Templenoe Cottages provide quality accommodation conveniently located on the Milford - Te Anau Highway. Our cottages are close to the Fiordland National Park, a World Heritage Park in the Southland Province of New Zealand. Te Anau is the gateway to Fiordland, and is known as the walking capital of the world. The famous Milford Track and also the Kepler Track start here. Activities include fishing, hunting, kayaking, horse-riding, diving, glow-worm caves and sight-seeing in the one of the world's most scenic regions. My boyfriend and I stayed 3 nights in the Stuart Cottage and we both agree that this was one of the best accommodations we experienced in New Zealand. The cottage was clean, with a super comfortable queen size bed, TV and DVD player and a full kitchen. This is not to mention the big porch and garden view, as well as the huge windows that surround the cottage. Dave and Jane were the best hosts and very helpful with tips for places to eat, and things to do in the area. They were even nice enough to keep the place reserved and ready for us when we returned in the late evening after a grueling 4 days walking the Milford trek.
This is definitely a great place to stay while exploring the Fiorlands. -

Not only was the cottage impeccably clean, but the beds were comfortable, location perfect, as it was only a short stroll to the centre of Te anau and had everything you needed-clean towels, kettle, hot chocolate/tea/coffee etc.
The hosts, Dave & Jane, were more than hospitable, going out of their way to ensure that my friend and I were enjoying our stay. They have good knowledge of the area and activities available and are willing to impart this knowledge on request. Overall, we had an enjoyable and relaxing stay in this accommodation.
