My wife and I were first captivated by the stunning photos of Villa Caribe and its online description. It was only after we arrived that we could see that the place was far more gorgeous than it appears on the internet. Villa Caribe is spacious, very clean, well-appointed and has views that cannot be adequately captured in photographs. We were met at the airport by the caretaker - Charles. After we picked up the rental car, we followed Charles out to the Villa.
Once we arrived at the Villa, Charles spent about an hour giving us a brief history of the island, places to go, things to see, places to eat and things to avoid.
During the course of our week-long stay, we met other guests and some of the maintenance staff. The staff was very friendly and would come over and introduce themselves on first meeting. The grounds are well maintained and you don't hear any noise coming from other villas - even with the shutters and doors open. We found the pool to be ideal for taking a quick dip after a trip to the beach. (Or, late night skinny dipping - since you have the utmost in privacy.) The Wi-Fi works great and offers a reasonably fast connection to the internet. There are a sufficient number of cable channels if you just want to watch TV. Cell phone reception can be problematic, but the "landline" phone in the villa works just great.
My wife and I have made maybe 20 trips to the Caribbean and by far Villa Caribe and St. Croix are at the top of our list - and we have stayed in some really great places. The rental rate is extremely reasonable for the quality of the accommodations.
What we liked most: Location, amenities, cleanliness, views and comfort.
What we like least: The road up the hill, you can't drive out the back - which would put you on the other side of the island and too much furniture for our taste. (Note, the furniture is nice stuff, but way more than we like to have in a room.)

This is the best deal on St. Croix. For less than the cost of a room at one of the upscale island hotels, you get a fabulous and romantic room overlooking the ocean, your own living room, kitchen, and your very own private pool! What could top that??? The accommodations were impeccable and I lived on the patio and in the pool all week! Anne's services are top-rate, too. Nothing is overlooked. All in all, a great vacation!

Elizabeth and I cannot begin to describe what a great time we had. The villa is great and for a couple wanting to get away, it is perfect. Charles was helpful at the airport and we followed him to Villa Madeleine. It would have been helpful if we had known from the start that is what we were going to do because I would have been studying the maps a little less. ?
The villa itself has everything we could ask for.?
All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I think it is one of the nicest places I have stayed at.
