Rome, Italygreen outdoors plus charm at home
Left on 10/17/2010 for a stay in July 2009
I stayed in the "Fontanelle" farmhouse of Colle San Paolo for 2 weeks in July, with an extended family of ten adults and 5 children- and we had an excellent stay and wondeful time-- the check-in, introduction to the rooms, and overall responsiveness was warm and excellent.
The home is furnished beautifully and charmingly comfortable, with spectacular views particularly on the east and southern sides. All the amenities are excellent, including the common areas: the infinity swimming pool with beautiful view of the valley, patio/garden with lavender and ancient olive tree, shaded barbecue area and the common (games/eating) room- as well as of course the pristine woods around the farmhouse.
We received excellent tips on where to go for wine-tasting; medieval villages (where we met a jolly band of Franciscan faithful walking for peace); donkey walks for the children; jazz music in medieval castles; and hidden monastries off the tourist map.
Most of all we enjoyed the fresh air, beautiful views and relaxed setting at the swimming pool with lots of space for meals in the common room and nearby walks in the early evening. We enjoyed every minute, emersed in the Italian countryside, with lots to do nearby whenever we felt the impulse to leave this comfortable and charming home. -

We stayed at Casali di Colle San Paolo with 10 adults and 3 small children. All of us had our own appartment. The common room with kitchen, diningroom and fireplace is a great addition when you're travelling with a group of friends. We used it every day to cook and relax.
The swimmingpool area has some amazing views.
Everything looks and feels very new (which it is) and the service is at a high level. Lots of information about the area can be found in the room, and lady-of-the-house Monica speaks very good English, so for non-italian speaking visitors, this can come in handy.
Great place, great atmosphere. We'll be back, someday! -

Denver, COIncredible stay and amazing Wedding at a wonderful villa!
Left on 09/13/2010 for a stay in July 2010
We rented Colle San Paolo for our wedding in July 2010. We rented places for 40 people and could not be happier with the outcome. Sabina and Monica were incredibly helpful in the months leading up to our wedding and stay at the villa. When we arrived they were right there and accompanied us to the markets in town and were there to help us with any needs we had. For the wedding they helped with set up and also prepared a fabulous meal for us. They also helped organize trips for large groups to nearby cities and restaurants. The villas were impeccable and beautifully decorated and they could not be situated in a more beautiful location. We had a few small children in our party and the villas were very child friendly with lots of small toys for the kids and a play area for the kids. I will definitely go here again and recommend that others stay here as well!

Beautiful olive-growing estate with oak woods and gorgeous views all around. The recently renovated historic farmhouses are divided into spacious, comfortable self-catering apartments perfect for families that have the highest level of amenities such as a/c, brand new fully equipped kitchens with dishwashers, laundry facilities, tv, tasteful cozy furnishings, and screens on the doors and windows!!! The apartments share a common pool and bbq areas, but at the same time there is plenty of quiet and privacy as well as nice individual terraces for many apartments. Many fun day trips are available in the area, and the owners were incredibly helpful with our every need

We spent 2 blissful weeks at this lovely farmhouse! Both Sabina and Monica are great hosts and provide a detailed activity sheet which includes places to go,eat and visit - we tried quite a few of thier recommendations and were not disappointed.
You need a car to stay at this place but definitely worth it/ Great value for money -

I found Colle San Paolo to be a home away from home. The accomodation is superb and truly authentic but with all the modern "extras" that make for a great holiday. The Triulzi family were all wonderful hosts and we simply didn't want to leave!
Here 2 more rentals located nearby.
