One Bedroom Split Level Apartment Chianti

Albo is an unusual, romantic apartment on a wine producing estate in the heart of the Chianti. Beautifully furnished in a mixture of antique and modern styles the apartment is complete with today?s comforts of air conditioning and satellite television. The well kept grounds of the estate have plenty of lawns and terraces for relaxing, a large swimming pool overlooking the valley, and there is a tennis court and small football pitch. Within walking distance is a lovely Chianti village and the property is totally environmentally friendly.

The estate is situated in a fantastic position in... the centre of the Chianti region and is composed of the owners 11th Century manor house, a farmhouse and hayloft which have been recently skilfully restored into 6 beautiful apartments. The estate is complete with a exquisite swimming pool (20m x 8m), with infinity edge, giving a romantic impression that the azure water runs directly into the vine covered valley beyond and for the more energetic there is volleyball, a tennis court and small football pitch. Well kept grounds surround the estate and beyond are vineyards and olive groves from which the owners produce excellent wine and oil which is directly available for tasting and purchase. The little village of Marcialla with its local shops is a handy walking distance of just over 1 km away.

The apartments themselves have been recently restored paying great attention to detail. All of the original characteristics such as beamed ceilings, and exposed stone walls have been retained and only the finest local materials have been used. Each apartment has its own individual character and all have fireplaces, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The addition of today?s comforts of dishwashers, safes, satellite plasma screen televisions, telephone/fast internet connection (on request), and air conditioning create the finishing touches.

Albo is an unusual split level apartment, one half of the restored hayloft. On the ground floor is the living area which has a fully equipped kitchen area with dining table and chairs, sitting area with settee (which converts to a double bed on request), lovely stone fireplace, satellite television and a shower room. Glass steps lead to the gallery floor above where there is an unique oriental style double bed. At the entrance to the apartment is its terrace area which is furnished with table and chairs for dining al fresco.

The estate is in a fantastic position immersed in the stunning countryside of the Chianti between the famous towns of Florence and Siena both of which easily accessible via nearby road and bus links. Many of Tuscany?s treasures including the medieval town of San Gimignano are within easy driving distance, and the area is well known for its country walks and excellent selection of local restaurants.

The estate is proud to be totally ecological environmentally friendly using only solar and naturally produced ?clean? energy so as to protect the beautiful countryside and aid in the prevention of pollution. Even the swimming pool has a salt based water purification system

  nicely renovated houses preserving the authenticity of the estate. The owners are very friendly and add to the confort of the stay. The different houses on the estate are close to each other so you have to be lucky with the other renting houses.
  Excellently positioned between Sienna and Florence, so good location to have day trips to various cities in the region. A real recommendation!!!
