Eight Bedroom Villa Chianti

Villa Picasso consists of two lovely recently converted barns on an estate in the heart of the Chianti. Facing each other, the two barns are united by a large courtyard terrace and are surrounded by their own grounds where there are areas in the garden for dining al fresco, a barbecue and in a pretty position overlooking the Florentine hills is a beautiful swimming pool. Although immersed in the countryside, there is a little village within walking distance and the city of Florence is within easy driving distance.

The estate is situated in a lovely position just off one of the prettiest country roads... in the Chianti wine region, and is composed of the two lovely barns now beautifully converted into lovely villa accommodation. Close by is a totally separate private house. The barns are surrounded by their own grounds and terraces where there are tables and chairs for dining al fresco, as well as a barbecue area and in a fantastic position is a pretty private swimming pool (10m x 5m) enjoying a fine view of the countryside.

Every care has been taken to preserve the original characteristics with beamed ceilings and charming slanted brickwork on the windows all being retained. Each barn has two floors and are very spacious and nicely furnished in Tuscan style with hand painted furniture, yet modern comforts such as air conditioning (payable locally) and dishwashers have been added.

The ground floor of each barn consists of a very large open plan living room which has a fully equipped kitchen area, dining table and chairs, sitting area with settees and satellite television, also on this floor is a double bedroom and a shower room. Steps from the ground floor lead to the first floor where there are three pretty bedrooms, two with double beds, one with twin beds and two shower rooms. Each living room has patio doors opening onto the large courtyard terrace which unites the two barns.

As well this courtyard terrace there is plenty more space for relaxing and enjoying the essence of the countryside. In the grounds surrounding the villa there are garden areas with tables and chairs for dining al fresco, a barbecue and a private swimming pool (10m x 5m) with lovely views of the rolling hills and olive groves.

Villa Picasso is in a lovely location surrounded by Chianti countryside, yet a tiny local village with grocers shop and restaurant is within walking distance (800m), and just 4km away is the charming wine town of Montespertoli which has a larger selection of shops and restaurants. The city of Florence is easily accessible via nearby road and bus links (bus stop 300m), and many of Tuscany?s other treasures including San Gimignano, and Siena to name but a few are within easy driving distance.
