The owner, Jesus and his family were very warm and informative, as well as being very patient and sweet with our boy (5) and friend's little girl (2) throughout our stay. We enjoyed beautiful days by the municipal pool, which is one of the best located pools we have ever seen, as well as trips to the sandy beaches and the wonderful monastery at Poblet - well worth a visit. We will definitely be returning next year - a perfect holiday for all ages.

This is a townhouse located in the center of the Pradell de la Teixeta. It is newly renovated (with a lot of good taste and style). Is it fully equipped, even with free wifi for the customers. Pradell is a classical quiet village from the Priorat region, and is an ideal base to explore this beautiful catalan region. We were very pleasantly surprised by the value for money. One of the best was Jesus, the owner, who is very friendly and helpful. In addition to the house also has a region products store, with a careful selection of wines that are difficult to find at wine shops. We will repeat when we get to the region again!
